I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

No shoe will ever be as good as the Gel- Cumulus 23, but I am very pleased with the GC- 27. Mile after mile of spongy comfort, excellent lateral support, great energy return. No need to frequently stop and re- lace or re- cinch. Some might find the tongue a bit short; I found myself tugging on it the first ten miles. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). I love these shoes. I was a mega fan of the SL2. 0 with the Continental rubber sole. The one difference I noticed is the sole. I ran in the SL2 after some rain and the traction was precarious. Similar to other shoes models that have been updated without the Continental soles, I did not feel comfortable running in these shoes with any moisture on the pavement. I was afraid of tweaking my knee or ankle. Otherwise, these are nice and light with enough cushion and pep.

I just ordered my second pair of the Rubatos to replace the ones I ordered a year ago. I walk about 1- 4 miles a day and have worn these on about 66% of those walks. They provide plenty of cushioning and support. I can wear these for long periods of time without my lower back and feet hurting. Suggestions to make this the perfect shoe: a little bit better ventilation, a little more width in the toe box and maybe add 1mm to the lugs. I absolutely love these shoes! I ’ m prone to getting blisters but that isn ’ t a problem any more with these shoes. They are super lightweight, comfy, cushioned but still give you that bounce from the carbon plate. I feel like my runs are lighter and faster. I font feel any shock when I hit the ground so it feels like walking/running on clouds. I can not recommend these shoes enough! I plan on using these for race day. They are so comfy for longer runs and faster speed runs.
