[ I 've been someone who's fairly efficient at rodeoing clips, but you ca n't do that unless it's perma- drawed or someone has already run up the route. This was a great investment even on it's very first trip. Being able to set a draw, put a rope on it, and even un- clip the draw from the wall makes it easier to convince people to push themselves on routes. Will definitely be taking this on all future trips!

[ We bought this because we were looking to step up our climbing game but wanted to do so in a safe manner. It's been great for that and has given us the opportunity to climb a grade above our current level. It's also great on climbs that are run out with the first bolt having the possibility to fall unprotected. The Squid is also super easy to use and to get the hang of( Pun intended). If you 're transitioning from top rope to to lead climbing, this is a useful tool. If you want to send a route that has a crux early on, this is a useful tool. If you decide you ca n't finish said route and need to retrieve a quick draw out of reach, this is a useful tool. Simply attach it to any extension rod and suddenly you have a go go gadget arm. Takes some technique, but you got this!

I used this for clipping my first and sometimes second bolt when they in sketchy positions. It makes the start of sports climbs exponentially safer. A single trip to the hospital will ruin your day, ruin your trip, and may ruin your season. I would have spent double or even triple the price for the added safety.

[ The only stick- clip I 've found that can also take the draws down. That's a big deal for me since sometimes me or my buddies want to try extra hard routes. We 've dealt with doing some sketchy things trying to get the bolts down and down climbing and it's not worth it. The downfalls I can find of the device is that the rotating arm could break off potentially and also the silicon used to grip the carabiner sometimes is n't too good at gripping. But a little fiddling is better than a nasty fall any day!

I am very impressed with this magnetic release clip. The attachment ring on one end is very strong and about. 75 inches across to accommodate various attachment styles. The clip attached to the other half of the magnet is very sturdy and made of metal. The magnets are very strong and require a substantial pull pressure in order to release them so that accidental separation is unlikely.

There are not a lot of companies outside of the manufacturer that carry Yakima base clips and you guys gave seemingly every size for a wide variety of vehicles. I have climbed using them 10 times already and can say that they are some of my favorite draws I have ever used. They are lightweight and much smaller than the typical draw but are still large enough that my fingers dont get caught when clipping. [ Absolutely love these quickdraws. They ’ re extremely lightweight and easier to clip than any other quickdraw I ’ ve used. The monofil perfect alternative to a wire gate, and lighter than a solid gate. Unlike most wiregate quickdraws, the rope can ’ t get caught on the end of the carabiner. I personally bought the 17cm L/L option.
