I chose this because of the magenta/purple color and love it. While it's marketed as a youth helmet, it can fit a woman's head. I 'm a 5' 4 '' adult woman, and my head size is 55- 56, so within the 50- 57 size. I tend to have a `` hot head, '' but the ventilation on this helmet is excellent, so my hair was n't wet after a 1- hour bike ride. It fits well, is super lightweight and comfortable, and the Roc- Loc fit system allows a perfect fit. My only scare was the Roc- Loc was fully tightened when shipped, so when I first tried it on I thought it was too small. Once we loosened it, it fit well, and then even better once tightened.

[ As is typical of Bell helmets, this is a really good brain crate for road biking. It's light, fits and breathes well, even on the hottest of days, while being fully adjustable to fit with or without a skull cap. About the only thing that it falls short on is the straps are shorter than I 'd like, such that I only have about an inch of strap beyond the buckle and would prefer to see another 1- 2 inches for better adjustability. This seems to be Bell's new norm, after many years where their straps tended to be too long.

This is a cheap and simple way to add some safety to your climbing. I bought this originally to give my parents some peace of mind but after my girlfriend dropped a quickdraw on my noggin I was happy I had it. This is light enough and durable enough to take with you to any crag. Make sure you use it, I forget sometimes.

They 're very comfortable and very adjustable to fit a lot of different head sizes. Great helmet, covers enough to protect my head( I 've had 4 concussions) yet it's not huge, I 'm a small so less is more. I really like the built- in sunglasses however it's really hard to wipe your sweat above the brow and when you blow your nose it sprays inside the lens( LOL). I 'm a triathlete so I 'm on the bike for several hours during a race and it's nice to be able to do those things. Looking forward to my next race where I can get used to it more but I definitely feel well protected in it which is the whole point.

Totally awesome helmet! The Giro Jackson helmet is super lightweight and warm. Even with my large dome I can wear this helmet comfortably for hours. With just a balaclava underneath I felt totally fine at temperatures that would make Jack Frost shiver. Outdoor Tech Chips Headphones also pair nicely with this helmet.

[ There's no such thing as a safe, light, and inexpensive helmet... you ca n't have all three. So, this helmet might not be the most inexpensive but it is a name brand from a trusted retailer( I will not take my chance on other sites where they may try to pass a counterfeit), it is light and comfortable, warm, and looks good. The vents direct air to the inside of my goggles to help with preventing fog. My hand hit the dial on back which loosened the helmet only once by accident. The ratcheting system worked for me with no issues after that at all,... despite what other reviewers said. I 'd recommend it.

I am a beginner climbing popular rock only, no big fall or large rock drop encountered so I have no idea on its protection and durability but it looks really cool so you might climb more and wear it more so.... you might have to buy a new one to substitute. [ I 've been climbing for over 50 years and used/worn a lot of helmets. In the 60's they were really klunky, heavy, thick, and tended to spin on your head falling forward covering your eyes. In the 70's and 80's only beginners, nerds and ice climbers used them.( Real men, etc. etc.) and the `` brain buckets '' had n't changed much... In the 90's as Ice became more popular, the manufacturers took heed, with the Europeans setting the standard. Early 2000's super light foams made the scene in bicycling and climbing helmets as did more and more climbers and screaming whippers so even the Hard Men and Women could justify wearing crash hats. Mammut, in my opinion, has the best defined helmets, they 've dialed the fit, using lots of fine adjustment and upped the game with state of the art even lighter materials, wind tunnel like designs and cool functioning looks. I am still climbing and wearing a Mammut Helmet and also use mine when riding my bike.

What can I say or how do I even begin… As I am writing this review to you Smith Sports Optics on this 3rd week from my accident I was struck from behind by a motorist traveling at 45+mph in the bike- lane that didn ’ t see me because he was negligently on his mobile phone… Currently I ’ m healing/recovering from my injuries of a acetabular fracture, fractured right clavicle& major muscle tears to my left tricep… Carbon Road Bike is completely totalled, Smith helmet is completely totalled but one thing, it saved my life! This is an extremely comfortable and well made helmet. The Ignite design looks great and it is very practical- the vents help regulate heat and still allow for a very aero product. This is my go to helmet for both racing and training rides. 10/10 would recommend the Ignite helmet!

I apparently have a big head( the giro women ’s universal helmet didn ’ t eve fit on my head). I tried on a medium of this helmet in the store and it was perfect, a tiny bit of space and used the adjustable knob to make it tighter. It ’s very lightweight and looks pretty good for a helmet. [ Bought this as I wanted a little beefier dome protection after taking big hit mid- season with my last helmet and needed new one. Chose matte petrol and was happy to see what this color really looks like, a matted darker blue with a very faint iridescence that is really cool, but not flashy. Haven ’ t seen anyone around with this color helmet, as doesn ’ t have two tone color scheme many of the other quantum ’s around. Helmet fits great, 58cm head, and large size has enough room for balaclava I use when colder. Very comfy without looking like bobblehead. ODT Chips audio fits great for sound on mountain and venting is solid. I use Smith I/OX goggs and perfect integration as one might expect... no gaps, no fog, no issues. I have oddly sensitive ears and get pain from standard ear pads on most helmets, but the mod5 has ear cups with a hollow space inside that fit perfectly.
