This scale is very well made. I can see it will take a lot of abuse. I use it to weigh rabbits. We raise rabbits for meat and it is not easy to tell which one is the heaviest, with all that fur, so the scale comes in very handy. It also makes a good scale to weigh luggage prior to taking that flight.

I have had this scale for a year, and it continues to work well. To give you an idea of what conditions the scale has been used; I fish 3- 4 times a week, freshwater, from a kayak, and rainy weather does not stop me. I store it in my tackle bag. I routinely use it in the rain, and has been left out exposed to rain a couple of times, though I usually waited for it to dry before turning it on if it got really wet, and I would not recommend it. I weighed a 1 liter bottle of water( 1 kg) and it was 2. 2 lbs, even after a year. Cons: The power button is tricky, takes me several tries before it comes on because there is like a certain way/time it has to be pressed. Also, the metric to lbs is hard to do, so if you accidentally change it to kilo it can be hard to change back.( the good side is you will get really good at multiplying numbers by 2. 2 in your head)* Note, I accidentally bought 2 of these scales originally, and the first one broke after like a month. I have a feeling the reviews for this product will be mixed because their are definite lemons out there. But if you get a good one its pretty good. If not for this it would be 5 stars.

It is thinner than scales I have had in the past and has a modern design. I did n't notice the screen until I step on it. The screen is then vibrant and easy to read. The scale can recognize up to 8 people in your household just by their stepping on it. To get started using the scale, just download the Withings app. The app takes you step by step in turning on your scale, pairing it through Bluetooth, setting it up with Wi- Fi. It could not be easier since it tells you everything you need to do and it's only a few quick steps. It displays my name when I step on it. It needs bare feet to measure your health stats. It measures weight, BMI, fat%, muscle%, vascular age( after a few readings), visceral fat, and electrodermal activity( EDA). The app gives you education on what each of those measurements mean and why they are important. If you do n't step evenly on the scale, it displays a guidance arrow to help you distribute your weight more evenly for an accurate reading. I was able to add my husband to my app, and the scale automatically detects him when he stands on it, has his name, and records his health stats. This scale keeps me accountable with the app tracking my weight progress, my vascular health, and takes in account my health goals( whether it's losing weight, gaining weight, maintaining weight). Works great for measuring large mouth's in my kayak. It fold up to 12 inches, to fit in my bag, and unfolds to 24- long enough to measure all but a few fish. The joint where it folds is n't too secure, and it comes into two pieces often, but can just be clicked back together. Not a big deal.

Largest fish it's had on was only about 3 pounds so far, so we 'll have to see if it can hold up to a monster. [ The Withings sleeping mat is a great tool to learn your sleep patterns. For someone like me that struggles with insomnia, it is a great tool to see where you may be struggling. The Sleeping mat goes on the side you sleep and under your mattress. If you have a bed that has just a bed frame with no box spring. You can still use this, it explains in the directions how to do it. It ’s what I have and it works great. You have to calibrate it. It ’s important you follow the instructions, because you might have to reset it to get it to work. You do have to leave it plugged in. The mat is awesome because it tells you how long you were in a deep sleep, rem, and if you were light sleep. It lets you know how long you snored, if you do. It also tells you your heart rate and if you had breathing disturbances. It also tells you how long you were up in between times. That ’s why it ’s important you do not sit on it while it is calibrating. There is added benefits to the sleeping mat if you wanted to pay the monthly or yearly subscription.
