I fish the Mosquito Lagoon religiously! Lately, the water has been super murky from high winds. That leaves you with three options. Luck, bait that leaves a sent trail, or loud baits. I do n't like to smell like bait, or clean it out of my boat and even though I 'm Irish, my luck is n't that great! This thing will catch some fish! The vibration is intense. I could see the flash through the brown murk and it's durable! O caught at least 10 fish before I had to replace the plastic. I put a gulp shrimp on the spinner and the action got even better. Redfish, trout, snook and even tarpon were hammering this thing. When I got home, I threw one in my pond and caught several bass on it too. It's the best$ 3 I 've ever spent on a lure.

I used to use rage craws, but as we all know, one fish and the craw was toast! Sometimes just a bite would tear the claws off rendering it useless. This is the solution! I use them Texas rigged, for pitching and flipping, and they work GREAT as jig trailers. I bought two packs of these a couple weeks ago-- one bama craw and one black and blue. I had great success fishing them both as jig trailers and texas rigged. They do get torn up easily, but the fish kept hitting them. I had a claw fall off one and caught another five fish on it anyways. Best soft plastic I 've used in a while. I 've been catching large mouth and spotted bass with this lure all winter. The gizzard shad and the sexy shad are my go to colors. Throw it across a rocky point in about 10- 15' of water and slowly crank it across the bottom. Make sure you bounce it off the rocks and hold on. The bass crush it. I will always use the 6XD or the 5XD. Strike King makes the best crank baits i 've ever used.

I have about 20 of these jigs. Where I fish, I lose jigs a lot. This is my best, most affordable option. It also happens to catch fish better for me than bigger jigs. I am totally addicted to these mini- jigs. Sometimes the line- tie is filled with paint, and the paint chips. I have yet to find a jig( at least a mini- jig) that does n't have the `` filled line- tie hole '' issue sometimes, and the chipped paint is n't a huge issue.

I have used this jig on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama, a very deep and extremely clear lake for both spotted and largemouth bass with excellent results.
