I have oddly sensitive ears and get pain from standard ear pads on most helmets, but the mod5 has ear cups with a hollow space inside that fit perfectly. [ This thing looks great, is easily adjustable, nice and warm and true to size. I have a `` medium '' sized head( when wearing adjustable trucker hats I snap over 3- 4 holes) but I went with the large since I ride with a beanie about half the time. Without a beanie it is on about it's tightest setting and fits perfect. I have fallen on this thing twice both times very rough falls. I fell so hard the first time I would have had a SEVERE concussion if not wearing a helmet. No cracks or anything and the helmet handled it just fine. Back to the slopes I go!

I just had my first skiing experience with a helmet. I ca n't believe I skied for years with no helmet. The Smith Level MIPS is very comfortable and I feel very safe wearing it. The quality is top notch, not to mention it looks good. Unfortunately, my daughter had a bad fall, hitting her head and getting a concussion. She had an inexpensive helmet on with little padding( cheap helmet is still better than no helmet). I will be buying the whole family Smith Levels!

[ Perfect fit, very comfortable, warm, great ventilation and love the magnetic clasp. Several people have noted that it is a little heavier but I do not notice it being any heavier than my previous helmet also a Smith. My Oakley goggles fit perfectly with the helmet. Highly recommend this helmet.
