This is the best travelbackpack I ever owned. I use it mainly as a camerabag when travelling. Just pop the large cameracube in and off I go. Also used it as a daypack when travelling Japan by train: small cameracube, small packing cube and toiletries bag. And space to spare for still more stuff. Have lugged it around the world for 8 years and still no signs of wear and tear. And I did pack it with heavy stuff, sometimes 18 kilos of camera equipment. I picked this up a couple years ago and it's been on dozens of trips, both domestic US and abroad. I honestly have no complaints. It just works. If you 're the `` one bag '' kind of person, I 've found that this is entirely sufficient for travel beyond a week at a time. RJ's, mainline narrow- bodies, long haul wide- bodies — it fits on a very wide variety of aircraft. In the zipped down condition it will fit under- seat on any aircraft I 've been on. At that size it will also just barely squeeze into CRJ bins. At the expanded size it will fit overhead on just about any mainline aircraft, including the small bins on very old Airbus A320 family aircraft. Really a solid product, I 'd recommend it.

I bought the 30L Travel Backpack a couple of years ago. As a frequent flyer who also likes to take along a camera from time to time, this pack has been a perfect companion over many flights around Europe, America, Asia, and Australia. When traveling for work, this is the only bag I pack for a week away. My work laptop and iPad are safe in the internal pocket, and I use a selection of packing cubes to make a secure and tidy load. I use a large packing cube for my shirts and work trousers, along with a couple of t- shirts for the evenings. A small packing cube contains all my electronics, charging cables, razor, power brick, etc.( you need to remove all electrical items for screening in India, so this makes it very easy). The back pocket of that cube holds my non- liquid bathroom items. Another small cube contains my underwear and pyjamas. This all fits nicely in the 30L without it being expanded. Using the cubes means nothing falls out if I have to open it at the airport. I have the tech pouch and the wash bag, but they are not so compatible in size and, while very nice, just do n't fit with the system. When traveling in the cold, I wear a compressible down jacket and either stuff it under the magnetic flap of the bag for temporary stowage or undo the expansion zips and pop it inside the bag under the packing cubes. When I travel with my camera for a short hop, I substitute the large cube with a small camera cube that fits my Sony mirrorless and an extra lens nicely. I use a small packing cube for clothes in this setup. I ’ ve been working this way for a couple of years, and it has been great. I am off on a vacation that will involve a bit more photography, so I just purchased a smedium camera cube. The reason I bought this is because I am flying with EasyJet, who are pretty strict on their carry- on allowances. The 30L Travel pack is technically too big to qualify on EasyJet. Their limit is 30cm tall, and the 30L is 34cm tall. Now, I ’ ve taken the bag many times on EasyJet and not been called out, but I don ’ t want to risk having to check a bag full of expensive camera gear. For this trip, my 30L Travel backpack will hold a bunch of additional lenses in the smedium photo cube while my camera will live in a PD 6L Sling, which will be my personal item. If EasyJet does become unEasyJet and force me to check the 30L Travel pack, I can remove the camera cube and just bring that as my carry- on item. Oh, and another great finding with the 30L is that the smedium cube along with the 6L sling are a perfect fit. Now that is just genius design!

I 've been looking at this pack for probably a couple of years now, and finally pulled the trigger a few months ago. I wanted a backpack that allowed for better camera gear accessibility, and I appreciate the many thoughtful features of this one. I recently took it on a vacation trip that included some hiking and lots of time in airports. Things I really like- Visually, the design is very clean. The camera accessibility is great. You have the option of access from either side, and you can set up the partitions to suit your gear. Personally I 'd like a better separation between the top section and the bottom section, as small items can fall down past the flexible partition into the camera section. I ended up using one of the Peak Design gear pouches to keep smaller items in place. I like the little zipper `` locks ''. Whether they 'd completely deter a thief, I doubt it, but they 'd definitely slow them down a bit. With regards to the fit- I 'm on the taller side( 72 '' /182 cm), and I found the waist strap to fit higher than I 'd like. It's not so much a hip belt as a waist belt- for me at least. I appreciate the fact that it can be stowed in the back of the pack, but some sacrifices are made in terms of comfort and load carrying. Carrying an SLR, a telephoto lens, wide angle lens, a smaller point and shoot camera, Nalgene bottle, a jacket, snacks, and some other gear-- I found that the narrow shoulder straps were less comfortable than my regular backpack, and I would think twice about taking it on an multi- hour hikes over rough terrain. The non- stretchy side pockets are also a bit limited if you 've got some larger lenses/gear in the pack. In summary... if you 're a gear nerd, you 'll appreciate the features and thought that's gone into this pack. As an urban/light day trip hiking pack, this would be great. For longer trips with more gear, you 'd probably want something bigger and with more padding. Just rec Those are my initial impressions from a 10- day trip, and I have yet to use it for cycling and other things that I do.

An absolute legendary 10/10 backpack. I have the 20L version and I pack in my Sony a7R- V w/ 24- 70mm lens attached plus my 85mm and 200- 400mm plus my vertical battery grip, 3x extra batteries, chargers, laptop, and other miscellaneous small stuff. It takes some time learning how to use the origami dividers and what will work best for you. I made numerous changes as I figured out how to pack my gear in a way that works best for me. Once I dialed it in, man this bag rocks.

I travel a lot have lots of bags and stroller bag at my home( at least 3 for each member of my family of 4) but I have never used anything like this. It is 3 kg in weight and size is perfect to be used as cabin bag for flights. There is separate space to carry 2 laptop, one ipad safely. I specially liked the side pockets which can fit big bottle and has multiple other pockets inside it secured by chain. Chain and zip are thick and of high quality. There are multiple pockets and spaces which is great to pack your things in an organized way. It has belt on the back which fits on a stroller bag when you are traveling on flights. The straps fits on your shoulder snuggly and has strap to tie it from front so that is doesn ’ t slip. It is perfect for long travel and there is so much space inside it that can surprisingly fit so much inside it. I have bought and replaced many bags because they get damaged easily when traveling long distance but I can guarantee that this Thule bag will last long and will survive harsh conditions of travel. There are many other good things about this bag which you will notice and will be surprised from it once you start using it. I love this bag. I 've barely used it yet, and I 'm already very impressed with the material and craftsmanship quality. It has the perfect number of pockets, and my laptop fits very securely. I love that the laptop is in the center of the bag and not next to my back when I wear it. I am looking forward to taking this on trips and having a compact carry on when I fly.

The Vantage 20L has completely replaced my old commuter bag. It's a good looking bag with smart organization to keep my laptop and essentials tidy. I live in the PNW, so the tough, water- resistant fabric is a lifesaver – my stuff stays bone dry regardless of the weather. Plus, I love knowing this whole bag is made with recycled materials. But what really sold me is the surprising capacity. At first, I thought it might be too small for weekend adventures. Yet, it easily handles a change of clothes, tech gear, and even some snacks for a quick trip. The comfy straps and that sweat- wicking material are a game- changer, especially when I 'm out exploring – you barely notice you 're carrying it. I 've used it cycling 10+ miles at a time, and worn it scrambling up a cliffside. Incredibly versatile.

Hands down the coolest daypack/ citypack I 've ever owned. Do I wish the zipper went down a bit further? Sure, but who cares? Amazing design and attention to detail. It feels incredible to wear.
