Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

These shoes fit true to size and are amazingly comfortable. They are soft and squishy enough to survive 10- hour days working on concrete but also rock solid on runs and in the gym. When running, you 'll feel them propel you forward for the next step. I 'm also a bit of wide footer and these have plenty of room in the forefoot/toe area for me. Great shoes! My only complaint was a small part of the toe cap started to peel up after a few months of wearing them, but I was able to carefully super glue it back into place.

Use them as hiking and backpacking shoes, 3- 4 days of light use to break them in, than a 3 day backpacking trip with substantial load, few days later a SAR trip, and a day hike. Great shoes. No hot spots, great room for my wide feet and toes and nice support. I usually wear boots with my heavy pack so was pleasantly surprised. Seem little tight first through the middle of my feet first, especially around the top, but went away after couple days of light wear. Only issue is the loop on the back. Could be slightly bigger to allow a finger to go through, would allow shoes to be put on a lot easier.

I use them mainly for work but am on concrete and dirt both a lot. I have a couple of pairs of the Timp 4 and love them. I have custom orthotics that fit well. Part of the reason for this Altra model. I have almost blow out 1 pair of Timp 4s but will wear them until they are dead! Great shoes!!! Great cushion!!!

I have been running for 56 years. I have seen the development of all shoes from all brands. For me, the Timp 5 is one of the best shoes I have ever used. It just feels like running. It feels like hitting the trails. I know other runners have had issues with the Timp series, but for me, this is just an excellent shoe.

Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. Grab the loops at the top and back to slip on more easily. The laces did dig into the top of my feet, but problem solved with a Lydiard- style lacing( see photo).

Not perfect but the best racing supershoe that I ’ ve used among VF2, VF3, adizero adios, AF3. Just received VF4s but yet to run in them. My first run in these AF3s was a shakeout before a half marathon. Was concerned as the shoes squeaked for about 2. 5 miles but that finally subsided. Have run 2 half marathons in these- each time was PR by 4 minutes. Best thing for me is the low volume toe box. I have narrow, low volume feet. The VF3s are way too baggy in the toe box for me. These shoes do “ hoof clop ” loudly like the old tempo next% trainers. Ppl always turning their head as I come up on them🤣

After running in the Torins and getting injured, like a fool I researched after. Knowing I need supporting shoes, I bought the Paradigm 5s and absolutely loved them. Once they wore out I bout the the 6s the foam was too soft and not supportive like the 5s. The 6s were also not responsive like the 5s. I took a gamble on the 7s because I heard they were firmer and they are way better than the 6s. People that started on the 6 probably wo n't like that, but people who started before the 6s and went to Paradigm for support will love them compared to the 6s.

I bought these shoes and I could n't be happier. I have high arches and I had a hard time finding a shoe that were comfortable and supported my feet. Most running shoes have a high heel drop or a lower heal drop and too much cushion and that is not ideal for someone with a high arch and shin splints. These have just enough cushion that they do not bother my shin splints. I like to actually feel the road under my feet.

I needed a pair of non- felt- bottom wading boots for a New Zealand trip and the first pair I ordered were too large. The replacements came quickly, but without enough time to break them in before the trip. Not a problem at all – I put my flyweights on brand new with a pair of neoprene socks and was perfectly comfortable from the get- go, hiking miles through rocky riverbeds, crossing rivers all day long, wet- wading in total comfort. A fantastic product.

I bought these for wet wading. With most wading boots, I really struggle to find something that ’s comfortable for the kinds of miles I hike to a fishing spot, then the duration of my fishing, too. Others either don ’ t offer any support, are too clunky, or too heavy. These have finally solved all my problems!!!! They fit so well and feel like a good pair of hiking boots. The vibram soles are also a game changer. My favorite wading boots to date! For wet wading, I ordered my typical boot size and they fit well with wading socks.

Seem to be waterproof and they are very comfortable. They do not squeak like my last pair of On so that is a big plug! Able to wear them traveling all day and be comfortable but they do make my feet sweat a lot. The green color is nice but impossible to keep clean. There is a mesh layer that dust and trail grime gets into and then you can ’ t get it out. I ’ ve scrubbed and soaked and they never come clean.
