This is my first TM wedge, but thought I would give it a try. Coming from Vokey wedges, the feel is completely different but in a good way. I have never played a high bounce in a 60 before now, but the grind and bounce of this wedge seems to be absolutely perfect. I have hit some of the best chip shots in recent memory with this club. The raw face reduces glare which is nice, but we 'll see how it holds up over time. As of now- I 'm very happy and wo n't go back to any other wedge.

Took me about 5- 10 min to figure out and then I started sticking shots to 5 ft from 45 yards( off grass, still figuring out the sand). Needless to say, I am very happy. Might have to get the 60 degree as well. Also, the grip at the store feels slick due to a powdery coating, but as soon as you wipe it down the grip is really good. These have to be the most forgiving wedges on the market and that ’s why I have the 54, 58 and 60 degree Hi- Toe wedges! Even when you don ’ t hit the ball quite right, they have tremendous spin from the entire face of the club and reward you with better shots than any other wedge I ’ ve ever tried. Maybe that ’s not as important for a scratch golfer but unfortunately that ’s not anywhere near my handicap! My reality is that these wedges make a much bigger difference for my game than my expensive driver because they ’ re used a lot more often and my short game saves me from all the times I screw up with the driver.

It was time to replace my Ping Glide wedges and bought this in 54 degrees for sand and the C grind in 58 degrees for the fairway. Well, the Eye2 certainly does glide through the sand well even without opening the face, but it's equally good from just about every lie. So good, in fact, that I 've barely used my 58 at all. I 'm a 10 handicapper whose major weakness is around the greens. This club just gives me so much confidence from 50 yards in. The sound and feel on well struck full shots are perfect, as is the spin. Do n't let the goofy looks put you off. Give it a try.

Only have Ping in my bag. Had the Glide 4. 0's in 52, 56 and 60. When I went from the i525's to the i530's I needed stronger wedges, hence. the 50, 54 and 58 in the s159 now. Went looking for irons and ended up with Pindriver, irons and s159 wedges. Extremely happy with all of the clubs but the wedges are an absolute standout! When I was fitted for these wedges I was getting 2000 RPM more spin. My previous wedges were used but even new never had the stopping power these do! I ’ m an 11 hcp and clearly I miss hit shots sometimes but these wedges always stop very quick. I chip a lot and I ’ ve never seen anything stop out of the rough like these do! So many times I hit a shot thinking “ oh that ’s gon na roll out another 20 ’ only to see it stop within 10 ’. The feel/sound of these when hitting a ball is so nice. Sometimes you can hardly tell you hit a ball they are that good. Plus the customizable grinds is awesome! My 58 is a different grind so I can hit the high soft shots that drop and stop. These wedges are definitely helping lower my scores. Can ’ t see me straying from Ping clubs after this experience.

I got fitted for Munzo T24 and trued the shaft. T24 are the most inconsistent wedges I have ever hit. I then tried Ping S159 56 S. It's a dart thrower with a full swing and very versatile around the green. I will be purchasing different lofts to replace the T24s.

I ’ ve had this club for about a month and have used it for a few practice sessions along with a couple of rounds. I also have a Cleveland CPX and a Calloway JAWS. Speaking as an average golfer I can say that this club can hold its own with the above mentioned clubs. I am a mid handicap golfer who can play “ well ” and over the year have always used a Vokey or Cleveland traditional blade for wedges. If I am in a stretch where I can play more and my handicap is lower, that ’s fine, but these cavity wedges are so much more forgiving. They give me the confidence for those tricky 40- 50 yards partial shots. Unless I magically get more time and drop back below a 10 handicap, I see absolutely no reason to not have a comfort wedge in my hand versus a temperamental tour wedge. The only caveat I will give is that I play in the South where it is wet and soft. I am not sure you would see as big of a forgiveness difference in the West.
