My first paddle was the Onyx Z5, a very popular entry level paddle that has a mostly square shape. I am only 5' 7 '' tall and I found that I was just missing balls over my head or to the side by about an inch. This elongated paddle gives me the extra reach and I now get balls that I would not get with a shorter paddle. It fells solid and has good power and control.

OK, so I 'm a pickleball fanatic... a cross- over after 65 years of playing tennis. I know what it takes to deliver power, spin, and touch from the backcourt, and from the net. I found it all with the Evoke Premier paddle. I purchased the 'heavy' model, which gives my shots that extra pop I want. The surface is nicely textured, and delivers all the spin I can muster. If I could find any room for improvement in the Evoke Premier, it would be the material used for the handle, which can get quite slippery under humid conditions. Some overwrap took care of that. Although this frame has been around for awhile, I highly recommend it.

The Franklin Dynasty12 FeatherWeight is my lightest and most favorite paddle to date. As an Advanced Intermediate Women in early 60s I love the longer handle for a two handed backhand, and the elongated head for a larger sweet spot. As it ’s the lightest weight it feels less like a club and more like an extension of my arm. The light weight is providing head speed at the kitchen for inevitably fire fights while allowing me the opportunity to control the kitchen line by slowing the rally down. The only issue right now? I can ’ t find it in the Sky Blue one to buy.

The Franklin Dynasty12 FeatherWeight is my lightest and most favorite paddle to date. As an Advanced Intermediate Women in early 60s I love the longer handle for a two handed backhand, and the elongated head for a larger sweet spot. As it ’s the lightest weight it feels less like a club and more like an extension of my arm. The light weight is providing head speed at the kitchen for inevitably fire fights while allowing me the opportunity to control the kitchen line by slowing the rally down. The only issue right now? I can ’ t find it in the Sky Blue one to buy.
