I got these 2 years ago and yesterday I was at the beach with my wife. I wore these boots to the Santa Monica beach in CA. Before you ask, I hate sandals and shorts, I will not wear them. As I walked with my wife by the shore, I avoided the waves because I did not want my boots to get wet. Well, my wife was enjoying the ocean water when she thought it would be funny to hold me in place as the wave hit my boots. They got wet and submerged to about the 6 '' mark. My feet were dry. I was confused and surprised, they did not let any ocean water in at all. So I figured, why not and I pushed it further, with about 3 second intervals of waves, they survived. Until the water went above the 8 inch height and then my socks got wet, which is understandable. So I wanted to write a review because it deserved a review because it did a great job preventing water from getting in. It was kind of fun to be honest but the salt is not great afterwards.

I work in a steel warehouse for a ten hours a day and comfort is a must for me. I have been wearing these boots for the past five months and since day these boots have been the most comfortable boots ever. The first day I wore here boots for my full shift without problems and these boots felt like they had been worked in for months before. These boots have been through mud, snow, ice and I have had no problems with traction or warmth. I have had a 800+ pound hot rolled steel bar( scaled from the foundry and roughed outside covering) fall and give a glancing blow to my left heel and there wasn ’ t any marks on the heel of the boot. I could not be happier with these boots and while be buying another pair, please don not discontinue these boots ever.

Have worn Carhart shoes, coats and clothes for over twenty years. The shoes I buy are the 8- inch- high variety. I bought these for my retirement because the need for higher boots are not needed. They can take a beating and still look good and durable. I have worn Redwing and I would put these boots up against them any day.

Boots are very comfortable. Little to no break in time. They have a great arch support for when your standing for long hours. I have had them for a couple have held up through rain, mud, dust, dirt, snow. They are water proof. My feet we ’ re slightly damp standing in torrential down pours for my job but after what I was in I doubt any boot is that waterproof…. They are starting to wear out though. I mean I do put them through rough stuff but I don ’ t expect these to last 6 months in the toughest of conditions.

Solid boot. I work in natural gas and am outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. Snow in Idaho and rain over in Oregon and Washington They 've been great for driving, job site and walking around, and the waterproofing is top notch. I 've ridden the Harley a couple times with them in and the met guard is no good for that, protects your foot too much to have good connection with the shifter, but for work, these are great.

I 've had this boot for 2 weeks and it has held up well with hourly patrols which total around 15, 000- 20, 000 steps a day. Pair it with compression socks or nicely padded merino wool socks and you wo n't have any foot pain at all. I 'm 250lb so it should be even more comfortable for those people who weigh less and are in better shape than me.

We all use a ball and oil, or beat a glove to form pockets but keeping care of a glove goes further. As the leather gets supple and broke in you still want to retain shape and not have a glove pancaked in a bag. This allows for the natural shape to be maintained and super simple to put on. My 9 yr old immediately puts it on after glove use and old had to be shown once how it worked.

great idea to prevent your gloves being pancaked. But, trying to get your kid to consistently use is not so easy. when used properly, it's great. however, younger kids has a tough time putting on the strap.
