I originally went to Dicks to purchase the Ethos 5 post weight plate holder but when I came across this new 6 post version I knew it would be perfect for my space. This plate tree is very well built. The solid yet compact design is a great space saver and it holds my bumper plates with ease. I currently have 460lbs loaded on this rack and it could easily hold more. The casters roll well even while loaded up with plates, and the ability to move the unit around your space is a nice feature that I didn ’ t originally think was a must have item for me, but now that I have it, I would never go back to a non- rollable rack. It is incredibly convenient. The packaging was decent, but could probably be improved upon. They do make use of styrofoam and foam sleeves, but the contents inside the package were able to shift around some. I found one or two very small scratches on the base of my rack which isn ’ t a big deal for me at all, but I do think the packaging is worth mentioning as it could possibly lead to potential damages during shipping for others. Installation is an absolute breeze. The rack does come with installation instructions, but this can easily be put together without any guidance. Only tools needed are a hex socket and a wrench and the entire rack can be assembled in about 5- 10 minutes. My entire garage gym has been designed around the ability to save space and double utilize the area efficiently. This rack by Ethos was the perfect solution to help me stay organized and minimize the footprint needed to store my weights. Highly recommended!

Sturdy and a neat way to organize your barbells and plates. Easy to setup and a real space saver. Love the finish and feel of the piece, the Allen screws securing the peg sleeves are prone to loosening with use but really not that big of an issue. The included spring clamps are a plus and I 'm also using them to keep the plates secured when using the leg developer attachment on my adjustable bench. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for a space saving plate and barbell rack

I do n't usually review products but I came across this tree that I purchased a few years ago that I still own and decided to do it some justice. Bottom line I love it. It holds an entire Olympic size weight set( 300 lbs) and it has room for extra weights. As described by another reviewer as long as you stack your weights accordingly it will work as intended. For the price you cant go wrong with this one.

I have had this rack for many years. It stores an entire olympic set in a compact footprint. You have to stack the weights on it properly for them all to fit. 45s and 35s at the bottom and the smaller weights up top. The bars are staggered so the whole set will fit.

Assembly of the Marcy Pro Deluxe Smith Cage Home Gym System SM- 7553 was relatively easy. Assembly took about 5- 6 hours completed alone. With help, this time could easily be reduced. 100% of the parts were included and clearly labeled, instructions were easy to follow. I purchased the cage for my teenage boys who want to expand their weight training. This is a perfect machine for beginner to intermediate as if provides a great variety of exercises. The smith machine, set up with stop guards provides a safety component that beginners need.

Pros first Pretty much can do everything, plus I 've been in the gym for many years and now for home this can do anything I want especially using your imagination with some extra equipment. I did at least a month of reaserch and for the money I decided marcy. OK for set up, my 14 year old son and I put this together watching the video in about 7 hours using a couple of real hand wrenches and air ratchet, just make sure the orientation is standing in the rack facing forward and the right side is right. One of my set backs was a couple of my top choices came with weight stacks and at a 2: 1 ratio but I figured for the extra money I 'm going to need a plate and bar set for outside the rack for squats, curls, etc so why spend the money just get a plate set and bar and still be less money. I know this is a 14 gauge steel and others say there are 12 or 10 but this set up is very solid and when weight is on smith machine or outside squat rack or on the attachments it does n't move. definitely reccomend un boxing everything and un packing all the plastic and laying it out before starting and do the bench last. So it was new years eve and my son and I started this before company came over and after about 2 hours in I left him in the garage and at almost midnight he had 3/4 done alone. Hope this helps anyone hesitating on this for home but you will be very satified once completed. Cons second None of these are a deal breaker just my experience with mechanicals. I would of like to see the pulley weight stack bars be a hair shorter almost free floating as when I put the top brace on I noticed the bars kinda bowed a little bit causing them at the bottom to have some resistance without any weight on them. But I sprayed them with a silicone spray several times and seem to be working in better. The bench, great all around attachments, I will say this I definitely put 2 washers on the main pivot point to tighten up the sloppy wobble, that's just me wanting this bench super tight. These are n't really any cons just some of my opinions.
