Great bar. The plate holders on each end of the bar are solid, instead of the two- piece screw- together type on cheaper bars. And the plate holders mount to the bar with good bearings that move smoothly during cleans. The bar weighs 45lbs with collars, but collars did not come with this bar. I 've only had the bar for a few weeks, and the other two Olympic bars I 've had I did not buy new. But so far I am happy with this bar and have no regrets. Oh, the bar did not arrive with end- caps on it to cover the assembly nuts, but those caps always seem to pop out during workouts anyway, so I did n't mind.

Two issues- one, as another reviewer commented, the bar comes with what I assume is an anti- rust coating that's a little messy to remove. It would be nice if some instructions came for that. There is a perfect amount of knurling( not to passive and not to aggressive). The chrome finish and black coating also feely extremely well made. Being rated for 1000lbs is overkill for me and probably most people. Do n't waste your money on the versions, very happy with this.

Been using for about 3 months, very comfortable and helps with my squats. I 'm able to do a little more weight and bang out more reps with this vs the straight bar. Definitely helps you focus on the core and legs and takes the burden off the upper back and shoulders. Highly recommend.
