5 Michael
[ I took this tent on a 9 day backpacking trip in West Virginia and am thoroughly impressed with the easy of setup, space inside and performance in stormy weather. This tent is two pounds lighter than my previous which is a nice thing. I highly recommend this tent for the serious solo backpacker.

5 Eliasblood
[ I simply love it. Easy to setup, light enough trek deep into the backcountry. The awning is a really cool feature I ’ m new to. There ’s lighter options out there, even within Big Agnes, but I went with this because beyond all of its great features, size, and weight, it ’s also freestanding if you don ’ t feel like staking out for whatever reason. I ’ ll carry a few more ounces for a more robust tent any day.

5 Crayola Kid
[ I bought this tent for solo backpacking trips in large part because of other reviews& it fit the bill. I wanted a light, freestanding, 1P tent. I 've used it a few times& I could n't be happier w/ it. Quick& easy to set up. Packs fairly small. Nice features. I actually paired it w/ the bike packing footprint for this model on account of more ground coverage in the vestibule so my pack would n't sit on damp ground. I do n't personally find the tent to be very fragile, like others suggest, but it's also not as robust as other tents I own. Take care of it& it 'll take care of you. I own other Big Agnes gear& I 'm never let down. They also have a great repair team( had to send my Big House 4 tent in for repairs after the dogs busted out one night chasing chupacabras)

5 Kilroy
[ I have had my eye on the tent for a few years now. While it is a bit more expensive than what I have spent on tents in the past, I can honestly say that I am very happy that I decided to go ahead and get it. The lower weight and smaller pack size of the Copper Spur UL1 made a big difference in my base weight and pack volume requirements. I am trying to get down to a smaller pack size for trips more than 3 days and the tent size was one of biggest issues. I know this tent is marketed as `` HV ''( high volume), but I was honestly surprised how much roomer it feels compared to my previous 1P tent. I am 6 '' 3 '' and there is plenty of head room for me to sit up without worrying about touching the top with my head. I really like the quality of the stakes that come with the tent. This is one of the first tents that I did not immediately replace the default stakes with something better. I have n't had a chance to really, truly use the `` porch '' that you can create with your trekking poles, but I can see how that will be very useful for cooking in a light rain. It did rain slightly on the second night of my first trip out with the new tent and I had no issues, as you would expect in that scenario. I did break one segment on the pole the very first time I used the tent. It was 100% user error. I called and emailed Big Agnes, provided the required info, and they gave me the option to send it in for repair( no charge for the repair service) or to just have the part shipped to me, along with a video that explains how to perform the repair, which was quite easy. I did have to pay shipping, but that was not much.

5 Dogonhunt
[ Just home from the trip I bought this for, a week in the Colorado mountains assisting a couple friends hunt. I could not be more pleased, easy to set and take down( we moved), and handled to cold, the wet, and the warm. It is tight however, so beware of that- I was and caused no issues for me. I used the “ bikepacker ” footprint which extents out into the vestibule, glad I did that, gear was kept dry and clean in that area.

[ Purchased this tent for a hike on the NaPali coast! Was easy to set up and highly recommend! Plenty of room, comfortable and nice quality. Glad I purchased it.

5 Heather L
[ I bought this to replace my 14 year old kelty for backpacking with my dog. I was surprised by the strength of the material considering it feels very thin and fragile in your hand. I am happy to report after two trips with a two year old lab with uncut nails, this tent has held up phenomenally with out any tears or punctures. It is incredibly lightweight and packs well. The overall construction of the tent( zippers, buckles, poles, ect.) is very well made and worth the price. Its also one of the more user friendly small tents, as it is equipped with pockets galore.

5 Copper92
[ I bought this tent to take on a 5 night back country trip to Colorado. Could not have been happier with the performance. Easy set up and tear down. Very stable in blustery conditions. Plenty of time for me and my gear with the dual vestibules.

5 UTHiker
[ Very happy to have bought this tent. I am using it as a 1 person tent for backpacking and am very happy with the weight and size. I do n't think this would be a good tent for 2 people due to the tapered end, but it could be done if not using wide sleeping pads. Would recommend

5 Jvrichie03
[ I bought this tent and when I received it and put it together to test it, the tent pole cracked wide open. It was really strange considering I trust big Agnes and have other products including another tent. Returning it was super easy and smooth and the support center replaced it no questions asked and after opening this one it was great. Thanks team!

5 ODIN
[ This was an upgrade from our old three person. It is nearly as small and light as my Fly Creek 2 but with much more room obviously and significantly more head space. The two of us sleep easily in here with our German shepherd. I love it because it's packability and weight allow me to carry it myself as a one person if I want to. Definitely not bombproof, but rarely ultralight stuff is n't, just needs to be babied and it will last a thru- hike.

5 cdcote
[ I bought this to replace my two other 3- person tents( one also another Big Agnes) to reduce my weight while backpacking. It's hard to credit just how much lighter it is, but it really was, and I know my back( and also my hips, and my knees, and my feet...) noticed. It really made my warm- up backpacking adventure of 2021 so much more easier.

4 GregB
[ This tent is very light and I ca n't wait to take it backpacking. Easy to set up and very user friendly. It does seem a bit on the small size for a 3- person.

[ I strongly recommend this purchase for any serious camper or hiker on an expedition- can not say enough good things about it. Met every expectation, and the cost underestimate the quality. Buy this tent, if you are serious camper…

5 Skaiser
[ My brother and I are hiking the John Muir Trail. While it is a little bit bulky, it is lightweight, and the open fly on both sides is a HUGE feature. I am very happy with this tent.

5 Pancake
[ Just bought this last month for our upcoming Europe trip. Bike touring with a new lighter and solid built tent! Glad we chose this. Been a BA fan for years.

5 Dog33
[ I ’ ve used this many nights and really like it a lot. It ’s light, packs down, and has held up well to both wind and rain. Minimal condensation compared to the tent it ’s replacing. I would definitely buy again.

5 Mudbutt7
[ I purchased this tent 2 months ago for my camping trip in Utah. It is ultra lightweight and easy to assemble. I was in between buying a Nemo Dragonfly and a Big Agnes and I am very glad that I did! It is very spacious and the material is quality. Very comfortable for two hikers and we were able to have all our equipments inside the tent. I look forward to bringing this tent in future backpacking trip to Wyoming. Thanks Big Agnes!

5 WildmanMinnesota
[ My first Big Agnes tent and I 'm pleased with it. I took it out for a 7 mile hike two night stay and two different camp sites last weekend and was happy with it, the apprecated the pound in weight I would have gained if I went with another brand I was considering. I use it for just myself 5' 10 '' and it fits me just fine with a little room at top or bottom as well as room for pack if desired. I did stand my pack up in the vestibule second night and that fit fine with enough room to get out. I use Big Agnes ultra core sleeping pad and that fits fine. Appreciate the two stuff pockets on sides and smaller pocket on top. Zipper door operated well. I like all the different stake out points and options. I ended up using one sticks on each side to raise the upper guy lines on the fly about 2ft. This really helped with air flow. I read in a review that you may need additional stakes for this tent, I bought 6 additional and found that I needed to use 5 of them to stake every guy out. I will use this tent for many many years to come.

5 anonymous
[ This is my second Fly Creek UL2 tent. Great value for the price when discount used. Minor improvements over the old version. Same great quality. Highly recommend using a footprint to protect floor from damage. First tent used over 7 years before starting to show signs of wear.

5 Nydie
[ I like this tent very much. In addition to its light weight, it also has a great sense of space. The camp nails and camp ropes are very exquisite. I look forward to taking this account on my next trip

5 aligator
[ Great for summer backpacking, with open netting to allow for air flow and light weight. Plenty of space inside for one person, a but tight for 2 and any inside gear. Easy to put up.

5 Noah
[ Packs down small. Weight is great. Setup is relatively straight forward. Can not comment on long- term durability, but I have high hopes. Buy the corresponding footprint though!

High Tech and well crafted peice of essential outdoor gear! I have taken this tent to the highest and lowest points of Africa and it has never let me down. i love how it leaves an almost non- existent footprint and it very easy to pack.

5 Addyson
Nice, compact, lightweight single person tent. I 'm only 5' 4 so I have space for my pack at my feet which is a great option.

5 Randall
My wife just got back from Havasupi and love the ease of use with the Stormbreak 1. It was very nice to set up, 2 poles, and clip on tent. Easy peasy.

5 James
Purchased to use for motorcycle adventure riding. 1, 000 miles in 5 days off- road in Colorado. The light weight and small packed size was a major advantage! I 'm 6' 3 '', 235lbs and was comfortable inside. Fast set up and take down is super convenient.

[ The reason I went with the big Agnes is because I had a bad experience with another company… You can tell the quality is so much better than previous tents I had

4 ColoOutdoors
[ Was looking for a car camping tent, larger and more comfortable than the backpacking tent I 've had for ages. The DogHouse would sleep 2 very comfortably, you could sleep 4 if you do n't mind being a sardine. Steep sided walls gives the tent a very spacious feel. I could erect and take down the tent solo, but did struggle a bit the first time I pitched the tent to insert the tent pole into the final grommet. Also took me a while to figure out how to get the horizontal top pole out of the snap when breaking the tent down. Overall, the tent erected pretty quickly and easily in subsequent uses after the fabric stretched out a bit. Good ventilation, beefy stakes, seems to be a strong, stable tent, certainly fine for summer camping, probably 3 season. Worst conditions I 've been in are moderate wind and rain overnight, and the tent shed water no problem. I 'm assuming the fabric has a DWR coating, and it's unclear how long the waterproofing would last. I did not buy the ridiculously expensive footprint, just used a tarp close to the correct size and that worked fine. Tent material did catch in the zipper when zipping open or close the door. I wonder if anyone has solved this though.

[ This tent is easy to set up( did n't even need the directions) and super roomy. There is plenty of room to stand up, a benefit in buggy or rainy environments. In its first week of use, it survived a big wind storm, hail, and a lightning storm. It weathered all three spectacularly- as did the people inside! We stayed dry and protected with no problem. We did purchase some beefier stakes to hold it down. The door zip snags a bit, but once you realize that, it is easy to adapt to. Highly recommend.

[ Love it! Super light, comfortable tent with the bonus of built in LED lighting. Holds up the elements and my dog. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a backpacking tent.

5 Gorge Hiker
[ Got it last month and already spent a night in the snow with it. Myself, wife and 100 pound doggo. Plenty of interior room and having the built in lights is a delightful experience for multiple people to have the area lit up w/o each running our headlamps. Only problem I could foresee is if there was a lot of snowfall, the top is rather flat and it might build up and become a problem. The large number of internal storage pockets delighted my wife and myself.

5 Goldngun
[ The craftsmanship and features of this tent are incredible! Add the super light weight of the tent and this is a huge winner! Owned a Mountain Hardware Skyview 2 tent for the past 22 years& loved it, but the advances in technology have made this Copper Spur3 person mtnGLO tent a MUST HAVE for outdoor lovers everywhere. I absolutely love it and the flexibility it provides with the rainfly& footprint option for superlight overnights. The LED lighting is a huge bonus and a brilliant option. The perfect lighting for settling in with hi/lo/off settings. I ca n't recommend this tent highly enough. JUST BUY IT!!

5 speaks
[ This tent may be a little heavy for solo back packing and bigger than you need for that anyway. Its absolutely perfect for canoe camping, camping closer to my truck, or backpacking with my dog or my wife along. I was skeptical about the mountain glow portion but its awesome

5 Rileysreview
[ I finally decided to invest in a new 3P tent for thru hikes after having a reliable 5lb Vango tent house me for the past ten years. Now, I haven ’ t trail tested it yet, but I ’ ve set them up in the yard a couple times now to compare, and wow! The first thing that stands out is how roomy this tent is. I ’ ve always had the mentality that if you want to hike with a friend you definitely need a 3P because no way are two grown men fitting in a 2P tent. In the same way, you ’ d be lucky to fit two men and a baby in a 3P tent. Well. I actually think I could fit three grown men in here! A little squeezy still but possible. The tent is well designed so you can sit upright virtually anywhere, the vestibules are big enough to fit all your gear, the lighting system provides a good ambient glow to get settled at night without blinding you. I can ’ t wait to take this on the trail! Set up and pack down were simple- my only criticism is I ’ d love to see a few more stakes included. If you want to set up the ‘ porch ’ area with your walking poles, there just aren ’ t enough stakes. Minor details, and I get it. Helps achieve that claimed weight.

[ I 've only been able to take it out a couple times, but the Copper Spur has been worth the money. I got the mtnGLO on a whim, but it really is nice to have a non- harsh light source built in. Easily worth the extra bucks.

5 RickTee
[ Ok, let me start out saying I have a few tents( well, WAAAY too many tents). All of them were carefully selected, and are pretty great, but each has a fault or two. Too heavy, too much condensation, only one door, small vestibule for my pack.... Anyways, I did n't need a new tent, and it is not exactly a cheap purchase, but I must say, I am completely satisfied, and blown away. It is lightweight, but seems to be durable after 10 days in the backcountry. Very light, without having to go to a non- freestanding tent( seriously, how many of us really want to spend 10 minutes properly staking out and adjusting a non- freestanding tent after a 15- 20 mile day). Great to have two entries and vestibules so we do n't have to climb over each other to get out or get to our packs. The awnings are great, and totally an unexpectedly useful bonus. Even without it, it would be my favorite tent. My two cents- go for the mtnGLO. I am usually very aware of my pack weight, doing hikes in the High Sierras that start at 9, 000 feet, but it is so cool to have built in( and not overly bright) lights, and leave the rainfly folded back halfway to see the stars. Highly recommended, and if you buy a great tent to start with, you will save a bunch of money not buying more tents looking to resolve some shortcoming in a compromised tent...

5 Bushlover
[ Lots of great features, well designed, lightweight and roomy! Definitely a great all around backpacking tent. Can ’ t wait to hit the trail!!!

5 Trav
[ Just recently used this tent on a back packing trip. Amazed at its quality, durability, and weight. Sporadic rain/wind throughout the days and it handled it very well. Go for the MTNglo lights, worth every extra penny. My friends were jealous.

5 Super Cub
[ Bought the Mad House Six to use on a 10- day trip to Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Did n't take the footprint to save weight. Experienced six thunderstorms while camping. Not a drop of rain made it into the tent. Winds were sustained at 40 mph with stronger gusts for two straight hours during the worst storm. Expensive, but worth it!

5 Jakob
[ This tent is a little bigger than what we needed as a family( 3people+ 1dog) for weekend camping trips, but that's what we wanted. This is not a cabin tent so I do n't need to worry about high winds causing too much stress on the frame and tent seams. I love that I do n't have to stoop whenever I 'm inside the main part of the tent. The two vestibules created when the rain fly is on the tent are great for leaving muddy shoes outside but still under cover. There were plenty of pockets on the inside of the tent for our stuff and one great thing about them was that the pockets kept your stuff away from the walls... no morning dew on your stuff!!! Setup was simple; follow the directions on the tag of the tent bag. I tried to just logic my way through it the first time and one of my poles got a little bent... not bad, but I felt like an idiot. Followed the directions the text time and it went up easy. Also, 1 person can set this tent up, 2 people is better. 1 person can take this tent down without any difficulty. The rain fly has so many Velcro straps on the underside to wrap around the poles to help keep it in place. I used maybe 2 at each vestibule end and staked out the vestibules. The rest of the fly I left in place using only the clips to the main tent. We were n't expecting much wind so I did n't bother with the rest or the guy lines and the tent did just fine. Also, the seams are taped inside using some kind of flexible water repellant tape/adhesive... awesome!!! I ca n't say how many times I 've camped in the past and the seams are the first place where condensation forms and starts dripping... that's annoying. Taped seams should solve, or at the very least help with that problem. I would definitely recommend this tent.

Lots of room for two 6 foot plus guys. easy to set up.

5 Ken V.
Super light, but spacious. Clearly, a well designed tent that has stood up to bad storms with no issues thus far.

5 Aidan
I see alot of bad reviews for this tent, but I 've honestly never had any problems with it. First issue I hear alot about is that it leaks. I 've never had any leaks with this tent. I remember I ended sleeping in probably an inch of water one night, and not a single drop made it into the tent! Another issue that I heard of was that the poles were attached together. I can see why someone would find it annoying l, but I like it like that. I like the way they 're attached because I find it easier to set it up by myself. Overall, a pretty solid Tent that I would recommend!

My wife and I have owned this tent for six years now and are completely satisfied! 2 summers ago we had 3 days of heavy constant rain while on a camping trip and did not get wet at all! My family and i are all avid canoe trippers and for the past 6 years this tent has not let me down!

[ We got this to get back into backpacking with a 6 and 2 yr old and it fit all of us perfectly with a nice packed size and weight to split between mom and me. North Face makes the best gear and this tent is another great add. Perfect size and height for comfy camping, especially in bad weather.

The tent itself is great. The issue that we have is finding the footprint. There are none available. We had to use an old tarp. It works but I would like to have the pieces that are supposed to work together.

[ I bought this for bikepacking, but will use this for all my backpacking trips too. Tent is super lightweight, and very small packed size. Easily fit between the hoods/shifters on my gravel bike. Nice storage, with a full shelf along the foot end of the tent. Lots of pockets. Footprint provides a floor outside under the vestibules. Ca n't wait to go outside with it again!

5 TP1234
[ We 've been excited about using the UL3 for our trips as it has a bit more room than the UL2. The setup is a breeze, the double doors are also super convenient and the UL3 has great storage options inside for both of us. The ultralight tent material is very thin, so I hope it remains durable through more uses. But we really love the tent setup and bike- specific features, such as the daisy chains on the stuff sack for mounting the tent anywhere.

[ First: Th tent is n't nearly as dark- colored as the picture indicates- it's light grey and white. Very easy to set up and comfortable inside. Vestibule is roomy. The shorter pole segments make a big, positive difference when packing a bike! The bag is great if you want the Molle straps, otherwise I do n't see the advantage( and it does n't fit the best with my handlebar bag system.

[ Lightweight, sturdy, easy to put up…this is a great little one person tent. My only complaint is that Big Agnes should include the footprint because the test is quite delicate and requires one.

[ I bought this tent predominantly for backpacking or car camping. There is a chance I could bike pack, but that was not part of the decision to get this tent. I chose this slightly heavier tent over the regular backpacking tent because I wanted the decreased packed length. This allows me to put it in my backpack horizontally, and I keep the entire tent+ poles together. I chose a one person to keep the weight and volume down. I also appreciated having the loop straps on the top of the fly. During the BWCA trip last week, I frequently had wet socks, wet pant legs, and what other things to dry out. It was also windy during the trip. Once, I did put clothing in a pine tree. My friend later told me he picked up my stuff from the ground. After that, I always put my wet stuff under the loops on the tent. I love it! I had been concerned about the darker color of this tent compared to the backpacking tent. However, the color in the pictures is misleading. When I 'm inside the tent, I ca n't call it cheerful on the daytime but it's not dark and dreary. I do n't think it will soak up heat of the sun anymore than any other non- white tent will. I do like that it blends in better with the environment. I did purchase the footprint that also extends into the vestibule space. I 've previously had a tent with this feature and found it helpful. However, my friend has a BA tent with a traditional vestibule and he put a piece of plastic in front of his tent door. In the BWCA, the areas that we pitched our tents were often dirt. I found I had a lot of dirt on the footprint which kept me from sitting on it, etc. Meanwhile, my friend just simply lifted up his plastic and shook it out. We did get rain, so it's possible my gear under the vestibule stayed dryer. That being said, I do question if I 'm in this similar situation if I could just fold the vestibule back on itself and under the tent. And a grassy or less dusty situation, the footprint extending into the vestibule would be great. Otherwise, this review will likely apply to both the backpacking and bikepacking versions of this tent. My 8- year- old LLB 1- person tent I labeled my coffin tent. I do not feel the same way about this BA 1- person tent!!! This tent is a little wider, and I definitely have more headroom. It has a vent above which was a key deciding factor for my purchasing this tent. I hate tent condensation in the morning! I have a normal width sleeping pad And I can straddle it on hands and knees to adjust it and blow it up a little bit more. I can kneel in the tent and bend over in a squat to further make adjustments. I am 5 ft 7 in. ALL of the wonderful storage pockets kept so much off of the floor of the tent that it gave my body more space to move around. This is wonderful no matter what size version of this tent you get. I had a light jacket, a hat, and a shirt in the big pocket on the roof. The zippers on the tent open and close beautifully. Nothing got stuck. With the zipper on the fly I was a bit more careful, but all I did was extend a finger first in the direction I was traveling and that kept any material from getting caught. I am still figuring out all of the toggles, especially on the right side( facing tent) of the fly. It is very nice to open the doors wide, even if I do n't use the awning feature. THE VESTIBULE is Wonderful!! The vestibule in my old coffin tent would n't fit my backpack. With this BA 1- person tent, My 65- L ULA Catalyst backpack, a bait holder bag, shoes, my pfd, and a sm dry bag fit under the vestibule AND I still had room to enter and exit the tent. The vestibule rocks!!! The only thing that I do n't like about the vestibule is that there is n't a second smaller one. I do n't know if any 1- person tent has two vestibules. However, while this does allow one to set up the tent in smaller spaces, you are very restricted which way your vestibule faces. For ex, you may have to choose between setting up the tent so the foot faces into prevailing winds for safety... or setting up so you can open the vestibule doors and have a beautiful view of the mountains or a lake versus woods and weeds two to three feet from your vestibule if you set up for wind management. Setting up the tent was easy. The first two times I put the ends of the crossbars in the fly, it was effortful and I was concerned that I would do damage to the fly. Afterward, the material loosened up and it became easier. Clipping the fly to the footprint when I 'm also using the tent body is just a little awkward because cord material gets in the way of the clips. Guying out is much easier, quicker with the new adjustment pieces. There are two pieces of velcro to attach to the tent poles at the head of the tent. In the stake bag, there are multiple Velcro pieces and I 've not been able to find out what those are for. I bought two MSR groundhog stakes for two reasons: BA should have provided 1 more stake and I wanted two longer stakes to better anchor the tent in higher wind. During our BWCA trip, we did get a little rain but we got high winds during that time frame. Under these circumstances and with my roof vent open, I did n't get rain inside the tent. Also, with what both my friend and I felt were straight line winds, no rain got in the tent from under the tent fly. That being said, since the fly edges tend to sit up a bit higher from the ground to allow more ventilation, there was a lot of dirt and wood matter splash up against the wall of the tent. Luckily, the solid part obtained body goes high enough that nothing got inside. The inner tent remained dry. Packing down the tent and putting it and the poles in the available bags is okay. The bags are just wide enough if you pack things well. The stakes and their bag came packed inside with the tent and fly. I am a little concerned about the stakes being pushed in the bag with all of this other delicate material. My friend got upset with me because he felt I was taking too long to tear down the tent. I kept the fly on the tent body and attended to fold it all up together keeping the mesh on the inside, then stuff it in the bag. My friend felt I should just stuff each one in separately. I 'm not sure what's best, I just want to protect this more delicate material. That being said, my biggest concern for the material was when I was packing away the tent. Having the footprint down certainly protected the floor of my tent from any damage. Pros: mostly everything! Roof vent, large, practical vestibule, material loops on exterior fly, large tent body entryway, VG zippers, vestibule doors open wide, lots of interior pocket storage, a 1- person without being too confined, usually adjustable guylines, quick setup, appears to handle high wind well, why is not too dark, reflective elements on the tent keep one from tripping, fly zipper also zips from the top down, well- made. Cons: I guess the tent/tent pole bags could be lighter and the bags just the tiniest bit larger dia. The daisy chain loops are very small and not terribly practical. BA should include the missing stake. I would like for BA to also sell the bikepacking and backpacking poles separately. I could see someone wanting to own both depending on what situation they would be using the tent. I would also like BA to advertise that the traditional footprint and the extended footprint will fit both bikepacking and backpacking tents. Otherwise, the rest of my review will apply

[ The quality and ease of this tent is amazing. The perfect pitch every time. If you 're looking to get into ultralight or switching from rocking a hammock-> this is the way to go. Tested hard on a thru hike with two of the 8 days a complete soak out, the inside of the tent stayed absolutely dry. Even when you think you picked the perfect spot, 1& 1/2 ” of rain changes things. Using the fly and BA ’s footprint, you can quickly set that up to gather yourself saving all the crap in your pack and keeping the inside tent dry to set up. Never be wet and try to sleep@ 40 degrees. The hang dry time is fantastic and packs down easy every time with the provided sacks that hold up great in your pack or very securely on your bike. There ’s plenty of room& storage inside and out to divide your clean( dry clothes/ electronics/ etc) stuff& your dirty( just funky) stuff. In a pinch you could fit 2 people but it ’s perfect for you, all your gear, and maybe a dog. Anyone that ’s been out 5+ days of hitting hard backcountry knows it doesn ’ t smell peachy- no need to x2. I can ’ t say enough about the easy of setting up and breaking down. It almost want to put itself together, the rods with act like a Transformer once you get them going and the buckles/tie downs leave you with a nice strong tent. Got a bunch of dirt and leaves inside, no worries- just grab the frame attached to the tent, leave a vestibule open and lightly shake that out. Go easy with the zippers, stay away from open flames, watch for sharpe rocks/ thorns, clean with recommended soap, and this tent should be a winner for many years of adventure!

[ I was stuck between the Fly Creek and the Copper Spur for bike camping and hiking uses. I went with the Copper Spur because it's just a little bigger. I 'm very happy with the tent so far, I might have sixteen nights in it to date. The ventilation is well done, the extremely light materials are strong and breathable. It fits between the drops on my bikes. The bags it comes in are super nice too. I stick the poles under my half frame bag, 20 '' top tube length of the frame, and 12 '' pole segments fit just right.

4 Mike
[ Love the tent. Light and fits wife and I. The floor is a little thin, use a tarp. Hopefully it holds up. Awesome tent otherwise, 5 stars. Worked great for our first trip out. Easy set up. Nice to have entry on both sides.

5 Medic117
I love the design. I have the Elixir 1 and use that when I bikepack Very spacious for a 3 person backpacking tent. I 'm pretty sure the people who are commenting about the lack of waterproof may be referring to the morning dew/ condensation of moisture that builds up on the inside of the tent in the early morning. One the best tent companies out here.

5 Gina C.
Very spacious for a 3 person backpacking tent. Nice cruved pole design that keeps the tent low to the ground in the wind.

[ I bought this tent a few months ago, in preparation for a multi- day trip to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. It is super easy to set up; I specifically like the colorcoding of matching orange poles to orange tent corners and silvery poles to white tent corners. I slept two nights on Third Beach and two nights on the Enchanted Valley trail. I love love love the front door, which means I can crawl in while keeping my feet outside the tent easier, thus dragging less dirt in. The material is thin, but it has robustness to it, and it kept all sorts of tiny bugs out. I like the ventilation options. I did get overly warm in the middle of the day if I was inside with everything zippered up, which means it 'd hold heat well in cooler temperatures. Did n't happen to have any internal moisture problems during my trip and it even rained on the last day. It was very nice being able to reverse fast- fly the tent in the rain. I was able to take down the inner portion while staying under the fly and on the ground tarp. Just a matter of disassembling it while inside and then popping the tent poles out of their holders, re- putting them into the tarp's holders, and doing that for all four corners. All of the pockets were great. I did take my big orange safety whistle and its necklace cord, and put the cord through a loop on the main overhead pocket in such a way as to fasten the pocket up a bit higher. It does hang a bit low once it's filled with stuff. Overall, this is a mansion as a one person tent with plenty of space to sit up and move around. I 'd have been fine also making this an actual two person tent with my partner, especially since with the multiple entries there's plenty of space to get in and out and store stuff. Overall, I 'm really glad I went with my gut and splurged on this tent. It's not the lightest out there, but I felt very safe in it since it was a standalone, rather than something that required needing stakes, and it did n't feel super flimsy.

5 Shih
[ The defining feature of this tent is that 3rd door and it is awesome! It's like a giant picture window. You spend all that effort hiking to some beautiful place, why not have a tent that allows you to continue to enjoy the view from inside the tent. It also does wonders for ventilation. The volume is really nice. The floor size is pretty standard 2- person. The gear loft over the foot area is pretty roomy. I kept a lot of seldom used stuff there while camping over the weekend. Off the floor and out of the way.

5 michelle renee
[ I did a lot of research trying to find a new tent. I was drawn to this one because of the 3- door feature, it being a somewhat lightweight backpacking tent, the awning setup for shade during my morning coffee, and the many many pockets and thoughtful design. So far I have used this tent once on a backpacking trip in Utah. It did snow one evening during the trip about 2- 3 inches and the tent held up just fine and I was completely dry inside. The tent is very intuitive to set up. I am looking forward to using this again.

[ This is the first I haven ’ t bought a cheap tent. So worth the money it ’s like going from a static line parachute to a freefall. Why didn ’ t I do this earlier, the cascades waiting for me. I can ’ t believe how light and sturdy it is.

[ We bought this tent for backpacking/camping purposes and it lives up to the expectations. We wanted to find a tent big enough to fit our packs between our two lite cots we use while camping and this tent is the perfect size with room to spare! The 3 doors are also a plus for us so that we can enter and exit the tent without bothering each other! Overall great tent with awesome features! Would recommend to anyone!

[ This tent is great!! Big windows for plenty of airflow. Love the different variations of how I can set it up. The front porch on it is awesome!!! Set up first time with no instructions in under 15 min. Highly recommend!!

[ I bought this a month ago, and I ’ ve used it fir backpacking, and a shelter on beach trips. I love the roominess and 3rd door option. Great mid- range, versatile shelter. Heads up that you need to be a little careful with it as materials are lightweight.

I use this tent 6+ times a year solo backpacking, or with dog and wife. Love it! Very reliable, versatile, easy to use and works great.

5 Last M.
I bought the Carbon Reflex 2 to start my serial section hike of the AT. It has been fantastic. It is light weight for a 2 wall tent. I have been out 22 nights last year and 10 night this year. I have been in 9 degree cold with wind and rain, and 85 degree high humidity. I have never had any condensation in the tent. Even though I hike solo I chose the 2. I like to have all my gear in the tent with me. I feel that the little extra weight is worth it. Setting up is quick and easy. I have even learned how to in the rain set up the rain fly first and then the tent without getting any water in the tent. Last year on a cold rainy morning I was in such a hurry to get packed up, I lost the short tent pole. I stayed in shelters the next two nights not missing the pole. The third night setting up I realized what I had done. I was able to cut and use a small branch as a sorry replacement. I phoned customer service, and they shipped me a new pole in just a few days. Thanks MSR! This tent is light weight, durable, and it works. If you need a tent, this is it. Only negative is that it is not free standing.

5 Brittaintrail
I bought this tent about 3 years ago after eyeing it or it's aluminum counterpart. I had the hubba before. I had worked for an out fitter for about 7 years when I purchased this tent so I had put much thought into it as well as been able to see a little bit of what else was out there. We did n't carry this tent and I thought it was the same configuration as the Hubba hubba- not quite. It is not entirely free standing but that's fine it's not as bad a most other non- free standing types. The side doors are amazing and the biggest plus. No climbing over each other and amazing light weight. You ca n't get a better tent weight without going to something like say... a big agnes where they have the single front door configuration which if you are tall or not flexible is not the easiest to get into. Also the side door configuration gives you twice the vestibule space. Personally I used this as a single person tent and enjoyed my extra space. It is small enough and light enough to pass as a one man shelter. I am a hair over 6' 2 '' '' and while I might have to slouch a bit; I can sit sideways in the door and get my boots on or cook under the vestibule in a storm. It is long enough that I do n't have to worry about my feet or head picking up condensation from rubbing the end of the tent. Still big enough for two. Location Used: Florida- stormy weather Location Used: New Mexico- Philmont( guide 4 months)

[ This is a really great tent. Super easy to set up and there ’s more than enough room for my two dogs and I. The numerous pockets inside the tent are super convenient. I couldn ’ t be happier that I traded in my zpacks for this tent. It may weigh slightly more but it ’s still really light and the ease of use and great features make the extra ounces well worth it.

[ Bought this to replace an old MSR tent. I bought a Big Agnes Copper spur 1 person tent a while ago and like, it, so I thought I 'd get another Big Agnes. This new tent is even better. Super light and easy to set up. I went for the long to have extra storage space at the foot, and I do n't regret it.

[ As always, so many tents when upgrading from a small two- person tent. This tent met all the criteria in my matrix for weight, quality, and space. [ So far so good. After I seam sealed it, I set this tent up in my backyard and left it up overnight during a heavy thunderstorm with lots of wind and rain. It performed like a champ. Stayed reasonably taught and dry as a bone. I have n't used this in the field yet. Will be hiking the AT at GSNP in a few weeks. Ca n't wait to use it for real.

5 editorreilly
[ I 've been looking for a tent that was super light weight, yet big enough on the inside for a taller person and gear. Well I found it. For the weight, this thing is palatial. I sometimes splurge on backpacking trips with my 80x30 '' pad, because A. It fits and B. I 've saved so much weight with my tent, I do n't feel guilty bringing this.

5 Single Track Mind
[ My initial impressions are all very favorable. Light weight and packs small. Plenty of room for a solo tent. Not difficult to set up. I bought this tent for use on multi- day fastpacking trips and believe I have made an excellent purchase.

5 Craig
[ Finally a light packable tent for us taller people! It packs small with footprint, stakes, and pole... all of those must be purchased separately.

5 Shane
[ For the money it ’s hard to beat this tent. If it was$ 100 more I would say go ahead and get a z packs but for the 5- 8 oz difference in weight and the$ 450 price difference I think this is hands down the better option. You can find tents even cheaper than this but the problem is that they are made from nylon instead of polyester like this one is. Nylon breaks down from UV likely quickly compared to polyester and it also stretches when wet which will leave you with a sagging tent. This tent being made from polyester eliminates both of these issues. Overall I ’ m very happy with my purchase. I ’ m sure if you are reading this you either have already watched videos on this tent or plan to soon. Definitely do before you buy but I think you ’ ll soon find out that everyone who gets it really enjoys it.

I purchased the Alto TR1 after having a disastrous experience with the MSR Freelite 1. The Alto provides superior shoulder and headroom, with a well placed door. Its super easy to pitch, and the little triangular space that pops out on the otherwise rectangular floor space makes the tent feel roomier, and provides space for my dog or gear. The vestibule is large and the ventilation, overall, with the fly closed, is pretty good. I bikepacked in below freezing overnight temperatures, and there was a bit of condensation at the foot of the tent, and overhead- even with the peak vents open and the cover unzipped. However, somecondensation is always expected when there is ice on the outside of the fly. 🥶 I highly recommend this tent for anyone looking to lighten their load backpacking or bikepacking. The tubular storage pack strapped down nicely on top of my handlebar dry bag. Well done, S2S!

5 Matthew J.
I bought this tent almost 2 years ago, and am not mad about this purchase. Over the couple years I 've owned it, I 've used it 10- 15 times maybe more not sure. So far it has held up very well. I like how it has three different bags one for tent, fly, and poles. This allows for packing it separate in your pack, or between two packs. You also have the option to connect the pole bag to the fly and tent bag to make it on unit vs three. Also these bags also can serve a purpose inside you tent as gear holders and the pole bag as a lantern which is cool that they have more than one use. However the lantern is a joke as it's hard to snap on and comes off easily, so a good idea just needs some improvement. I found when I first bought my tent that it was hard to pack up as I was folding it up, and then it was extremely difficult to get into the bag, same with the fly. After a few times I started just stuffing in into the bag like a stuff sack, works way better and can have it all packed in minutes. Another thing I love is I was on an overnight backing trip by the coast, and during the night it started to rain and continued till mid morning. I was able to take down my tent and pack it up and fold up my footprint all under the fly. After my pack was pretty much ready to go, still under the fly where it was dry, I then took down my fly and poles packed that and hit the trail! I did get a 2 person mostly to use as a one person and have plenty of room, but have once used it with one of my friends which was pretty tight. So do n't highly recommend sleeping two unless you ’ re comfortable sleeping really close together. There is room for a backpack and some gear under each vestibule so completely doable. All and all I really like this tent it's versatile, practical, and light.

[ I was sold on the flexibility and roominess of this tent in a lightweight package. This is my 6th tent and by far my favorite. Set up is easy and it performs well in cold, wet, or clear skies. Looking forward to more backpacking and camping adventures in this tent!

5 Pattie
This is another SeaToSummit outstanding product! I went from camping in heavy Kodiak Canvas to a tiny Telos TR2- Two Person Freestanding Tent. This tent is incredibly light weight and suitable for air travel. It conveniently packs up into 3 small stuff sacs that are provided. Freestanding is great, especially when you 're trying to set up on a wood platform. Most of my camping is during the summertime months or in warm climates. I brought this with me down to the USVI and the screens gave me plenty of airflow. I had zero issues with moisture. Personally, I do miss the optional zip up and down windows. I think that option would afford an individual a bit more privacy and night time warmth. As of yet, I have n't personally tent camped during a heatwave.

5 FRANK B.
[ This tent replaces a well- worn SD Clip Flashlight. The Telos is about the same weight, a bit less bulk but considerably roomier on the inside both floorspace and headroom- wise. Important consideration is that the Telos is free standing whereas the CF absolutely had to be staked out. Not a big deal on a forest floor or meadow but much of our useage is streamside, sand and gravel bars. As usual, Sea to Summit's design and engineering is thoughtful and innovative, down to simple things like color coding parts and the modular stuff sack. These guys make crazy good stuff!

This tent worked perfectly. I took it on a week long canoe trip in Maine last week. Had a mix of weather conditions. Two nights dropped to freezing with a heavy frost. One night had heavy rain. The fly cinched down very nicely and nothing got wet. Tent is super light and packed nicely into one of my dry bags. Once set up it was very sturdy in the wind and rain. Im 6 ft tall and liked the wide area for head room and I didn ’ t have issues getting in and out. I would definitely recommend buying the ground tarp which actually attaches to the tent frame itself so there was no slippage and nothing hung out with the rain. I also got the gear loft which was nice for me because I always seem to loose things while sleeping. Overall I would definitely recommend.

5 Bryan
Easy set- up and breakdown, quality material, very roomy for 2 people. Invest in the footprint and the$ 20 gear loft- which should be included honestly. This tent right there with the BA Copper Spur 2.

I purchased the 3 person version for Moto camping. It is a great size for 2 large sleeping pads or 4 dudes during a rain shower.( see pic:) 2 vestibule design works really well for storing gear. I 've used it about ten nights and I 'm impressed so far.

[ Camping in the backyard is a vibe! Reading your favorite book while chilling in the tent is fun. My daughter had a fun experience! Outside of that, the Ampex tent is very durable and easy to put together. It would be great for 1 person to go on a camping experience in the woods and they would have great shelter and enough room to have a backpack inside of the tent with them. We love it!

5 dawn3180
[ As first time campers, when my partner and I first saw how compact and light the package was, we were skeptical of whether it would be large enough. However after setting it up- which was super easy- it was as roomy as you need it to be. The hardest part was putting it back into the bag as neatly as it came. However if you are impatient like my partner and prefer to just stuff it in, it still works, which is great! It is a three person tent, but is a tiny bit cramped imo, for two people however, it ’s perfect with some spare space. As a two person tent I ’ d rate it 5. As a three person, only for size I ’ m rating it 4.

5 prachigd895
[ I love it! Easy to carry, not heavy at all. It turned out to be a pretty good tent! Very easy to get set up. It ’s very well made and simply constructed which I like. Highly recommend it!

Awesome lightweight tent. When you take the poles out of the stuff sack you can really pack it down. Vents in the fly are nice. Easy setup without the interior for fly only setup. Only reason it's not a 5 star review is that the vestibule is too small for my pack to early fit and I have no room to fit the pack inside the tent.

[ I was sold on the flexibility and roominess of this tent in a lightweight package. This is my 6th tent and by far my favorite. Set up is easy and it performs well in cold, wet, or clear skies. Looking forward to more backpacking and camping adventures in this tent!

This is a very nice tent. Very lightweight, but seems very durable. It's a great size for two people( I suppose that technically three people can fit, but that seems a stretch). I really like how tall it is and the big doors and vestibules on each side is very handy. We have n't used the tent in any kind of rain yet.

Great lightweight backpacking tent. I was able to take this on a multi day 10+ miler and did n't have any issue with the weight that it added to my pack. Like most tents, 3 person more than likely means 2 person. My buddy and I both have the Ampex lightweight sleeping pad( long/wide size) and we were able to fit just two of those pads in the tent and were still comfortable. I have yet to experience any crazy rain or anything in the tent, but with the rain cover on there seems to be a solid amount of coverage. My favorite part of the tent is the base of the tent seam is actually quite high up the tent, this is great for any water that may try to get it, youd literally have to have flooding happen before anything really comes through the tent.

5 kwhited78

[ It ’s easy to use, very spacious and comfortable, the bottom lining is great and a thick sturdy mat to add your sleeping bags on. The openness or the closeness is a great option. I ’ d say it ’s a two person tent though not a three person. Two person because it leaves room for your belongings. It ’s fall right now and it does keep the wings out indefinitely. Overall great tent.

5 deanab12
[ I ’ ve seen this brand before and I already know that it ’s a great brand. Due to the weather here, I haven ’ t been able to put it up. The specs and measurements are spot on and the tent ’s material seem really good and will hold up under extreme climate.

I ’ ve only set up the tent in the backyard a couple times. Camping trip is scheduled in a few weeks. I love the vestibules and the large pockets at the head. The bath tub floor is great how it come up a few inches to protect against splashing under the rainfly. I like the additional material just above the bath tub floor before the mesh. The overall construction looks great.

The Habitude 6 tent is a fantastic piece of equipment. We initially bought the tent to fit our family of four and then quickly found out. It was going to be a family of 5 plus a dog. The tent has ample room for all people. Set up was quite easy with two people. The first night we used the tent, we had a classic Colorado thunderstorm roll through and the tent kept us dry the entire night despite the torrential rains. Highly recommend for anyone needing a solid tent with plenty of space.

5 Callum P.
This tent is incredible. I like that it ’s more heavy duty than your average tent. I have had it in big windy storms and snow and it ’s never let me down. The interior pockets are really handy. I highly recommend this tent.

5 Ryan L.
Easy to set up light weight I would recommend this tent across the board. It nice to be able to stand up as well while we only experienced a small amount of rain on our family trip it kept us dry we will give it a rest next summer. With that said good night and sleep well in your own habitat

5 Lukas P.
I love everything about this tent. I would purchase at least four more stakes for the rain fly. My only suggestion is a different color for the rain fly. The blue heats up fast and turns the tent into a sweat lodge.

5 Jacob O.
It ’s very big and very nice. The design pitches easily and it appears it will be a good addition to my kit. I have not used it yet on any trips. That will change soon as my program transitions from trout streams to smallmouth rivers and camping.

[ These gained so much popularity especially out east. Best placed when you have a good stance but sometimes can have them cam over quickly. I carry a full set of nuts with me and it ’s surprising how well these work as a nut( passive) they seem to work better a lot of the times as a nut compared to a traditional nut. Overall definitely recommend pink(. 5) first then black(. 25) and red( 1) and if you feel like you want more, then I ’ d recommend brown( 1. 5). Awesome gear

[ I bought this tent last year, but was only able to use it for the first time a few weeks ago. I was excited to give it a try and was not disappointed. Some high level thoughts: 1. I wanted a tent with a large vestibule AND that I could stand up in. I live in the PNW and we get a lot of rainy days. The amount of space was perfect for my setup. 2. The initial build is a but confusing at first, but once you figure it out is a breeze to setup. The tent uses a snap system that I have n't encountered before but that I find clever. 3. It took me more than a few minutes and few tries to figure out which is the front door when adding the tarp. BA likely could have added some big arrows or something here. 4. Yes, this is a two person tent, but I use a larger sleeping pad, so really only have space for one( ok with me since I solo mostly). 5. Definitely a car camping tent. But it is compact enough when stored to not take up too much room. 6. My only real complaint is the vestibule has about a 6 '' gap around the bottom edges. So you do n't get a real feeling of 100% privacy. I also use the separate footprint and I kept kicking dirt into the vestibule area that required me to constantly sweep out. On the other hand, did n't have any problem with bugs. 7. Love the amount of doors, including the front and side door. Bottom line: This will be my go- to tent for solo car camping, especially on wet/rainy weekends.

Bought this tent a long time ago, about fourteen years. Has held up great for that time. Ten min. set up time with two people. Hooked this tent to the back of my truck that has a cap. Worked great as a second room. I use the truck as a bedroom. Sleeve zips off for a third door option if using the tent alone. The only problem was when it rained one time and a pool formed between the cap and the tent on the sleeve. If it was on the right car maybe this would n't happen. The other thing that should be done to make set up easier is to mark the center of each tent pole. This is to mark the apex of the tent to tie the roof ties to. You will see what I mean when you set up. Would I buy this tent again? Yes. And I have never put any kind of waterproofer or seam sealer on and never had a leak.

5 Travis
I used the tent for the first time this past weekend and thought it was great!! My wife even enjoyed camping and I was n't sure that was possible. I heard from reviews that people said that it was hard to set up, but me and my friend set it up for the first time in the dark and only took us 10 minutes, very simple. They even have a video that shows you how to set it up, I would advise watching it first if you are unsure. Others said that it wouldnt fit back in the bag that it comes with, but again, I had no problem with it at all. The only cons were the tent pegs that came with it. They had no point at the end and bent everytime you hammered them in. I went to REI and bought some titanium tent pegs and problem was solved. The only other con was that when using the zippers, they sometimes catch the overflap fabric. Not sure how to fix it yet, but not a big concern. The tent is big and very roomy. I 'm 6' 5 '' and could walk around the tent with no problem. I have a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and the fit was perfect. Great tent, cant wait to use it again!

4 Caseyt123
Love the idea of attaching this tent to my SUV. My wife and I have spent many a nights stacking stuff form the back into the front seats to make room for us in the back. This tent arrived and we headed out to go camping, first stop Holter Lake Montana, fee for camping sights vehicles on pavement tents on grass, you can imagine that we could not drive stakes into the ground when half would have to go through pavement. Headed out of Holter to camp at the Bridge where the access road to Holter meets up with the river at wolf creek canyon. Pitched the tent, pole, stakes everything and lit the barbeque and settle down for the night. Then the wind came and tent blew away. Lesson learned point the vehicle into the wind if known or possible( keep in mind, Eastern Montana is some of the windiest area in the United States. Packed up and headed home in the middle of the night. Two days later headed out to Yogo Creek Montana, found a remote site and set up camp, some wind but it was steady and we pointed vehicle into the wind. Everything else went off without a hitch, beautiful clear creek, camp fire and tent did fine in the 10 to 12 mph wind gust. One small problem, the straps that attach to the tent and come over the top of the vehicle and attach under the hood. When the wind blows is raddles those straps and makes a noise like a semi using air brakes. I will be going to the dollar store and buying some cheap pool noodles, slicing them half way and attaching them over those straps to stop this in the future. Over all glad I bought the tent, roomy and pretty easy to set up and break down.

Its well tough of perfect fit this new model has better door configuration then the previous and also seems bigger. i just came back from 9 days in BC and the rainfly was put to the test rain- dust- wind and humidity no problem. we put a carpet in the extension to enjoy the extra place and used it as storage area when we were out on the trails to keep our chairs and wood dry. Could not ask for more makes me wan na go camping all the time

[ I have a 2018 Copper Spur HV UL 3 and missed the fine print- this fly only works with the newer( 2020) version of the Copper Spur HV UL 3. When I draped it over my tent, I thought- it's the right size, why would n't it work? Here's why: the clips on it do not fit the older Copper Spur tents. Also, the Hotel rainfly accessory is not available anymore for previous Copper Spur tents. This weekend I will look into other ways to secure the fly. Despite the incompatibility with older Copper Spur tents, the fly matches the high quality of the Copper Spur tent( but not the color, its much darker, almost red compared to pre- 2020 Copper Spur tents). I hope I can figure out a workaround for using this fly: the vestibule is huge!
