I love these shoes. I was a mega fan of the SL2. 0 with the Continental rubber sole. The one difference I noticed is the sole. I ran in the SL2 after some rain and the traction was precarious. Similar to other shoes models that have been updated without the Continental soles, I did not feel comfortable running in these shoes with any moisture on the pavement. I was afraid of tweaking my knee or ankle. Otherwise, these are nice and light with enough cushion and pep.

I just ordered my second pair of the Rubatos to replace the ones I ordered a year ago. I walk about 1- 4 miles a day and have worn these on about 66% of those walks. They provide plenty of cushioning and support. I can wear these for long periods of time without my lower back and feet hurting. Suggestions to make this the perfect shoe: a little bit better ventilation, a little more width in the toe box and maybe add 1mm to the lugs. This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I ’ m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don ’ t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I ’ d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. I 'll admit that I have always thought Altra shoes were not for me. Between the squared off toe box and the zero drop DNA; I just never gave them a chance. That all changed when they came out with the Experience collection and the move to a mid- drop ALTernative. Okay I definitely struck gold when I chose these Nikes for my next run the way they hug your feet is simply perfect design they are so lightweight I have nothing on when wearing them. I purchased both Hoka Bondi 9 and the Skyward. The support is Awesome but my feet tend to get tired faster in the Skyward as opose to the bondi 9. I do 12 hour days, the arch support is great in these i have high foot arche. I do not have leg or knee trouble when wearing the Hokas. At first I thought I needed a half size smaller than normal but after trying definetly true to size.

After running in the Torins and getting injured, like a fool I researched after. Knowing I need supporting shoes, I bought the Paradigm 5s and absolutely loved them. Once they wore out I bout the the 6s the foam was too soft and not supportive like the 5s. The 6s were also not responsive like the 5s. I took a gamble on the 7s because I heard they were firmer and they are way better than the 6s. People that started on the 6 probably wo n't like that, but people who started before the 6s and went to Paradigm for support will love them compared to the 6s.

I was a bit apprehensive when I read the fit was a bit snug but swift delivery meant I didn ’ t have to worry as the fit is fine. I ’ ve only worn them for a few hours and they seem really comfortable. I ’ m a size UK 5. 5 with a high instep but always buy UK 6 and I have enough room in these trainers without them being too big. I love these shoes! I had two pairs of the 5s. The rubber did come off on the bottom the first week but I superglued it back on. I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc in these babies and they did great! Love the extra cushioning and durability. Will definitely buy them again for my next long hike. The extra cushioning prevented any foot pain. I 'd say they lasted a whole summer of maybe 200 miles of hiking!

[ I have been using the Altra Olympus 6 for hiking, running, and fastpacking. This is my first time trying a full- cushion trail shoe, but I have been road running in the Altra Torin for about 6 years. After about 25 miles of mixed terrain, weather and landscapes, I feel this shoe excels in climbing and tackling dry, loose terrain. I felt stable and powerful sprinting up sandy hillsides and dusty singletrack. The shoe absorbs the impact of large gravel, and bites into turns well. I slid around a bit on large wet roots and slick rocks under the stiff midfoot but recovered quickly and happily traded that for the protection from sharp obstacles. The high stack kept my feet dry when encountering mud and puddles, while the well ventilated upper kept me comfortable on long, hot days. The contoured form around the Achilles took a little getting used to, but it worked to lock my heel on ascents; no hot spots. Laces stay tied. Altra gave me this free product to try, and I 'm looking forward to putting many more miles on it.

[ All I run in is Altra's, so I was stoked when Altra gave me this free product to try. The Olympus 6's look a bit like oversize clown shoes, however, they are SO comfortable I just love running in them! Recently, I was running up a muddy hill along Minnehaha Creek in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and some guy and his dog tried to run up the same hill, and he started sliding down it! I reached my hand out to help him get up the hill, and so he grabbed onto it, and the grip of these shoes was nearly strong enough to hold up him and me, but eventually he started to drag me down the hill with him, so I yelled at him to let go, as he propelled up. It was reaffirming to me though how well these Olympus 6's performed compared to other trail shoes- especially on the wet/muddy ground! These Olympus 6's have one heck of a grip! The colors are decent( I always prefer men's colors to women's, but the women's are okay on this model shoe). The heel is a bit large on me, and the shoes look silly on my skinny legs, but these really are super comfortable shoes that still feel pretty lightweight( all things considered) and really do perform well! For someone looking for a high cushioned shoe with good traction, I 'd highly recommend the Olympus 6's. Thanks Altra for providing these shoes for free to me so I could review them. I sure do love them!
