[ We just got hit pretty much back - to - back by Helene and Milton, and this made a great go - bag to evacuate from the hurricanes! It ’s very well built and easy to carry, there ’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don ’ t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It ’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!

I like the white interior for finding gear and the quality of the bag seems durable overall. The straps themselves aren ’ t the most comfortable when your bag gets heavier but for my portages I ’ m never wearing the pack for much more than an hour between paddles. I would personally prefer a bit of extra bulk and weight if that was the compromise to have a slightly more padded shoulder.

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch - job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I threw a 15 lbs kettle ball in to test it and it does well to distribute that weight. The tension I usually feel on my shoulders was minimal to nonexistent. I have this as a backpack and I love it. I am still in high school and I honestly could n't want a better bag. In my opinion it is a little small for all the stuff I had but not too bad. I love the look of it, the skinny cute bag is so nice and i love the light blue on gray. The side pockets are a bit small for all water bottles but most of the time i do n't have a hard time pushing my bottles in. The wire on the side though makes it hard sometimes but u just have to make sure you press down and not out.

This is such a cool camping/hiking backpack, it has more pockets than I 'd know what to do with. There is a little pocket at the bottom that holds a waterproof cover. It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. I like that the main compartment can unzip to fit a sleeping bag or other bulky items. I have n't used it yet for hiking but it will be great for our next camping trip!

The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. This daypack is a well - rounded minimal travel daypack. One large compartment that is expandable. Folds down flat so it can be packed. Comes with a couple of well placed straps for compression and stability( sternum strap). The bottom is made of a more durable material. It's not too hard to pack and make this backpack stand on its own. Looks great too! Small con: bottle side pockets can be hard to use if pack is full. Maybe stretchy side pockets would work better. I grabbed this with the intention of it being an addition to my bike set up. I was torn between this bag and the Abisko Hike Foldsack but decided upon this one because it rolls up and can easily store on my bike during transit. On my way home with groceries I can unroll it and wo n't have to worry about stuffing everything into my handle bar bag. Overall I am biased to say I love all Fjallraven items and have not purchased anything from them that has let me down.

I bought this bag as an intermediate gym bag for the basics. I found that it has a lot more to offer than that. It is roomy enough for a towel, shoes and a change of clohes. It has an insulated zip up pocket for water bottle and a softly lined pocket for glasses. I will be using this for much more now.

I adore this pack. My mom bought the Ariel 85L for me a few years ago( 2021) for my first guiding job, and it has been my companion ever since. The pockets make it easy for me to stay organized and access a variety of gear while on the trail, and the brain turns into a little day pack. The only negative on the day pack feature is that the straps secure with plastic toggles through loops rather than buckles, so they come out when you are n't wearing the pack. This pack is super durable. I have sat on it, accidently thrown it in a beaver pond, checked it at the airport, and much more, and it has n't ripped or shown much wear yet( knock on wood of course). The water bottle pockets have a holster feature, so you can access your bottles without help and fit notebooks, maps, or fuel bottles in the top part of the pocket. I am a notorious over packer, and I can always fit everything I need and still hike comfortably with this pack. If you like ultra light this might not be your pack, but if you want to hike for a long time while staying organized and comfortable this is a great pack.

[ The Ariel Plus 85 backpack was a game changer for me. I 'm not a `` professional '' backpacker, so packing everything but the `` kitchen sink '' was a desire. Although I wound up not packing that too, I did manage to get everything I needed, and more, into this pack for a 3 night solo trip. An ultralight tent and a 4. 7 '' high sleeping pad were carried on the outside of the pack, while my mummy - style sleeping bag was in the sleeping bag compartment at the bottom of the bag. Other necessary items took up the rest of the space, with room to spare. Not only was there plenty of room in this bag, but it was incredibly comfortable. I 'm humpbacked, so not many backpacks are comfortable for me. With the adjustable torso feature, I was able to get a truly dialed - in fit and was able to hike without discomfort.

Osprey really outdid themselves with this one, thinking of every little detail for organization and packing this pack. Additionally, the suspension is great and carrying over 40% of my body weight, I felt the weight, but not the pack! I like my comfort and I do not like to be cold and I carry food for my dogs, while they carry the water, therefore, I need all of this space. The only detail that osprey does on all of their packs is that sleeping bag divider is not fully removable, just `` '' disconnect - able '' '' so you still have to carry the divider around with you adding weight and it does get in my way. I have never used it since it prevents me from stuffing every solitary nook and cranny of the bag. Also, when the bag is stuffed, I have never been able to successfully open and then re - close the bottom zipper anyway. Same with the side zippers Osprey has on most of its packs. HOWEVER, they surely did get it right with the front zippers on this pack! You can open the entire front and then re - close it even when fully stuffed! Wonderful!!! Also, the side pockets, unlike other Osprey models, really can be used and things added and taken out even when the pack is fully stuffed. I love the front organization pockets and keep things that I need handy like GPS and maps, etc in one and repellent and netting, or if it is a cold, snowy backpack, gloves and hat, in the other.

This pack is so incredibly comfortable you do n't really know you have it on. I am certain I will be able to travel more distance without fatigue with this pack. My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

Great for the price. I 'm a hydration pack fanatic because I use them several times a week. This one is quite good. The good: Really well made and durable materials. It is a really versatile hydration pack that can be used for hiking, cycling, etc. It has some internal pockets in the main compartment that really distributes your stuff and the weight well and keeps the pack well balanced. The back pads are nice and plush. The straps are stout. The external stuff pockets on the side/front are very useful. I like how the waist straps tuck away if you are not using them. Trekking pole straps/compression straps are nice. The pack is really streamlined, fits snug against the body, and is very stable for activity. The stuff that can be improved: The hydration bladder and bite valve are not the best, but they do function decent and for the price it is not a big deal. It would be nice to have some sort of velcro on the large external stuff pocket just to secure your stuff a little.

My son picked this out to carry his lacrosse gear. This is a great backpack with plenty of room. There ’s a separate, zippered compartment on the bottom for his cleats. It also fits a pair of flip flops. The main compartment fits his shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves, and has some extra room for his jersey, small towel, and clean shirt.
