[ Bought this bag as a lightweight down alternative to my synthetic bag. I love this style of bag so it was a no brainer. My first test on my living room floor resulted in a 2 hour nap. [ Just took this bag on a 12 day trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in Mew Mexico. On the nights when the temperatures dipped into the 30s, this bag kept me very comfortable when zipped up properly. On warmer nights, I unzipped the bag about 30 percent to let a little air in. I ’ ve been using the Questar™ 20F/- 6C Sleeping Bag on several camping trips now, and it has exceeded my expectations every time. The warmth and comfort it provides, even in colder conditions, are impressive. The fit is cozy without feeling restrictive, and the materials feel high- quality and durable. One feature that stood out to me is the SynergyLink™ connectors, which kept the bag securely in place on my sleeping pad throughout the night, preventing any cold spots. I also appreciate the ThermoCapture™ lining that effectively reflects body heat, making this bag a true lifesaver on colder nights. Setting it up and packing it away is a breeze, and it compresses well for easy storage in my backpack. Whether I ’ m car camping or backpacking, this bag has become my go- to for any adventure where I need reliable warmth and comfort.

Rick
The COMFORT range on this sleeping bag is 32°F/0°C. So, that means that your average person will be comfortable at those temps. Simply put, this is a 3- season bag. If you 're looking for a 4- season bag, then do your research and buy a bag that is a rated comfort level for subzero temps( Polar Ranger). This is an awesome bag for what it is designed to do. Do n't buy a bag with clearly defined ratings, expecting it to perform differently... And then give it a poor review. I own 6 Therm- A- Rest sleeping bags and 2 quilts, and they all perform as rated. I do 95% of my camping in very cold temps and these bags have performed to standard.

[ COMFORT: First off let me state that this bag is not made of some super thin sticky nylon like some ultralight bags are. This very soft to the touch and extremely comfortable. I actually prefer the way it feels to my actual bed at home that we have spent thousands on. The bag lofts up nice and thick and looks very inviting and actually makes you excited to snuggle down in it for sleep. In addition, the bag is very roomy. It doesn ’ t feel constricting like typical mummy bags. If you are a side sleeper or toss and turn I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU GET THE LONG VERSION of this bag even if you don ’ t need it for height. The main reason is that the long version of this bag is also wider in the foot box than the regular length. This provides quite a bit more comfort for those of us who move around a lot at night. Even though the long bag says it ’s for 6 ’ 6 ” people I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and this allows me to snuggle down into the bag and pull it over my head for warmth as well as leaving me the option to store gear in the bottom to prevent it from freezing. Had I got the regular length it would have forced me to sleep with my head outside exposed and left no room in the foot box. TEMPERATURE RATING TEST: It ’s October now and we recently had some cooler weather move in for a couple of days so I used it as an opportunity to test the bag and my new sleep pad. According to accuweather temps dipped down to 40*. I slept outside on our deck to test this bag. First I laid down a thin blanket to prevent any damage to my thermarest from splinters or such. Next was my thermarest neo- air xlite. Finally, this bag which is comfort rated to 32* when you wear appropriate base layers. As stated above, the temps supposedly dipped down to 40* and I chose to wear nothing but my boxer briefs as I figured if I stayed warm then I should have no problem staying warm to 32* with wool base layers as the rating suggest. I can confirm that the bag worked great. No issues whatsoever. I slept all night in the bag and never got cold. Starting off the night when it was around 48* I was actually too hot and had to unzip the bag. At about 7am when temps were at their low I stayed zipped inside but stayed comfortable. The biggest surprise to me was that I didn ’ t get cold feet. I don ’ t think I have ever slept outside and not got cold feet. And this is while wearing thick wool socks. Often 2 pair of them! In this sleeping bag I wore no socks at all and my feet stayed warm. This was a pleasant surprise. I now have no worries as winter progresses that this bag will do just fine in lower temps so long as I wear appropriate clothing as suggested. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, if you like to move around at night and don ’ t like a typical mummy bag this is the one you should get. It ’s very roomy and never once did I feel confined. I rolled and tossed all over the place and stayed warm and cozy. I spent hours searching for something lighter and while you may find something a few ounces lighter than this bag it will cost twice as much and will be about a foot narrower in the foot box. I hope thermarest never stops making these bags. I want to save up for the 0* version now for those really cold nights. I now have a thermarest xlite pad, this thermarest sleeping bag, and a thermarest pillow and none of them have disappointed me. At this point I don ’ t think I would hesitate to buy anything thermarest offers if I needed it because it ’s clear their gear is well thought out and quality made.

[ I was n't sure how this bag would work out, but so far it's super. It really is designed as described. It's quite roomy, allows one to turn and side sleep and is definitely warm enough. [ I finally got out camping this past weekend in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Overnight lows were 32 degrees. I did also use a sleeping bag liner because I was afraid I might be cold. But I was very comfortable all night long. I actually stayed in the tent from 9PM to 9AM.

[ I 'm a side sleeper so this for sure caught my attention. I have n't used it out on the trail yet but from testing around the house, it appears to be a great buy. Super comfy, nice and light, feels very warm and just a quality overall product. The only knock from a 5- star review right now is it does feel a bit snug. All my sleeping bags are made by Marmot, and they span the different seasons we have in Alaska. This bag is colorful and the new improvement is the fishtail you can unzip and move around in. Its down so its light but lofty. The zippers on my bags do not snag and the down stays in the bag and not falling out at the baffles. Just really well made and comfortable. If you buy a Marmot bag or two you will probabley never switch to another brand. My bags need to not fail me at 45 degrees and much more crucially at- 20F, and I have never had any problems with Marmot bags. They are reasonable in price for such a good investment. No regrets ever with choosing Marmot. It may not be Always Summer in Alaska, but in this bright and citrusy bag you will want it to be.

The Bantamweight bag fits a wide range of temperatures and conditions. Its a very lightweight and compact performance sleeping bag. Ive used this for multi- day alpine routes and camping in a tent. Temperatures ranged from 0 degrees to 40 degrees F. I use this bag a lot for travel to save space and weight. [ I bought this bag for tent and car camping in down to 30s temps. My 650 down fill bag did not cut it for me, so I went for the 800 Dridown bag. I am so glad I did! I 'm an athletic built 5' 4 ''( 120 lb) female, 65 y/o and this bag is perfect fit for me. I like the extra room at the feet. I have room to roll on my side if I wish.# 1, It's as warm as my 800 down fill coat and stays puffy because of the small percentage of added fill. I have n't tested it, but it's the small portion of polyester fill that makes this bag dryer than a full down bag. I found out how important it is for the bag to dry out after sleeping in a rain soaked tent which is reason# 2 for buying this great Kelty bag. This is a fantastic bag all around. The zippers work very well and have a protective ledge to run on so they do n't snag in either direction. The head piece cinches well around my head, if needed. It even comes with a stuff sack made of similar material. My only wish is that it came with a mesh storage sack. Otherwise, this is a perfect and dreamy bag!

[ Bought this for beach camping in coastal NC- kept my daughter snug as a bug in 30 degree weather. Stuff sack could be smaller, but you can always buy one yourself and really save on space. This bag is def a good buy.

[ Used this in the Tetons for a couple weeks, mid- end of September. Temps at night were anywhere from upper 20s to upper 30s. I never got cold. It weighed 2lbs, 6oz like advertised. Stuff sack is bigger than it needs to be-- which is really nice to get it in the bag without struggle.( There were nights I used a Cocoon silk liner but that made it too warm.)

[ I have spent almost a dozen nights in my 20- degree Trestles and I think it's great, especially when nights are in the 55 to 35- degree range. I have used it backpacking, rafting and car camping. There is plenty of hip and torso room, the zipper system is great, it's plenty roomy for me: I 'm 5- 10& 165. It becomes a warm mummy and I 'm confident with long underwear and a hat it's warm below freezing. The bag stuffs very small for a synthetic bag but retains loft well. I have one fancier$$ down bag that is better, but the Trestles is the best value. It blows away all my synthetic North Face bags from the 90s& 00s.

Used on a few hiking trips, the aspen packs down decent, but is very warm. If you are taller than 5 ’ 7- 5 ’ 8 I would get the large. It ’s pretty tight height wise at 5 ’ 7. I really like the material, its extremely quiet instead of making noise every time you move

This sleeping bag is awesome! The color is beautiful, and it's cozy, lightweight, and perfect for cooler nights. The 20- degree rating kept me warm, even when the temperature dropped, and the synthetic fill is soft without being bulky. It ’s also the perfect length for me at 5' 9 '', but I would n't recommend it for anyone taller. It packs down nicely and doesn ’ t take up much space in my pack. Great for camping trips where you need reliable warmth without the extra weight!

[ This bag is so cozy and the color is beautiful. The zippers on both sides are such a great thing for me as I typically sleep facing the opposite side the zippers are on other bags and my dog crawls in to sleep inside with me. There ’s plenty of room for her to do that with this bag also. We took it on our first adventure backpacking to a fire tower overnight and it was plenty warm in the 20s with my liner, wearing just a base layer. I can ’ t wait to take it on more adventures when the weather warms up and see how it holds up but I ’ m already very happy with the purchase!
5

[ The sleeping bag is made well, very comfy feels cozy, and not noisy. The width was great and not too snug sleeping in undergarments but would have been crowded with heavy sleepwear. I wish I would ’ ve ordered a longer and colder bag. Sleeping Id roll further into the bag and the foot box was cramped lengthwise( im 5 ’ 6 ”). I did not attempt to use the bag solo nor would I because it was so cold, icy,& damp. I used a liner( game changer!) and a secondary sleeping bag unzipped on top as a blanket.

[ I bought this for my son so he can stay warmer at the scouts winter camp out. It worked great in below freezing weather! The only suggestion I would offer is stuff the bottom of the sleeping bag to fill any open spaces, this is a adult sleeping bag so my son had open space in there the first night and he was a little cold but the next few nights he filled that void with his clothes for the next day and a blanket and it worked perfectly. Great purchase.

I actually did n't try out this sleeping bag yet, it looks extremely thin I do n't see how I can survive down to 15 degrees on this thing however it looks well built the zippers look great and it's well- designed I 'm like a hair under 6 ft tall and I can fit in it and it's a little bit tight, so basically it looks pretty well- designed much lighter than I thought and hopefully it 'll keep me warm down to let's just say 30 degrees that would be good enough for me, joking aside looks like a good value but I have n't tried it yet

[ I took my new Torchlight 20 into the Cascades last month. The low temperature hit 35 degrees. No problem. I slept comfortably all night. The big upgrade is the ability to expand the shoulder section by 10 inches. I sleep on my sides-- both of them-- and rolling over in a traditional mummy bag is very awkward and unsettling. The Torchlight 20 solves that issue very well. I am heading back up this weekend. Temperature are expected to drop into the mid- 20's. We 'll see how it goes! [ This is a great 3 season bag! Light and packable for a synthetic. Very roomy. At six feet tall, 180 pounds, 34 waist, large hips and broad shoulders, I had plenty of room to sleep on my back and side. I had no problem with length even with my air pillow tucked into the hood. The temperature rating on the bag felt good in 30°F weather, keeping me nice and warm, paired with a sleeping pad rated at 4. 1 R value. A nice soft feel and glow in the dark zipper pulls are also good bonuses.

I 've owned many bags, from different manufacturers and this bag embodies all the features I want. I 've used sleeping bags from a number of brands and I can tell you that Marmot makes the best sleeping bags. I sleep cold and they are always significantly warmer than other bags of the same temperature rating from other brands. The same it true of this bag. It packs down so small and is warmer that a 15 degree bag I have from another brand. I did n't think I would need the added 1/4 zipper on the other side, but really enjoyed the feature on warm summer nights where I needed extra ventilation.

This is a very well- made sleeping bag for the price. I 've used it in the low 30's and it kept me comfortable all night. The extra room is nice to have as mummy bags have gotten harder for me to use over time. Unless you are going on very technical types of treks, this bag will serve you just fine. Also, it packs very small relative to its size so be sure to take it out of its compression bag for storage. I use a mesh laundry bag to keep mine.

I did have a few issues where the lower zipper would come off but it was an easy fix each time. The bag is warm and very comfortable, it did it's actual job very well. It packed away very easily and I felt good being able to compress it down in it's base compression sack. It is a fabric lined interior so take that into consideration if you are a sensation person. My wife did n't enjoy the way it felt when she layed in it.

This sleeping bag is absolutely wonderful. As a climber, I almost exclusively use this bag for car camping/campsite camping. That being said, it offers exactly what I want from it. It is warm enough to deal with cold nights( I 've used it as low at 20 F without any issues), but breathable enough to not suffocate me on warmer spring nights. It's mighty comfortable, and the materials used helped me feel more comfortable in the bag( I have some sensory stuff). The only con I could think of is its pack down size: this is not an ULW or super packable sleeping bag. If every gram matters to you, this may not be the sleeping bag. For everyone outside of through hikers or backcountry folks, this is a fantastic bag!

Ordered this to replace a sleeping bag I have had for over ten years. This thing did not disappoint, first use was winter training sleeping outside at 10 degrees and I was super warm all night long. It doesn ’ t suffocate you or squeeze you like a French corset. I am 5 ’ 10 190 athletic build and had plenty of room to sleep on my side and roll. [ Leveled up from my old synthetic sleeping bag to down and am super happy so far. It ’s so cozy and packs down small. I love that there ’s room for me to turn any which way and curl my legs up in this bag, it is much less constricting than a typical mummy bag. I did find that the bag didn ’ t really move with me the way I expected it to for side sleeping, so I found the hood section kind of in my way at some points. It wasn ’ t too cold so I just kept my head out and used that part as a pillow of sorts. I did also notice a bit of shedding of feathers and hope that will remain minimal over time. So far I ’ ve used it for two nights in about 40deg weather and was very warm.

[ Our Boy Scouts of America troop braved the annual Klondike adventure in New Hampshire, facing temperatures as low as- 10°F. Proper layering and quality gear were essential, and the Sea to Summit fleece liner proved to be a game- changer. Combined with a 15°F sleeping bag and a thermal liner, the fleece liner added a noticeable boost in warmth and comfort. It effectively trapped heat, prevented cold spots, and made a significant difference in overall insulation. The soft fleece material was cozy, and despite the extreme conditions, we woke up warm and well- rested. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to enhance their sleeping system in cold- weather camping.

[ I luckily bought the long model even though the normal one is for up to 6'. Very glad I did that. As my first sleeping bag, I got advice from so many people. Some told me to adhere to the temp rating, some said get a lower rating and just sleep on top of it if it's hot. I should have listened to my more experienced friend about sleeping on top. Temps dropped to 40 and I wish I got a bag that was rated even 20 or below. I was wearing just a t- shirt and running pants to sleep and everyone said I ought to just wear more to bed, but I like being less restricted when sleeping. The bag was just enough but would have liked to be a bit warmer. I ended up wearing running pants and a merino base layer to sleep for 50 degrees and it was fine. The material was nice, soft, and light. I appreciated the zips a lot but did n't get to try the split zip at my legs. Highly recommend for the quality!

Im 5' 7 '' 190lbs and when inside the bag with just mypants and shirt not alot of room to move which is what you want but.... if your a little uncofratble not being able to move you might need to go with a bigger size. also if you wanted to add liners you might like the extra space. We live in Kodiak, AK always blowing and raining and this bag is what you want.

All these years sleeping bags have been approached by treating the feathers to be water resistant. How common sense and awesome is it to just have a vortex shell instead. I hope this becomes standard in cold weather bags, to have a gortex shell. Awesome!

This bag is great! I took this up to 10, 000 ft in CO for an early Nov backpacking/ hunting trip and it was perfect. This bag packs down small, is super warm, and the Gore- Tex shell kept the frost from getting the bag wet. The only downside is that it's a little loud when moving around( a weird qualm, I know) but that's a small price to pay for the Gore- Tex shell keeping everything dry.

It says 0 degree limit and 13 degrees comfort on the bag itself. I used this bag in conjunction with a 4. 4 R- value sleeping pad and Gore- Tex bivy sack for a week. It was- 2 the first night with 3 inches of snow on the ground, and this bag was still comfortable( I wore appropriate base layers as well). Other nights varied between 5 and 20 degrees, and this bag performed superbly. It is durable and packs easily. Highly recommend.

[ Have taken this bag camping twice. First time had mild night temps in the 40s and was never chilled; opening the bag a bit solved any overheating. Just got back from the second outing where the temps unexpectedly dropped to 19F. There was frost in the tent and on the bag but I was completely warm and dry. Plenty of room inside, though I could use a little less length, as my feet sometimes get chilly because I ’ m so short I can ’ t reach the bottom of the bag to warm it up. Great shoulder season bag. Very satisfied with this purchase.

[ Our daughter received this for Christmas and slept outside the same night. It was about 20 degrees Fahrenheit and she said she was toasty warm. She is 5 ’ 9 ” and said there was room for several more inches in the bag.

[ I overheat super easy and sleeping bags tend to make me pretty uncomfortable. I bought a marmot bag years ago and it was my absolute favorite. Super lightweight and compact, it keeps me warm but never overheated and there was never any issues with the zippers. I ended up loosing that bag and not buying a new one for a couple years. I finally decided to get a new bag and figured marmot would be the best place to look. It turns out not only did they still make the same bag it's not made out of more eco- friendly materials! I ordered the bag and got it very quickly in the mail and am very pleased with my purchase. I ca n't wait to be able to go out with my own sleeping bag again!

At this point I have only used the sleeping bag for 2 nights in Central Florida. The first night the low temp was 42 degrees F. I was plenty warm even had to unzip the sleeping bag at times. I look forward to using the sleeping bag on my trip to Torres Del Paine in December this year. Keep in mind that this bag comes in either a left or right zip. Some websites only carry one zipper configuration. My first bag was a right zip bag. As a right handed person, this was awkward for me.

[ I brought this sleeping bag with me on my thru- hike of the Pacific Crest Trail last summer. I slept in it for 150 nights and never let me down! Great balance between weight, warmth, and price. However, I found it very narrow. I like to sleep with my legs forming a figure 4 shape, but it was impossible to do in this bag. I also rotate like a rotisserie chicken during the night and I got tangled in it a few times. A little bit cold when temperatures drop towards 0°C, especially when the bottom of the bag is exposed, as it is less insulated than the top. I had to wear my puffy for those nights or wrap it around my bum to keep it warm. Finally, I found it a bit bulky but it is overall a great product! I would recommend it to thru- hikers on a budget or anyone going on shorter trips.

[ The sleeping bag has been great for both backpacking and car camping. Held up( just) in below freezing temperatures and does well for warmer temperatures. Light, cozy, packs pretty small. Easily fits back in it's stuff sack. We like how the women's had a choice of zip side. Needed a synthetic sleeping bag as my partner is vegan and we 're happy with the purchase:) reasonably priced too. Good size for us( 160- 175 cm), although a little snug across the bag

[ Nice and compact to have in case of emergencies. Plan on keeping it in my car to provide warmth in case of getting stuck in the winter. Seems durable and held up to waterproof testing in the package. I don ’ t know how easy it would be to get back in package after use but hopefully you never need it more than once.

[ Received from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This is my first time getting a product from SOL, and it was something that I didn ’ t realize that I needed. I think that everybody should have one of these in case of emergencies. It comes in a compact box and you can carry it anywhere. I ’ ll be in my car, especially since there are very heavy winters where I live. This includes a protection shelter, it ’s lightweight, and holds heat and is also waterproof. It also has some other versatile features such as a rescue and a tinder cord. I feel safe having this on hand! For the price it ’s a great item to keep your mind at ease in an emergency. Recommend to anyone, those who have a car should probably store one in case of an emergency and it really is so compact you barely notice!

[ This is compact. It is light. It can be a life saver. My son had an accident out in the country some years ago. It was below 0. It took time to get to him and find him. I was very happy to get this because it would have helped home so much. With a waterproof blanket and an ability to stay warm, everyone should have these. I put it straight into his SUV. I feel better knowing he has this kit. It will be easy to locate. I plan to get a couple more for each vehicle.

[ I have no complaints. It ’s my first down sleep bag, very packable into a 13 L dry bag( I think? Def not an 8L whatever size is up from that). Temps were getting down into the 30s and I didn ’ t have an insulated sleeping pad or sleeping bag insert. I was definitely comfortable and stayed warm enough to sleep.

[ I have several sleeping bags and quilts, but I wanted to consolidate my gear and find a sleep system that could do it all. My search stopped when Big Agnes released the Lost Ranger UL 0° system. So far, the temperature ratings of each bag have been accurate. I ’ ve been comfortable into the low 20 ’s with the inner bag by itself and comfortable in the mid to low 40 ’s with just the top quilt. Paired with the Rapide SL sleeping pad from Big Agnes, this sleep system is incredibly warm. I used both bags on an overnighter where the temperatures got below 20° and I slept like a baby despite having condensation issues due to poor ventilation in my tent. The top quilt was pretty damp that morning, but because the down used in these systems is hydrophobic, it was dry before lunch. If I could change one thing about this system it would be to add another zipper on the right side of the quilt. If you could make the quilt removable from the fitted sheet at the same time that would be nice too so you could take the quilt with you around camp. Other than that I LOVE this sleep system.

Purchased because of discount price and size. I am over 6 foot 1 and tight sleeping bags are the worst for sleep. This is long, wide, and comfortable while still being light weight. The down is very comfortable and the cellphone pocket is very smart.

I have used my Vesper 0 deg quilter for a month of camping on BC ’s Sunshine Coast and northmost Vancouver Island. It was comfortable through a wide range of sweltering +30 deg heat, raining/ foggy chill( 4 deg) and even sleeping inside my vehicle. It handled humidity from damp rainforests and condensation from sleep. It dried quickly from one inadvertent wetting. What a super quilt! I added in the Sea 2 Summit thermal silk liner for cooler damp nights and found the. Combination ideal for comfort and moisture management.

I was nervous using a quilt in cold weather, but this true 15oz quilt proved its worth. I backpacked up and over Mt. Harvard and Mt Bedford, CO in Sept. The temp in the evening was solid 32, and I was never cold. I also used the Therma Rest xtherm max 7. 3R pad. The draft collar works great, along the neck and on the sides. The quirks are that the straps are a balance between preserving overall lightweight, but comprising slightly on keeping the sides closed to drafts, I wish they would allow the sides to be pulled in more. The other quirk is that the tab to keep the top closed around your neck is also a bit weak at times.
