I own two of the rival 20 setups and have caught some nice fish everything from big muttons and mangroves to trolling and catching mahi. I 've even landed a 7 foot shark. These combos are great for the price and can handle a lot of torture. I 'm looking at getting a couple more for my offshore inventory.

I returned a rod to my local store and ended up picking up this combo. I picked it up for tog fishing and use it for all my bait fishing now. My girlfried used it fluke fishing and the only thing she did n't like was the right hand retrieve. I purchased a left hand retrieve rival reel for when she goes. The reel is smooth and also has the retrive rate in inches per turn on the side plate. The rod is sensitive but also has a good back bone to it. I have two of these set ups and personally think for the money they are well worth it.
