paddle tail swimbaits rigged with a jig head are often the first baits i throw when fishing for bass. Just so happens it was the only bait i threw all day over the weekend. These produced hits from both largemouth bass and northern in ultra clear water and murky. I was using the sight flash color and it worked great. They do tear easy but are worth the constant action I have experience with them. I usually rig them with a 1/4 oz jig head with the hook through the top, works like a charm!

Bought and used these this past spring and caught a lot of bass. Easy to rig and use on leadhead jigs. Soft, so they have great action. Only problem is that the tails get bitten off easily. The package says they are squid scented. Apparently fresh water fish like that scent. After catching the bass in the photo, my friend also caught a 2+ pound trout! A tad pricey, but they catch fish, so worth it.

Best advice I can give is to buy these in person. Some stores may have left over stock and those minnows are no good. Look for the fresh ones. Get yourself a# 4 hook, a bobber, and split shot if needed; and you 're set. Goodluck, fish on.

Looks like a copy of an olt time lure my grandfather used. My 5 yr old grandson used the small lure in the packet and caught a bass and two pickerel. Will try the large lure on blue fish next. Lure give lots of action and noise. May take trebel hook off and replace with one hook- easier to remove from fish.
