This summer I ran some errands by bike and really enjoyed it. When i mentioned doing this to a coworker they said they would be afraid to because they did not have a helmet. Now I needed a helmet for a Onewheel hoverboard I recently purchased and was pleased to notice that this helmet is completely convertible to a skate/BMX helmet. The insulation for cold environments was removable, I found 2 adjustment( 1 on each side) to make a tighter fit, even the clip in the back is removable. [ Got this for my daughter who is just starting to pick up sports. She wanted something other than the dull dark blue school helmets and this one did the trick. It's sharp- looking and fits her needs. The most important part as far as I 'm concerned is the protection. The pads inside give her plenty of cushion and protection from impacts and the entire helmet seems to be very strong and sturdy. The face mask seems to do what it needs to do, it's nice becuase it's thin so it does n't get in the way but it's strong enough to stop that ball. Overall very satisfied with this product and my daughter is too, I would highly recommend it.

[ Over the last 12 months, when it comes to mountain biking, I have completely gone over the deep end. I love riding everywhere I can in my home state, Minnesota, and I have traveled to four other states to ride as well. I do n't race and I consider myself an intermediate rider, but I am willing to push myself to get better and try new terrain/features. With the above in mind, I figured why wait until I knocked my teeth out or broke my jaw to get a full- face helmet?! So, I dug in and did my research and settled on the Super DH MIPS Helmet. And, I am glad I did!... I just returned from a trip to Bentonville and had a nasty crash on a gap jump I missed. While the helmet did n't prevent me from shattering my collarbone( surgically repaired with 10 pins and a titanium plate), my melon was completely protected and unharmed from my OTB and trail bouncing. In fact, the helmet is no worse for the wear and ready for more action. Why did I chose the Super DH MIPS Helmet? 1) Tons of venting and a super comfy fit( Yes, your head will still get a bit warmer than having no face- guard. But, it's not as bad as many people say.). In fact, I wore it both climbing and descending, as well as on the features I road( I love skinnies). 2) Quick and easy removal of the face- guard( But, it defeats the purpose of having it... it's for unplanned accidents.). 3) Great visibility and glasses or goggles fit it perfectly( I wear slightly larger sunglasses, googles seem like overkill for my riding purposes). 4) DH rated and MIPS technology — Why go full- face if it is n't rated for the most extreme riding you may experience?! 5) Bell history and quality.

[ I bought this to replace my very old, non- MIPS Super 2r and am very happy with it. It ventilates similarly well and feels much more sturdy than the old Super. The fidlock strap is really convenient and it's very comfortable as well.

[ Comfy, good looking, solid build, definitely offers more protection than the bell super air convertible I was using previously. Much more versatile and in full face mode feels( nearly) as solid as dedicated full face I have.

[ Helmet is overall good, but the chin bar is hard to remove and reinstall. It takes a lot of effort to remove the bar and reinstallation takes a lot of alignment and adjusting to get it done right.

I have been skiing many times is multiple resorts. I am an intermediate skier. I prefer the fun greens/ blues. I can ski black diamonds, but honestly I prefer the ease of skiing rather than the competitiveness. I was skiing an easy run. The run was narrower surrounded with beautiful trees and cabins. I noticed a skied off area where there was a ton of noticeable ice. I attempted to move to the right to avoid most of the icy snow. I did hit a patch, which increased my speed. It was Ll fine but right after the ice patch was a mogul, followed by another larger mogul. After having the speed from the ice hitting that first unexpected mogul sent me in a non- controlled tumble. After hitting the second mogul, I was airborne. My head broke my fall. I remember my head hitting and bouncing back. My husband was right behind me, so I loved right away. I was okay and able to ski home. I made skied away without a concussion, or even worse. I did get whiplash, but no lasting effects. I am a walking advertisement for this life saving helmet. I literally own my life to Smith ski helmets. I am BEYOND grateful for your technology, and safety features. I can not thank you enough. If you ’ re reading this thinking of purchasing a helmet. Do not think twice. It may safe your life too.

For those with a larger round shaped head, this helmet fits like a glove. Was a bit skeptical on how the boa system would work but it works great. Overall, definetly would recommend this helmet.

The new MIPS Air Node system is very neat, hopefully I don ’ t test that out any time soon, and the Boa system for adjusting fit works very smoothly, and drops back into the helmet for transport and placing on tables. [ As is typical of Bell helmets, this is a really good brain crate for road biking. It's light, fits and breathes well, even on the hottest of days, while being fully adjustable to fit with or without a skull cap. About the only thing that it falls short on is the straps are shorter than I 'd like, such that I only have about an inch of strap beyond the buckle and would prefer to see another 1- 2 inches for better adjustability. This seems to be Bell's new norm, after many years where their straps tended to be too long.

Our 3rd Evo Shield helmet. Well constructed, good padding which has held up, and my DD has found comfortable. Historically had run a little big for her and had to keep the chin strap on it, which she did n't like. With the new sizing models now though the fit is much better.
