Bought the lure to augment an offshore trolling spread consisting of surface and near- surface lines. Fished the plug on 20- pound trolling outfit, with 12- foot 150- pound mono leader, run about 100 feet down the middle. The plug pulls hard when trolled at 7 to 8 knots, but digs down and swims well, even at that speed-- although anglers should be warned that at that speed, a 20 is about as light as you can go, as the lure will take line off the reel if anything less than 7 pounds of drag is used. Primary target for the lure was dolphin( mahi- mahi), which hit it well when not showing on the surface; the plug drew a strike from my largest mahi of the 2018 season.

Definitely my go to lure. If you just wan na catch a fish tie one of these on. Its small but VERY loud for a tiny lipless crankbait. Can cast really good even with a bait caster and is fairly aerodynamic, lands straight and belly down `` 99% '' of the time. I use this for both salt and fresh water. Ive caught panfish of many sizes along with bass, chain pickerel, crappie, white+ yellow perch, red drum, baby striper barely longer than the bait to 20+ inchers. Its just a fish catcher! Colors I mainly use for this are helsinki shad and blue chrome( pure personal opinion but Im sure all the colors work). Im trying the pink tiger next! Random: This was one of the first rapala lures Ive ever bought back in the day( Im only 18, lol) and it quickly became a lure I always had faith in. Whenever I was feelin one of those `` not so serious '' kind of fishing days Id always have at least one of these in my mini tackle crate.

I lost one like this and I am very happy with my new one. If you use for your personal workout you do n't have keep track of reps in you head, depending on the exercise of course. As an old wrestling coach it is far better to use this when you drill and want to keep track of reps in a drill than for time. My manager made sure each wrestler did the same thing on both right and left sides for certain drills. it is a great coaching tool. You and your assistant can keep score of a match easily with this.
