I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

This is my second pair of this shoe. I wore the first pair nearly every day, year round for three years until the soles wore down. Fit perfectly from day 1 and I used them for hiking, ordinary wear around town, and even to a casual restaurant dinner. Got many compliments along the way. I am male, wear a men's size US 6/Euro 39 shoe, and have difficulty finding my size, and a women's size 7. 5 works with this shoe. Asolo was a new brand name for me and I 'm sold on their quality and fit. The waterproof feature is a bonus, especially in winter.

I have had 3 pairs of the Encore Ice 5 over the years, and wear them daily. I keep one pair is for the house as my slippers, and another for short errands. My feet run cold and these are the one shoe with adequate support( unlike Uggs) that keep my feet toasty. They are super comfortable and not only have adequate support, the support is actually terrific. You are walk long distances in them.

I ’ m a hairstylist and on my feet basically 24/7, I actually wear these to work pretty often bc they ’ re so comfortable( with my specialty inserts for super high arches) and they are awesome! I get tons of compliments all the time. They ’ re super light weight and not clunky like most boots. The best thing is that they ’ re warm enough for me to wear to the dog park when it ’s freezing( below zero here in Mn) but also not so hot that I can actually wear them all day at work inside. I had just gotten a free pair of work shoes and within weeks I decided to wear my sorels for work. They have also become my daily shoe. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes because I have flat feet. Arches are my nemesis, however these support my arches perfectly. They may be a little narrow in the toe box for some. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and got them in the same size. They were a little snug in the fore foot, yet quickly loosened up. I got them in black and have gotten lots of compliments.

While they are snug, they are n't uncomfortably snug at all. Fit like a glove with normal socks. I bought my first black and white Kinetic boot several years ago, and they have been my go- to boot for snow and cold weather. This newer model has a wider footbed- which is great for more stability, and an improved sole which is a great redesign as well. My old ones are still going strong, but when this newer model went on sale I could n't resist. I usually order my regular size 7 in Sorel boots, but, as per a previous review, I ordered a half size up to be able to wear thicker socks. These fit great and feel fantastic!

[ I bought these boots after seeing Wirecutter list them as best winter boots... They feel solidly built, yet cushy inside. I have used them a few times and they shed snow and water, and keep my feet pretty warm. The `` speedlacing system '' is a nice perk-- it means( I think) that there is an extra tab that holds the lace on the lower part of the boot tightly, so you can tighten the lower half and it will stay tight while you adjust and tie the upper half.

I bought these boots due to online reviews, and they were on sale, making it a double bonus. They have a thick inner liner that keeps your feet warm but are very snug! I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. My last pair, Sorel, held up for almost 30 years so I 'm hoping these will be my last snow boot purchase! So far they are decent. I would recommend they switch to quick lace hooks, rather than the eyelets.

These boots are a bit heavy but they are very sturdy and the sole feels grippy. Good quality. the inside is comfy and cozy. I love the side zipper for easy on and off. I wear 6- 6. 5 in regular shoes and usually have to size up in winter boots because I wear thicker socks. I got a 6. 5 and it fits perfectly with enough wiggle room even with thick socks. I have n't worn them out yet but they feel warm!
