The scissors are the best in a multitool or knife: smooth spring action, long blades, not finicky or flimsy. ... Also the interchangeable saw and file are cool

[ I took this work of art backpacking with me as a Ranger for The Dyrt in the Huron- Manistee National Forest. Although this device may come at a heavier weight than many weight- conscientious backpackers would prefer, it's as sturdy as can be. For me, I 'd rather carry a few extra oz around than have to worry about my multitool getting bent or broken in my densely packed pack. Not to mention with that weight comes 20+ tools and seemingly infinite possibilities. The Surge is not only the ultimate multitool, it's the ultimate backpacking tool.

[ Just got this as a gift, messed around with it today. Better than anticipated. Really excited to start putting it to use. Feels solid and sturdy.

[ I had a first generation WAVE multi- tool before. I loved it dearly. It had everything one could possibly ask for. I used it during my time in the military and well into my civilian life. Never once had a problem with it at all because Leatherman usually( and for good reason) means quality. I was heartbroken when it was stolen from me. Kind of felt like losing an old friend, really. Funny to have such feelings towards an inanimate object, but we had done a lot together. Breaking down weapons, fixing stuff around the house, pulling hooks out of the mouths of trout and salmon among other things. It feels good to have a Leatherman again.

chilesmith
[ This leatherman is the best out there. It is larger than others I have owned and is strong. I have managed to break ones in the past and leatherman replaces it at no cost.

[ I own smaller models in the Leatherman line( Crunch, Charge, Juice) as well as a Victorinox Classic. The Surge is by far the heaviest multitool, perhaps a bit too much to use as EDC unless you are using the larger pliers all the time. The scissors are the best in a multitool or knife: smooth spring action, long blades, not finicky or flimsy. Top recommendation if you need this size of multitool.

Ive always used Gerber in the past but this is by far the best multi tool ever! The knife is razor sharp( it passed the shave test). Pliers/wire cutters are what would be expected, as well as the other tools. A surprise was the letter/box opener was an outstanding little tool.

Son gave this to his girlfriend's dad at his Father's Day/Birthday party and he loved it. In fact he had just had a conversation with some fellow workers about how useful these multi- tools are. So it's a great gift for any dad even if it just gets tossed into the glove box.

After loads of research trying to find the perfect EDC MT I found it in the Dime. The tool selection is excellent in this size of EDC. Quality is above average and I 'm sure this MT will be in my inventory for generations. I 've never owned a package opener but have to say that after discovering this device on the Dime I can now enjoy birthdays and holidays without the worry of dealing with those pesky plastic packages! I live around citrus farms and the package opener serves as an excellent peeler as well..
5
Awesome little tool, perfect addition to complete a EDC kit.
5
Better than the small Swiss Army knife. I use the knife blade most. All blades are adequate... Yes, one is hard to open but I never use it anyway. Just got to remember that the size has its positive as well as negative points. Easy to carry in my pocket. Not too big or bulky. Not an overwhelming blade to use for self defense( ha ha). But usually adequate for most of your needs.
5
Excellent tool. I have the blackout version. Blades are a little stiff but not that you ca n't safely open them with a fingernail, with use they are getting smoother and easier to open. Scissors are great, package owner is nice and the tweezers are actually nice in a pinch. Bottle opener works well and is great to use to hook to a Key Chain or to run a piece of 550 cord through. The split ring for going on a key chain is weak and really useless. I 'll be buying one for my wife and daughter.

Great addition for the keyring, very handy. Only a toothpick and ints very competitive with these Swiss Army Knives

[ These things are solid!! I was expecting them to be good quality as a Leatherman tool, but my goodness, they are really nice! Feels incredibly durable, although not the most comfortable pair of scissors I 've ever used. Even though they fold up, there's no wiggling of the parts whatsoever. I 'd definitely trust these in an emergency situation or otherwise. When I 'm bored they 're fun to fold and unfold, like a fidget spinner with an actual purpose. Color me impressed!!

I watched lots of videos, and read lots of reviews. I 'm no expert by any definition in the area of multitools. Mine arrived nicely boxed, and I was pleased with the heft and feel of the tool in my hand. Edged tools came razor sharp. Easy to open and close tools. The fine, needle- nosed pincers are my favorite tool- teeth fit together perfectly. Bits are all appropriate, although I may swap out a few- easy to do with the millions of available bits in that size. Nice sheath, belt loop, attachment points. I really like the stonewash finish. No aspect disappointing. Maybe there are better/worse tools( all subjective), but you wo n't be second- guessing yourself if you buy this SOG beauty!

Great little tool, perfect price, and smaller than I expected — however, its still as functional as the full- sized PowerAccess, for example. Provides a ton of function for its size and you can carry it everywhere without even having to worry about weight. It's either on me or in my pack everywhere I go. Definitely a 'recommend' from me.

I have spent years looking for a small tool which could fit on my pocket but still have full functionality. The Powerpint is the complete package!

Since the Powerpint was released, I have kept an eye out for a sale that included the Pp and my patience paid off( plus free shipping!) I have owned Leathermans, Gerber products and off brand multi- tools, but none are as feature packed, compact and smooth opening as this one. I have been disappointed with paying full price for other tools that sit in my drawer at home, but with the built in pocket clip, this tool is one to be carried and worth buying at retail price.

I have owned the Leatherman ARC Talos for several weeks and have come to appreciate the exceptional build quality. The FREE technology comes in very handy for operating one- handed. I love the locking mechanism for the tools and the accessibility from outside of the multi tool. Does not come with a case; however, it does come with a nice pocket clip that securely holds the tool in place. Be careful when flicking the tool open with one hand: it can bite if your index finger is too close to the top of the handles.

Dakota
[ I ’ ve owned several models of Leatherman and Gerber…Wave+, Charge Plus TTI, Charge Plus, Rebar, Super Tool 300, Skeletool CX, Surge, Gerber Truss and Centerdrive you name it. None of them were able to justify not carrying a pocket knife until the ARC. The magnacut blade is a game changer in the multitool space and has replaced my pocket knife with ease. The one handed opening pliers are awesome when you have your hands full as well as the ability to access the tools from the outside, again, with one hand. Different from the Free P4, Leatherman has listened and put a proper bit changer, quality scissors and a proper file into the tool. Build quality is typical top notch from Leatherman and this is a tool that will be handed down to my kids someday. I highly recommend if you ’ re on the fence!

I purchased these so I could have a EMT style sheers. I did n't know the quality of what I was getting. My trained military coworker is always asking to borrow them because he knows: A: they are attached to my molle bag B: Its same quality or sheer( IDK) that is used for military issues on deployment. I 'm pleased with everything.

WMDTech
We are always looking for tools that make bomb technicians work safer and easier. That is exactly what the ParaShears do. When accessing a package such as a backpack, we have tried many different EMT shears, and nothing works like the ParaShears. Shears cut clean and smooth, which when working on an IED is paramount. The hook knife cuts nylon webbing, cardboard, and you name it with ease.

I bought these to go in my emergency kit for my vehicle. They are super light weight, fold up nicely and are workhorses. They cust well and fit in your hand well.

Lightweight and easy to use. Just what I needed. Easier to carry on my scrubs than the Leatherman Raptor due to lesser weight. Trauma Shear works very well. The folding tools are much appreciated. I can go from Respiratory Therapy scrubs to EMS uniform with this baby as it is designed for use in pre- hospital as well as in- facility care. The tweezers are also a welcome surprise and the glass- breaker is situated perfectly for use when deployed. This tool is worth every penny I paid for it.

The Salute Mini is somewhat of a misnomer for this knife. It is a very well built, well balanced, mid- sized lockback. It has an excellent blade profile for piercing as well as slicing. Dual, bronze pivot washers are rare at this price point. Nothing was really skimped on with superb knife except maybe the bead blast finish as opposed to satin polish. I ca n't comment on the black version other than my personal preference for silver blades. You 'd be hard pressed to find better quality and value than the Salute `` Mini ''. It's a no B. Kershaw is an awesome company. The Cryo Knife I bought is great. This is my first but not my last Kershaw knife. I have found a new best friend. If you are looking for a knife that will not fail you Kershaw has the exact knife for you. I give them a 5 Star rating!!!

I own several Kershaw Knives with the assist opening feature this one being the largest. I have never been disappointed in the design and craftsmanship of their products.

Very happy with the knife, would recomend to anyone looking for an EDC knife. On the heavier side but very well contructed. Stays sharp as a kershaw should.

This is my first Kershaw folder and I 'm very pleased. It is also my first flipper assisted opener. It opens nearly as easily as my automatics. The blade was very sharp out of the box and the frame lock works very well. The handles look and feel very well made and the pocket clip can be moved to suit any preferred style of carry. I like this knife so well that I now need it's big brother the Cryo II for my collection.

[ I like the size and weight of this knife. Awesome body material is non- slip in your hand but does not stick to your pocket liner. Solid blade is heavy without being clunky. Easy one hand open, a smooth piece all around. Highly recommend for EDC.

Love the Altair. My Lady lost my first one in the squid ink color so I bought a red one the next day. She has since found the first so now I have 2, and I 'm perfectly fine with that. The one handed operation is very convenient, and there is no lighter edc knife I 've found with this level of quality and performance.

Being a `` live music audio engineer '' for 30 years, I 've used EVERY multi- tool out there... SOG, by far gives me THE MOST FLEXIBILITY as far as number of USEFUL tools per multi- tool. THE HIGHEST QUALITY multi- tool available,( at any price), THE MOST OPTIONS for a multi- tool per applicable task, and THE MOST VALUE for cost vs what you 're getting! This little PP1001- CP fits perfectly in any pocket that I have handy, yet gives me the flexibility of 18 tools with the performance of the big boys! I love, Love, LOVE it! May I add... Ya just ca n't go wrong with SOG! They 're one of the few companies that just wo n't sacrifice quality for their bottom line! Thank you SOG for the best quality and prices vs any of your competitors! God bless and take care...

I 've had this multitool for 4 months now and it's great. The opening mechanism is so smooth, it's a joy to operate. The lock can be easily operated with one hand and all of the tools can be accessed from the outside. It even comes with a pocket clip which is nice if you do n't want to deal with wearing a sheath on a belt. I hope this model is around for a long time!

This knife is great! First time I saw it I fell in love with the profile then I found the Wolf Gray and really loved the look.( I need a blue one now). Out the box it was near shaving sharp, some light stropping put it there. Feels great in the hand and has great control. I haven ’ t done any hard use with it yet just some box cutting, yard work stuff, other small tasks. But worked great at what its been used for, I ’ m starting to sound like a bit or something but I just love this blade! Great tool at a great price point. Just need a blue option, ahem!

I needed a small pocket knife to carry with me on trail runs. I didn ’ t want anything too big or cumbersome and this product fit the bill perfectly. The knife is rugged and fairly sharp. It also comes with two integrated driver bits( Phillips and flat head) that magnetically fit into the end of the knife, which doubles as a screwdriver. The knife also comes with an integrated clip which secures nicely to clothing or equipment. I recommend this pocket knife for light duty use.

Knife is amazing. Very smooth opening, blade is very sharp and has maintained that edge throughout the first month of use. Only improvement iand these would make it the best edc ever would be to have some texture on handle it is very sleek and smooth to touch and to make it just a touch longer. Bought this for my wife and she loves it. We own several SOGs and have never been disappointed. Only ever had one issue when the SOG logo plate fell out of the handle of one of them. Their customer service was excellent and sent out a new plate that I glued in. The ONLY thing that keeps the Flash AT from getting a 5 star rating in my book is that the thumb post for opening it could be slightly bigger. It ’s a little tough to get a good purchase on with my bigger thumbs and the rather sharp point actually hurts a bit when you push on it. Otherwise great daily utility knife.

Multipurpose knives are typically made from materials like stainless steel for the blades, which provides strength and resistance to rust. Handles may be crafted from durable plastics, aluminum, or wood, offering different levels of grip and comfort.
