Oh my, I love this product, I practice cleans, deadlifts, etc. and I enjoy my workout in my backyard. Just be careful to drop this on concrete, because it will crack. I drop it on my synthetic grass and I enjoy it.

I purchased this set on price alone, given the cost of other bumper sets. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the bar and finish. The collars are also very good.

Now I can deadlift in my garage knowing I have quality weights so they are not to get ruined

Great bar and weights. Solid set, wish it would have come with 35 lb weights too

I bought these a few weeks ago and love the set. The first bar had a sticky bearing, but Dick's was quick to replace it for me. The new bar spins really smooth, just like their display model. The weights have very little bounce and the clamps feel solid. Heavy, smooth bearings and even cool colors-- what more can you need?

Frequently Asked Questions For Squat Plates

Squat plates are weights specifically designed for strength training exercises, particularly squats. They are typically made from durable materials that can withstand heavy use and are often used in conjunction with barbells or weightlifting equipment. These plates help increase resistance, allowing users to build strength and muscle effectively during their workouts.

Squat plates are often made from materials like rubber, steel, or a combination of both. Rubber plates are popular for their durability and reduced noise during workouts, while steel plates are known for their compact design and ability to fit more weight on a barbell. The choice of material can affect the plate's longevity, performance, and how it interacts with other gym equipment.

Yes, squat plates come in various styles, including standard plates, Olympic plates, and bumper plates. Standard plates typically have a smaller diameter and are used with standard bars, while Olympic plates are larger and designed for Olympic-sized bars. Bumper plates are specifically designed to be dropped from overhead without damaging the floor or the plates themselves, making them ideal for dynamic lifts.

Choosing the right weight for squat plates depends on your fitness level, training goals, and experience with weightlifting. Beginners may start with lighter weights to focus on form and technique, while more experienced lifters can opt for heavier plates to challenge themselves. It's important to gradually increase weight as your strength improves to avoid injury and ensure effective training.

Absolutely! While squat plates are primarily associated with squats, they can also be used for a variety of other exercises, including deadlifts, bench presses, and overhead presses. They can also be utilized for functional training, such as plate carries or core exercises, making them a versatile addition to any strength training regimen.
