[ I haven ’ t had this long, so I can ’ t speak to the long- term durability yet. Although, it seems more durable that my last Mammut MIPS helmet because there ’s more plastic covering the foam. I loved the looks of the Mammut helmet, but for the price it was not durable enough( it broke shoving into my pack). This helmet is equally if not more attractive. I didn ’ t know if I ’ d like the chin strap magnet clip on the Petzl helmet, but I like it fine so far.

So, this helmet might not be the most inexpensive but it is a name brand from a trusted retailer( I will not take my chance on other sites where they may try to pass a counterfeit), it is light and comfortable, warm, and looks good. The vents direct air to the inside of my goggles to help with preventing fog. My hand hit the dial on back which loosened the helmet only once by accident. [ Picked this up after I finally realized my old Oakley mod 3 had a few too many bumps and bruises, and I 'm very happy I did. I have oddly sensitive ears and get pain from standard ear pads on most helmets, but the mod5 has ear cups with a hollow space inside that fit perfectly. Helmet has lots of ventilation and does not feel heavy when wearing. Kept me warm on a cold day recently, and with all these vents I 'm sure it 'll be cool in the spring.. I would buy again.

I just had my first skiing experience with a helmet. I ca n't believe I skied for years with no helmet. The Smith Level MIPS is very comfortable and I feel very safe wearing it. The quality is top notch, not to mention it looks good. Unfortunately, my daughter had a bad fall, hitting her head and getting a concussion. She had an inexpensive helmet on with little padding( cheap helmet is still better than no helmet). I will be buying the whole family Smith Levels!

Love this helmet/color. Feels very light weight but supportive. Keeps your head warm but gives the options to vent if needed. Clip is easy to use. Comfortable helmet to wear overall. It will scuff easily. So if traveling with it, use the bag it came with or pack in a suitcase.

[ This is my second Smith Vantage helmet. It has great ventilation, is lightweight and tight, yet comfortable. I like that it has two- zone adjustments for the vents. Most importantly, it is sturdy as had a few encounters with branches and trees.

[ Great design. You can dial in the fit, it ’s not too large, small visor blocks sun well and keeps googles in place when off face. Ventilation switch is very useful and the helmet design prevents goggle fogging which has proven to work. Recommend pairing with smith goggles but not required.

The helmet fit comfortably and follows the size guide. The padding and liner is plenty warm and comfortable. The adjustable vents are nice as long as you can remember which way open and which way is closed.

bad: i 've worn a size L my entire life in smith. for some reason this helmet runs super small and gives me a massive headache. so SIZE UP. it's also a good bit heavier feeling than my previous variance. the great: the helmet is super tech heavy. the venting is great, and the thing just* feels* so much more solid and secure than any helmet i 've ever worn. i hope to never test it out in an accident, but if i do, i feel good about how it will treat me.

I ’ m writing this review as a retire this helmet after two 50+ day seasons and some gnarly smashes. Top notch in every aspect…fit, feel, warm when the vents are closed and cool when they ’ re open and the ear pieces removed. Works well with airpods and the goggle strap is very easy to use with gloves or mitts on. The helmet still works fine, its just seen too many impacts and im replacing it with another
