My old net was a cotton type net which caused a lot of problems releasing the trout while fly fishing. This should solve my problem of the tangles that occurred with the flies getting hung up and should be better on the release of the fish as well. If you are fishing for big lake trout it would probably need to be bigger but for our trips to the San Juan River it will be very functional and make my trips much more enjoyable and a quicker trip back to the water for the trout as well. My 9yr old son and my boyfriend and I got it set up easily. Maybe took us an hour. The package arrived about 4 days earlier than the timeframe they gave me to shipping so we were excited. It does n't hardly squeak while jumping. The zipper door is made well- but is difficult for a 6foot adult to go in and out of, and I 'm worried that the bottom will rip because the opening is shaped like a cocoon and there is a lot of pressure on the bottom of it when entering/exiting. But- it looks really solid. I wish they did n't have to have the big white square warning label sewed on the the black netting- it's an eye sore and gets in the way of the pictures. But- I 'm sure it's just a rule. Overall- I 'm very happy with the ease of set up, the quality and sturdiness if the parts, and the price was right as long as you get it on sale. Have fun!

I would recommend this even if you dont have a projector. I have had 2 others and they did not last. This one is stout. It will last you long enough, you May buy a projector later. The net and frame of the cage is good quality and is fairly easy to put together. However, there are some subtle, but key things to note( long tent poles go in front, short in rear& the posts on the front arms need to be facing outwards- otherwise you 'll get major sag in the front of the net). For this price, I find it hard to beat. Also, the customer support is top notch. Very responsive, attentive and helpful. I highly recommend!

I ordered what I hoped would be a professional quality net with solid braided netting, plastic coated cables top and bottom and quality borders. I got it all in this product. The materials were first class and lent themselves to my backyard set up with two galvanized steel poles and eye hooks with tensioners on one end. The only thing I might recommend to back yard DIY's, is to hang the two ends one foot higher on the poles( 8' 4 '') to compensate for the sag in the middle. Unless you have those pulleys and cranks, like the pros, the long expanse of the net will sag about 14 inches in the middle. Starting at a higher position should take care of that. BALL UP!
