I spent the summer in the Southern Utah desert doing fieldwork. This bivy was great when the bugs got bad. I slept easy knowing I would n't wake up snuggling a snake or scorpion. The bivy is easy to set up, super light, and seems to be durable enough... I 've spent about 25 or so nights in it with no issues.

This product is light, relatively compact, quite robust, and does its job well. If you are looking for an ultralight replacement for a tent this is a good start, I would probably pack a rain fly or tarp just incase. Just make sure you are looking for a bug net, because this product obviously does n't retain heat, stop rain, or allow for another friend inside( unless y'all are lovin all night). Waterproof or not, you 're going to use a tarp if you camp in a bivy- have you ever tried to bed down in the rain without a tarp and realized that all your kit gets soaked and now you have a cold and wet night ahead of you? This is why tarps are essential when bivy camping. That said, this solves the condensation problem that you 'll experience with all bivy bags. This bivy is super light, easy to use, roomy enough for my rectangular mattress and packs down to nothing. If you 're one step away from no bivy at all, but still want protection from bugs, this is the product for you. Disclaimer: if you 're using this in bug season you 'll probably end up realizing that you should have brought a tent. That extra room when dealing with an onslaught of black fly's and mosquitoes is peace of mind when camping. In other words, bring the right kit for the job.

I ’ m very pleased with this product. Off and other common products never fully protected me from mosquitos and they smelled terrible. When I wear this, the mosquitos leave me alone and it doesn ’ t smell nearly as bad. I do think the aerosol is easier to use, but this is still worth it.

I hate insect repellents, as they are usually greasy, once applied. This product is not. Once applied and rubbed in, I could not tell that I had it on my skin. I chose this over products containing DEET as they can be harmful to some plastics, like those used in cell phones and cameras. Since I would be handling these items frequently, I did n't want to take chances. This product worked very well. I spent a week traveling in Ecuador and never got any insect bites. On more than one occasion, I watched a mosquito land on my bare skin, then immediately leave before biting. I also used Sawyer Permethrin on my clothing. Money well spent, considering the potential risks of disease carrying insects in Ecuador.

[ Homie and I decided to try out hammock backpacking over the summer and picked up the Guardian SL to pair with my eno hammock. This I believe is the lighter of the Guardian model. It does its job- set up and breakdown, ease of getting in and out of, and bug protection. I think my only issue was I have to make sure the end is cinched closed because it's an added pull. It should work with other brands of hammocks.

This spray seems to be working. About a month ago I went camping and got a tick. I was using another brand of tick and mosquito repellent. Obviously, it didn ’ t work that well. Although I did not end up with Lyme disease, I did have to go through the full anabiotic treatment for 14 days. First of all, you NEED a liner for your sleeping bag. If you wash your bedding at home once a week—that being under ideal hygienic conditions where you shower every single day—you really do n't want that funk getting into your expensive sleeping bag! That's where a liner really helps! This liner is an upgrade for me. I 've been using a Sea- to- Summit Comfort Blend for several years, and I 've really liked that product a lot. But I thought a back- up liner might be nice. But I was really blown away with how nice the Breeze liner is! Mine is the regular Mummy style, and I really appreciate the soft, wicking material that the Breeze is constructed from. Apparently it's a similar material as the Tek towels( I think…maybe its one of the other towels?). I sleep hot, and I sweat a lot at night, so drawing that moisture off is a really nice feature. To help regulate my comfort( including at home) I usually stick my feet out of the end of the bed( and of the liner), so the opening at the bottom is actually a really welcome feature! Yeah…I do n't wander the campsite in my liner, but I suppose you could if you wanted to. To each their own! Anyhow, I really love my new liner. What WAS going to be a spare is now my go- to!

The snaps at the top mean you can have your arms free which is great for people who sleep with their hands behind or above their head. It is so easy to wash compared to a sleeping bag. [ I bought this to compliment my hammock camping. So far I 've only been able to setup in my backyard but it has worked well. We have a drainage way that is full of reeds and has a steady presence of bugs and this worked well. The opening is somewhat tight to get into but setup and overall use was excellent. I have a cheap hammock that the bug net torn in. I purchased another Eno product since my Eno underquilt added so much more comfort to cold nights I thought their bugnet might also. I was not disappointed. The net once fully installed has enough space to throw your pack underneath giving it a dry bug free place. Coating the net in permethrin before your trip adds another layer of protection for the deep woods. But the net it self has an abundance of room on the sides so even persistent bugs have no chance to dine on the sides of your arms. I recommend this for almost any hammock user.

The scent is not too strong, it's much more pleasant than other sprays I have used in the past. This spray covers well without leaving stickiness or residue behind. I like how quickly it dries when it is applied. I would definitely purchase this again!!

We live in the country so mosquitoes are terrible here. This product is very affordable and effective. It does n't bother the kids skin and has a good scent. It comes in an easy to spray bottle.

This is definitely one of those products that you only hear about from word of mouth. A friend of mine's 8 yr old daughter was stung by a bumblebee her quick response and use of the extractor saved her daughter from hours of painful agony. I 've used it myself for a bee sting I suffered from having my arm out the car window. Thankfully I had it right there in the glove box, it sucked up the stinger giving me instant relief and 100% effectiveness. On two separate occasions I had friends stop by that were suffering from a spider bite, they knew that I had this, I 've told everybody that I know about this and even some that I did n't know. Both were okay but still suffered from the after effects of a wolf spider but to a very very much lesser degree. Hear me today and believe me tomorrow that you wish you would have got one.
