These are great duffel bags! I ordered the red, green, and white ones. I ordered the small size, because I just need it for daily trips to the YMCA f and maybe for a day or two trip here or there. It will hold a pair of shoes and a basketball, my swimming gear, and a change of clothes no problem. I use the shoe garage for a basketball and put the shoes on the other side to get the extra room when carrying both. If you are looking to carry a lot more I 'd move up to the medium size which I purchased at first, but it was just to big for my needs. The small is perfect in my opinion. The red and white bags really pop, but that Oregon green really takes the take. The black option looks ok too, but I just like the other 3 colors better.

Bought bag in 2022, has seen pretty rough use overall but maintains its shape and quality for the most part. The stitching of the netting on the sides of the bag are coming undone/fraying a bit but otherwise its in good shape. I love this bag- prob one of the best travel bags i have purchased recently. Fits so much and is easy to maneuver. My only comment is that it shows dirt/scruffing easily…as a checked bag that is to be expected but i would have loved to have it look newer longer. The Nouveau Green looks a little more teal in the photos, more dark green in real life. I wish the piping were n't chartreuse. But it's sturdy, amazing that it can fit in that small pocket, though I doubt I can get it all back in there. Expensive for what it does, but all recycled and Patagonia is a conscientious company. It does fit in the overhead bins, despite being larger than the 40L that is more explicitly aimed at carry- on.

I 'm an archaeologist and just got back from a month in the field in rural southern Ethiopia. [ I purchased the green duffel and it ’s a great looking color. 65L is a good size bag for a week of clothing. The bag is a little thin( I think I expected it to be thicker because it is waterproof), but otherwise should keep water out no problem based on the material used( haven ’ t had to test that yet). Love the external pocket though for anything you need to quickly access outside your bag. Also, to note, the straps aren ’ t detachable.
