I had an old aluminum canoe that had been a great fishing canoe, but at 86 pounds I could no longer handle it. The Pelican Catch Classic 100 weighs only 58 pounds and slides easily on and off my truck. Plus, I 've already caught a lot of fish. I use a seat cushion that adds about 3 inches to the chair of the kayak and puts me up a bit higher. The kayak is great for about 2- 2. 5 hours of fishing. It's got a nice classic look, the net is soft it's short and compact as I do n't have much room in the canoe. It is wide and deep enough for a good size bass, crappie and/or a good size trout. Came looking for a wooden net with a clear rubber mesh, and not even a thought about something else. However when I found this, is had a rubber mesh and the durability of plastic and metal as opposed to wood. The ability to eyeball an accurate measurement and the retractable ela stick cord in the handle really sold me. Works wonderfully.
