I got these pants in the spring for field work( I work in environment). I ended up wearing them all summer and was impressed how well they handled bushwacking in thick forest and shrubs without getting shredded. The big pockets are very useful to keep your things within reach at all time. In the fall I went for a 5- day backpacking trip and I was absolutely impressed by their versatility. We had some hot days, and the vents allowed me to stay comfortable. We had a night of pouring rain and the next day everybody got their pants soaked by the wet vegetation. The G- 1000 fabric was just water repellant enough to keep me dry. Finally we went over a snowy mountain pass, and the hooks allowed me to tie the pants to my laces and keep the snow from getting into my boots. Overall the only thing these pants could n't handle was the darn chipmunk that chewed a hole through the pocket one night to get at the couple peanuts that were left in there!

The first time I really used them, I was backpacking in the Sierras in the middle of summer and though I might use a lighter pair in that particular climate, the fact that I did n't feel like I was melting was huge. The Keb trouser is my favorite Fjallraven pant. I sometimes call it a technical sweat pant. It is THAT comfortable. These are my go- to pants for colder mountain biking temperatures and spring skiing. The botton system at the ankle makes for a good jogger style fit. Or you can loosen it up to fit over a bigger boot. Despite the two zipper vents I find that these trousers start to feel a bit too toasty for temps 65 degrees farenheit and warmer. Check out the abisko lite trekking trouser for a comparable style made with a lighter weight fabric.

I ’ m hard on gear, especially clothing when in the mountains. After loving my first pair of Kebs, I bought a second and they ’ re quickly replacing most of my softshell- style mountain pants. The side zips are great for venting the legs on sunny days on the glacier. I ’ ve worn these through dumping snow and miserable rain and have never had an issue so long as you keep up with the water- proofing recommendations. The design is well though out with stretchy material for comfortable movement in spots and reinforced material where necessary for durability.

This is the first time I ’ ve owned Fjallraven hiking pants. I already own two of their jackets in multiple colors, so I wanted to try their pants out. I have a slightly curvy, petite body( 5 ’ 3 ”, 120 lbs, 26 ” waist) and ordered a size 4 with a 30 ” inseam. I wanted a looser fit to be comfortable during activities or just lounging at home, and to have room for a base layer in the winter. The waist is definitely too large for me, but they fit perfectly everywhere else. I can easily tuck in a shirt to fill the gap, or just wear a belt. The material feels great, and after wearing them a few times hiking, I have no concerns.

I am 5 ’ 10 125lbs and have the old version in size 29 and was thinking of going a size smaller because they were pretty baggy. I ’ m glad I did not and stuck with 29, I consider them a good fit.

The pants are a dream. Incredibly precise design that fits like a glove. I will wear these hiking and just out and about. I love the higher( mid) waist and my only complaint is at 5 ’ 10 ” I wish the tall length was still a bit longer. The length is perfect when standing but when I squat they come up a little more than ideal. Still they are truly so well made that they get 5 stars. I love the ventilation too.

Purchased these pants, that I have been looking at for some time, for Alaskan travels. I was able to wear them multiple times on rainy days and then the versatility of just touring. Made my packing list much smaller because they are so versatile. I am 5 ’ 6 ”, 57 years old and 138 pounds. I tried on both the 6 and the 8, both of them fit well and ended up keeping 8 so I could layer for warmth if I needed. Went with the 32 inch length because I like for the pant leg to extend, but the 30 inch would ’ ve worked too.

I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. Like other reviewers said, it's a little rougher that ideal, but I do have to say, it held up to backpack friction much better than the Abisko wool shirt I took on the same trip and I did* not* get any irritation despite walking all day with a 10- 20kg bag for the first time. Dries very very quickly, which is great when conditions are damp.

I love this hoodie so much I bought it in four different colours. It's lightweight and softer than I expected it to be. It fits very well and is flattering and the hood is easy to wear even with a ponytail which is a nice touch. Leggings are the only thing that I have ever been able to wear hiking/ backpacking until now. Although leggings are great to wear while hiking, they are sometimes not durable enough for parts of the trail, but they were the only pant that came up high enough on my waist and had room for my hips and thighs. The Nikka, however, does both AND they add much more durability and confidence to my hikes. They also have bigger pockets which allow more room for storage. The stretch fabric through the midsection and thighs make rock scrambling and uneven terrain much more comfortable than a regular hiking pant as well.

I used this pack for the first time on a 12 mile round trip overnight stay at a lake. It held everything I needed- I am an over packer too- and I still had room to pack out a few extra things like camp garbage. The hip support pads were nice and cushioned and didn ’ t chafe my skin like other packs, but I did notice my hips more sore than normal the day after. I wish there was more exterior pockets for smaller items, but the top cover having such a large pocket did the trick for me to access things like headlamp, bug spray, and some snacks. I ’ m very loyal to TNF brand and was reluctant to replace my well used spectrum pack, but very happy with my purchase and look forward to more use.

[ These Nike 5 ” shorts are very nice. I love the ACG aspect of Nike, it is certainly one of my favorites especially since we hike a lot and adventure outdoors often. I am a bigger guy with large thighs and these shorts are simply just too short for me. The liner is a nice touch though because I do not always have to wear underwear with them. I use them for training and they are very durable, lightweight, flexible, and honestly some of the most comfortable shorts I ’ ve had. The only downfall is the length which I will certainly blame my body frame for( and my diet). [ I live the length of the shorts. They are breathable and easy to get around with when on walks or hikes. I also really like the design of the shorts. I love the color( black) and how the mesh on top has a slight contrast, but still matches. I really like the small details in the shorts such as the small pockets in the front and the adjustable strings in the back. What I could 've done was tried a size up as the groin area is a little tight. I would like a looser fit around this area but the size I got work just fine. Overall, the shorts are great. I love the design, the color scheme, the placement of the logos, the small pockets, and the length of the shorts. The sizing could be a little bigger around, but the waistband fit and the shorts were not too tight.

I was concerned at first about the 5 inch length( I have long legs) and then being too short but they honestly are the perfect length for running. I feel super free when wearing them. I was concerned about them being brief lined as well( historically prefer unlined shorts) but the lining was super comfortable and not restricting at all. Fabric is top notch, they couldn ’ t have found a softer, more comfortable fabric for these shorts. Truly my new go to for every run. The design of the shorts is classic Nike simplicity. I really love the look and design of these shorts, they go with all my running shoe colors( have the Nike Pegasus in green and blue). I love how these shorts feel the most, it ’s truly the most lightweight, comfortable pair of shorts I ’ ve ever owned. Wearing these vs other athletic shorts makes you realize how Kight and airy these dry fit adv shorts are. I love this pack. It has all the features I need for backpacking trips 5 days and under. Might be a bit small if you wanted to go for 7 or more day trips. Or a super cold winter trips where you need to pack bulky gear. But for average 3 season gear and trips around 5 days or less this is great. My gear that is perfect for ~20- 30 degree nights all fits just great in here. The features of this pack are more than enough and it is durable material. As others have stated the only change I would make is expanding the side mesh pockets a bit. With a full pack it is hard to fit a Nalgene in them. But that's about my only complaint. Plus there's a pocket for a water bladder anyways.

I am typically of the belief that you get what you pay for, so I was wary of these poles, but I thought for the price I could n't go too far wrong, as you can easily pay 3 to 4 times for poles like these. I 'm an avid hiker and have been using poles for years. I also do n't just use them to steady myself, but to propel me forward, and to cushion me going downhill, so I am pretty hard on them. Just got back from a 24+ mile day hike up Half Dome and Glacier Point and the poles worked great. BTW, if you are going to use poles; put your hands through the loops the correct way- up from the bottom, like a cross country skier.

I own both aluminum and carbon- fiber poles, quick- lock type, from Cascade Mountain Tech. I love them so much, I 've even bought sets for friends. I prefer the aluminum for trips where I might need a stronger pole, such as when in deep snow( where I might bend the pole while it's plunged deeply into powder) or when I 'm using them as tarp poles. I prefer the carbon- fiber poles when I 'm more concerned about weight than strength. Honestly, the difference in weight is hardly detectable by me. You just ca n't beat the price for the aluminum poles. Also, I have been so pleased when I 've needed spare parts that they are very affordable, and if I remember correctly, the shipping was FREE even for such an inexpensive total price. Amazing! You just ca n't go wrong with poles from Cascade Mountain Tech. Why the heck would you pay double the price or more? To shave off a few grams? If you have money to throw away and you ca n't strengthen your body enough to tolerate a few extra grams or ounces, then knock yourself out. There are lots of hiking poles out there, with a lot of different features. The CMT cork- grip aluminum quick- locks will fulfill a lot of needs. First, they come with a wide variety of fittings: want rubber feet to grip dry terrain? You get 2 different style feet! Want mud baskets to prevent them from seeping into spring muck? They 're in there! Going snowshoeing, and desire snow baskets to keep you out of power, and tungsten- carbide tips to bite into ice? They have that, too! These are an excellent pole to start off with for a variety of weights and outdoor activities, and can keep pace with you for quite a while until the if and when you progress to the higher levels that require specialized equipment for your wilderness adventures. I was referred to try these off a You Tube video, `` PCT section hiker gear review. '' Ordered a set for the wife and myself. Gave them a training test on a 3K' ft gain hike/scramble over about 5 miles. We are both avid runners so switching between running with the poles and using them as an aide was essential. We were both very happy with them thus far. They felt a tad flimsy when full extended at 130mm but when there's a huge ascent we are using the poles around 115- 120mm which makes them feel super sturdy. Happy with the ease at which the poles can switch between carbide tips and soft tips.

I haven ’ t compared sizes or other specs, but figured the unisex version was a safer and more flexible bet. I picked the 30 degree sleeping bag again for flexibility. I ’ ll be able to layer within the sleeping bag if I happen to camp in colder weather. I love the vented storage bag( as pictured). Not all sleeping bag storage bags are vented and that ’s a big positive for me.

Where to start with these poles? They 're ultra- lightweight and telescope down to the perfect size to store on the side of all of my packs( avalanche airbag+ backpacking bag+ day hike bag). They come with all of the assorted tips/attachments that you would ever need whereas some companies like to squeeze more money out of you when you decide that you want/need a pair of snow baskets or any other type of attachment for the tips. They 're super strong, I have n't had any issues with them collapsing/giving out on me and I tend to put quite a bit of my weight into these( especially when splitboarding). The cork handles are fantastic, they 're ultra comfortable and I have n't had any issues with blisters or anything along those lines. The extended grips below the cork material are also great for choking up on the poles when needed. The wrist straps are extremely comfortable no matter how hard I wrench into/put my weight into them. The telescoping itself is performed extremely smoothly as I 've had other pairs that do n't slide nearly as easily from one size to the next as you 're making on the fly adjustments for different pitch types. Overall, for the price point I am beyond satisfied with these poles and I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking at getting a pair of trekking poles for ANY activity.

Made the hike up to and down from the Harding Ice Field in Alaska so much easier. Appreciated the poles going up, but also made the climb down that much easier. Height adjustments are made quickly and easily. Poles also unfold and click into place easily. Folds easily into the pouch provided and packs well in suitcase or backpack. Used these poles on hiking trails in Kaitmai and Kenai regions. Very pleased with the investment as it made a tremendous difference in making hikes a bit easier. Looking to keep using these poles for local hikes now too.

I took these poles up Humphrey's Peak( 12, 633 feet) and these poles performed GREAT! This is my second set of CMT poles and much like the first set, they work super well. They are very easy to adjust, very durable, and the extra accessories are nice to have too for various conditions and terrain. I had several `` pole bender '' moments where I could have damaged my poles, however these held up and I did not end up doing any damage to them. I look forward to using them this summer as I continue to chase summits.

have n't gotten to take the bag out on my trip yet, but this is the only pack I have found that met my needs. the square shape maximizes storage, which I feel other brands ignore to take account for. laptop sleeve and secret passport compartments give extra security for important belongings. I love the bag's hip straps which fit perfectly on me at 5'2 and give comfort comparable to competing brands. the other bags I was looking at that had the square shape did not have the straps, and when I tested them out with actual weights, it did hurt. the straps were very necessary. my favorite addition is the added day pack on top- I typically bring with me on trips a similar sling bag but hate when I combine it with other backpacks since the straps get all strangely intertwined. the fact i can just zip it on top will make airport travel much easier. with that being said, the fact it comes off and changes into a personal item/carry on is so helpful. the size of the daypack is big enough for small shopping outings or a day hike- maybe not enough to hold clothes for a few days though, but that is not why i got it. The strap underneath the day pack serves well to hold a jacket/towel which helps with easy access/storage. I got it in black. the design is very clean and sleek and not too `` travel- ish '' which I appreciate. The water bottle holder was an extra plus, and it is a good sized compartment too. bag feels sturdy, does n't look bulky on the body, and was a great deal especially during black friday with the free packing cubes. plan to use this for more long term international trips and seems like my new all the time carry- on. would recommend.

Great day pack. Pockets in all the right places for convenience items. Not having an internal frame, saves the weight I was looking for. Main pack pockets are right sized. Hydration sleeve allows for a variety of connection styles by using a Velcro strap. Comfortable shoulder straps with phone and bottle/other stretch fabric pockets. Waist belt has convenience quick access pockets and useful mini daisy chain rows, nice for small caribiners to connect small stuff. Lots of details others tend to leave out.

It's a great backpack. I got it large and it was actually smaller than I thought it would be. It definitely wo n't go over your head if you think it's those types of backpacks. You can reach the water bottle if you are able to reach for it normally on the side pocket. It looks nice and the clips are easy to snap on and off to remove the pack. The pockets all are great and the small pocket on the strap is pretty convenient and you can see through it a little bit to know what's in it too.

I used this pack on a winter 7 miles, 3, 200' elevation hike breaking trail most of the way. I packed from the bottom up: belay parka in a compression sack, burly goretex shell jacket, 2 one liter nalgene bottles, extra gloves, med/ emergency kit( about 1L in size), 2, 500 calories of snacks, nanopuff jacket. Two headlamps and keys in the internal zip pocket, map and microspikes in the external zip pocket. Two 16oz waterbottles in each side pocket for 3L total, neither side waterbottle fell out while butt sliding down the trail. Samsung Galaxy S22 fit nicely in either chest pocket, chapstick in the bottom elastic pockets. 25 '' snowshoes on the S/M pack were easy to put on a take off with a sling. I did n't use the zip pocket next to the waterbottle holder but it definitely seems like it could be useful. Used the double sternum strap( very comfortable!) to clip my gloves to the bottom strap and tuck them under the top so no snow fell in. I carried the pack around for 15 minutes with 30lbs of rice and beans in the back, it carries the weight well but you can feel items through the back if you do n't pack right. No soreness the day after hiking. I plan to take this out on longer day hikes- presidential range, great range where I might want extra gear but do n't want a 40+L pack. No signs of wear after a single hike getting snagged by trees, seems like it will be durable. Sizing: I typically wear my packs at 18 '' torso, the S/M mens is a perfect fit, I had about 1 '' extra waistband with a 28 '' waist. I bought the Deuter SpeedLite 28 womens but it was terribly tiny all over, this is everything I wanted that pack to be and better. Overall: Very well organized, lots of attachment points, lightweight, comfortable, and moves well with the wearer. New go to pack, well worth the price.
