Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

These shoes fit true to size and are amazingly comfortable. They are soft and squishy enough to survive 10- hour days working on concrete but also rock solid on runs and in the gym. When running, you 'll feel them propel you forward for the next step. I 'm also a bit of wide footer and these have plenty of room in the forefoot/toe area for me. Great shoes! My only complaint was a small part of the toe cap started to peel up after a few months of wearing them, but I was able to carefully super glue it back into place.

After many unsatisfying purchases and many returns, I have found the exact shoe I have been looking for, for use in long distance walking. It is very difficult to find a shoe that has lots of cushion* and* a more minimalist arch support( I have found that Hoka and even Altra just have too much arch support, which is uncomfortable if you have a flatter foot and/or do n't want or need arch support). The only thing I did n't like was the un- cushioned tongue, which was pressing a bit too much into my front ankle tendons. I solved this problem by using scissors to cut a small slit in each tongue to relieve that pressure( see photo). Now they are perfect! I will be buying these again.

I sincerely hope that Vasque does n't discontinue the Breeze LT GTX. I 've had a pair of clunkier Vasque's and a pair of Merrell's and these outperform both hands down. I 've worn these in the winter with a thicker pair of socks and in the summer with a thinner pair of socks over the last year of having them and they hold up great in both( although not designed as a winter/snow boot). Hiking summers in Boise desert heat is hard, and these have not once given me a blister, been uncomfortable, or made me question my footing. Everything about them is phenomenal! I recommend them to all of my friends and will continue to buy more pairs. Now I just want more color options please!:)

I bought these for a photography trip to Iceland. As with all my Vasque boots, they fit right out of the box. I hiked on rocky hills and through streams and wet sand beaches and they were a dream. Fully waterproof and comfortable after 12 hour days. Loved they were so much lighter than other hiking boots. Tread on bottom gave sure footing on wet rocks. I couldn ’ t have asked for more!

[ I 've only done about 20 miles in these boots so far, but am VERY happy with them! I read reviews all over the place and decided to follow the advice of ordering a half size up, I will always have to wear a thick sock with them but feel it was still the right way to go. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about the `` strange arch support '' mentioned by many. I was worried it was going to be similar to Chacos, which I cant wear because of the large arch support, however it's not like that at all and gives more support under your heal( not sure how to best explain this(:) and I find it very comfortable. These seemed pretty stiff at first but after one 5 mile hike they loosened up and feel very similar to a tennis shoe. I do have to mention that the heal box is oddly large, this does n't seem to be an issue for me, but thought I would mention it incase it would be helpful to someone else. All in all I would say if your on the fence about these you should just go for it!

Use them as hiking and backpacking shoes, 3- 4 days of light use to break them in, than a 3 day backpacking trip with substantial load, few days later a SAR trip, and a day hike. Great shoes. No hot spots, great room for my wide feet and toes and nice support. I usually wear boots with my heavy pack so was pleasantly surprised. Seem little tight first through the middle of my feet first, especially around the top, but went away after couple days of light wear. Only issue is the loop on the back. Could be slightly bigger to allow a finger to go through, would allow shoes to be put on a lot easier.

I use them mainly for work but am on concrete and dirt both a lot. I have a couple of pairs of the Timp 4 and love them. I have custom orthotics that fit well. I have been running for 56 years. I have seen the development of all shoes from all brands. For me, the Timp 5 is one of the best shoes I have ever used. It just feels like running. It feels like hitting the trails. I know other runners have had issues with the Timp series, but for me, this is just an excellent shoe.

Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. Grab the loops at the top and back to slip on more easily. The laces did dig into the top of my feet, but problem solved with a Lydiard- style lacing( see photo).

Not perfect but the best racing supershoe that I ’ ve used among VF2, VF3, adizero adios, AF3. Just received VF4s but yet to run in them. My first run in these AF3s was a shakeout before a half marathon. Was concerned as the shoes squeaked for about 2. 5 miles but that finally subsided. Have run 2 half marathons in these- each time was PR by 4 minutes. Best thing for me is the low volume toe box. I have narrow, low volume feet. The VF3s are way too baggy in the toe box for me. I 'm glad I took the risk because though I do find it helps to make use of a shoe horn to ease putting them on, with thin running socks they fit just right! Snug but not too tight. I have arthritic knees, and these have the perfect combination of cushion and stability for walking on a variety of terrain, from light hiking trails to gravel to sidewalk. Bought these as my first spikes, and I have to say that the quality is amazing. The upper is of fantastic breathability and comfort, although I must say that the tongue is paper thin. If you ask me, it's probably meant as a measure to keep the weight down. The midsole looks to be a supercritically foamed PEBA& EVA formulation of Fuelcell. It is particularly remarkable that this spike has even a morsel of PEBA, considering the price point it is set at. The bright sort of teal colors are very nice in reality, more so than online. I particularly noticed the sheer rubber coverage that NB was able to manage while still being light as a feather. Great spike in almost every area and I 100% would recommend. Thanks, New Balance!

Boot wearer
These have been my everyday wear for 8 months, and i couldnt have asked for a better pair of boots. Great fit, comfort, traction, and more durable than I expected. I work in Construction and wear them everyday, I also wear them while hiking, fishing, and hunting. I would say i am on my feet and wearing these boots for 15+ hours a day. I would definitely recommend this boot.

I purchase these hikers for a trip to Caprock Canyons in Texas, and they did not disappoint. Hiked a really tough terrain for over 8 miles, and these were comfortable the entire time. I have another popular brand of hikers, that I do like as well, however, these did not make my feet sweat like my others do, and they were not as heavy as my others, so due to that fact, I love these Salomon X Ultta 360 hikers. The toe box is wide, the build is great. Highly recommend.
