Everything about this tool is perfect. From the blade to handle ratio, ambidextrous construction, lightweight glass fiber polymer, slim no nonsense design, to the firm feel of the liner lock and blade stop. the tolerance is so tight that there is no blade play out of the box. I do n't typically fall in love with a knife at first sight. However with this one I immediately had to buy it. If there was one thing I 'd change about it. I 'd have to say I 'd like to see it in an auto or spring assisted version. I 'd buy an auto pledge like time yesterday. Anyway that's my Ted talk. My favorite knife to date.
5
I got this knife on my birthday last month from my dad and I have not found one reason yet to live with out it. I cook with it I do yard work with it I cut rope you name it this knife does it and the last Gerber knife to me speechless was the strong arm but this knife it goes every where with me work taking a walk grocery shopping you name it.

Excellent finish, balance, and feeling knife. This is my 1 set fix blade from SOG while having had a few “ high end ” and/or custom fixed blades from others which this SOG is an excellent competitor to. This is a keeper and since a “ limited ” model, while still available, I would recommend it to others.

Knife is amazing. Very smooth opening, blade is very sharp and has maintained that edge throughout the first month of use. Only improvement iand these would make it the best edc ever would be to have some texture on handle it is very sleek and smooth to touch and to make it just a touch longer. I don ’ t have great big hands but it is still a slight small. When opening it feels it could jump out of my hand

I really like this knife's bigger brother, the Bugout and thought I would try this one, but it is too small for my large hands. well a little kid knocked my favorite knife off the pier today and i wish the warantee would cover that but it was a great knife, comes sharp, stays sharp and good blade thickness but lightweight and extremely durable cant believe the things it had been through( 70% of powdercoat was knocked off if that gives you any indication of how much abuse it survived, im ordering another as soon as im done with this here review, great product hope they continue to make great cheap knifes like these in the future.

The Salute Mini is somewhat of a misnomer for this knife. It is a very well built, well balanced, mid- sized lockback. It has an excellent blade profile for piercing as well as slicing. Dual, bronze pivot washers are rare at this price point. Nothing was really skimped on with superb knife except maybe the bead blast finish as opposed to satin polish. I ca n't comment on the black version other than my personal preference for silver blades. You 'd be hard pressed to find better quality and value than the Salute `` Mini ''. It's a no B. S., awesome EDC.

i have had this knife for years and it has yet to break on me. durable and affordable. i have had to only sharpen it three times and i use it daily. serration is great for line cutting. perfect size and weight and it fits perfectly in my hand. no problem with screws and no problem with dullness. i like that it takes two hands to open but even then if you do it right you can open it with one hand with no swinging.

I have had this knife with me for years. Love it. Very hard to find a better knife for the price and for everyday use.

I have loved the paraframe series since i got my first paraframe mini in a BG basic survival kit. Since I bought a paraframe II it has become my favorite of the series. All of the paraframe knives have very strong construction and sharp blades. They are all great for edc.

I have several Gerber knives, all of which are well made. This is nice for the price point, and the sheepfoot blade is unique.

Bought the yellow as a light duty knife for my wife. She loves the color and overall look. Could n't be happier. May not be a heavy duty EDC, but I want one for myself. Even though I need another EDC like another hole in the head. Ca n't decide whether red or lichen green. Maybe have to get both. For the price...

I think Gerber decides to reward our loyalties ever few years when it comes out with a little GEM like this. The Zilch is a wonderful design, it's inexpensive and simple but it works. The detent works, centering is perfect, lock up is solid, no blade play, sturdy pocket clip, smooth opening and the flat ground drop point blade is awesome. No expensive handle materials or blade steel at this price point but I love carrying it all the same. I got the Red one but will probably get more in the different colors just because. I think the main comparison/competition to the Zilch would be the Dozier and the 112 Slim...... so if you like that style of knife but prefer a liner lock then maybe the Zilch is for you.
5
I wish the Zilch had been around when I was going through knifes. Very solid little knife for the money with full liner. May not be premium material, but for the price beautifully executed. I find the Zilch design both more aesthetic and functional than other knifes in its price range. I do n't know how it would hold up under the use I give a knife, but at its price it would be a tool I 'd use and replace when I broke or lost it. And I broke and lost a lot of knives that cost more. Gerber might just have the best in its class here.
$17.99
It doesn ’ t stay sharp very long, but it ’s great for opening boxes and very light work, i use it 2- 5 times a day and only need to sharpen every other month, can ’ t beat it for under 15
5
Let me be frank about this. Its one of the best knives under 20 dollers you can get.
5
I got this knife about 2 months ago and it's great. Razor sharp out of the box and it's super durable. It's got this secure feeling when you hold it. The locking mechanism is great too. It's a frame lock and is really easy to open and close.
5
I originally bought this knife at the base PX for training thinking it would be a cheap disposable. This has by far been the best knife purchase I could 've made. This knife got me through field training, serves me daily in the office, and even provided crucial help during a car accident by breaking a window and cutting through a seatbelt. If you need a knife that can do it all, I swear by this one. It's a simple and reliable tool that comes everywhere with me.
5
It is really light and eventually you start to master the art of closing it. Highly recommend, but only if you are willing to practice closing it cause it might take time to get used to.
5
This is a fantastic, cheap knife. It is easy to carry with you everyday and very practical.

I love where the clip is located at the end of the grip as opposed to at the hinge. ... It still has a sharp edge after about a year of constant, albeit light,

Amazing knife, just wish the blade would open easier

Bought elsewhere. Am very pleased with this knife. I like its features.
5
Great knife holds a edge forever lightweight ca n't even feel it in my pocket nice balance love the finger hole feel comfortable in your hand I would highly recomend
5
Great knife. I 've owned it for over 3 years, and carry it every day. Once you get used to the design, opens very easily with one hand, and holds an edge very well. Thick and sturdy blade has never malfunctioned. I sharpen about every 3- 4 weeks and one drop of oil on the hinge. No complaints.
5
Honestly a really good knife. It was given to me as a door prize for a National Guard competition. At first I was n't impressed with the design, but time after time this knife has been the one I have turned to. It sharpens up to a razor edge with no trouble and holds a edge extremely well. The unusual hinge mechanism is extremely durable. Other folders' pins would have certainly loosened or altogether sheared off under the abuse I have put this knife.
$28.99
for being free, I have absolutely no complaints about it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller EDC knife. ... It has become one of the best knifes I own for everyday
5
Absolutely the best, most convenient knife I 've ever owned. Great for every day use.

Bought knife in 2010 the knife has great edge retention very durable perfect edc And a great camping knife I droped the knife onto concrete once and bent the tip of the blade but sharpened it good and it was good as new. it is now 2014 and I figure I have used the knife about 500+ times and only had to sharpen it about 5 times
5
Great knife! I carry this with me all the time, and I have nothing negative to say about it. I love Gerber products.

Bought this primarily due to sale price as I got the key chain multi tool and knife for what just the multi tool runs on Amazon. Both are great. Knife is feather weight so good choice if wanting a 2. 5 ” blade that you don ’ t notice.
