This bag is advertised as a swimming but it works excellent as a gym bag. It has a large open compartment which works great for packing a weightlifting belt, straps, towels, lock and other gym essentials. It has one large front pocket and plenty of side pockets. This bag has many uses. This bag is also built very well and I believe will stand the test of time.

[ I 've used an inflatable pillow for decades, first a 2. 5 '' one that doubled as a seat pad, then a STS 4. 5 '' pad, and finally this one which at 5. 5 '' thick is actually comfortable for my neck. I typically sleep at home with two pillows, and this is just what I needed to be comfortable. The fabric is comfortable on your face and the pillow is silent as you roll over.
5
Jason B.
[ These pillows are fantastic. It is approximately the size of an actual pillow. It is very comfortable. We find that they are perfect when they are not quite completely full of air. We fill them up and then let a little out. We also have the smaller version of this pillow which is also great when weight is a factor. On most trips I will be sacrificing a few ounces and using this pillow. It folds up pretty small and compact. Well worth the money to ensure a great nights sleep. Highly recommended!!

I got the gray one at dicks sporting goods. and i love it already. It fits my Asus gaming laptop that is 17. 8 inches. has room for 4 shirts, 2 jeans, underwear, socks, flannel in the middle pocket. Cables, mouse, gaming controller for the laptop in the front main compartment along with space for a notebook. The 2 smaller front pockets, the one on top fits a back up battery and charger for my phone. and the bottom front pocket fits my thermometer, screwdriver, food thermometer, 3 pens, permanent marker, wallet with the small mesh pocket for a small ibuprofen and some other meds i might need. needless to say, i am ready for anything at any time, weather im going to work for the day. or a weekend business trip. I have this one bag. If i remember, ill try and leave a one year review on how it held up

It's a great backpack, I upgraded from a smaller North Face backpack because it would n't fit my 16 inch MacBook Pro and my 13 inch iPad Pro. I wish that I bought the Router originally from the beginning because e it has great protection( lots of padding) for my devices plus a lot more stuff. Lots of room and extra pockets if necessary. [ We just got hit pretty much back - to - back by Helene and Milton, and this made a great go - bag to evacuate from the hurricanes! It ’s very well built and easy to carry, there ’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don ’ t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It ’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!
5
Curt C.
[ I ’ ve taken it on one back country trip and a few other over nighters, and have found the pack to be great. I like the white interior for finding gear and the quality of the bag seems durable overall. The straps themselves aren ’ t the most comfortable when your bag gets heavier but for my portages I ’ m never wearing the pack for much more than an hour between paddles. I would personally prefer a bit of extra bulk and weight if that was the compromise to have a slightly more padded shoulder.
5
Ross F.
[ As an avid canoeist I ’ m always looking for tough but lightweight gear for canoe tripping. Over the last few years my gear closet has transitioned almost entirely to Sea to Summit gear. Telos tent, Spark 3 sleeping bag, collapsible pots, big river dry backpack, stuff sacks and compression bags and I have been completely satisfied with each and every item. Great job Sea to Summit!

[ I have purchased 2 of these packs, one for me and one for my son. We go camping monthly with our local BSA troop and use them to carry all our gear for each campout. They will also be used for various other camping trips as they are quite adaptable for various needs and capacities. Plenty of storage, plenty of thought was put into the design and the quality is amazing. Their warranty is pretty amazing as well.

I 've had this pack for 4+ years now. I take it on a couple backpacking trips a year on average and some day hikes where I 'm carrying more than normal. It's always fit everything I need. I 've carried a large tandem packraft and paddles with it( alpacka forager). I 've hiked 30 miles of the Kesugi Ridge Trail with it. The most notable use I think was for a caribou hunt I did a couple years ago on the Denali Highway. I packed out a cow caribou including all meat and 4 quarters bone in and the hide with my other knives and day pack type gear 5 miles down a mountain side and back to the parking lot via the trail. Roughly 100lbs. No buckles broke or came undone under tension, no rips, straps worked well to keep the load secure and close to my body. It only creaked and groaned a bit under that load, but otherwise performed well especially for not being a hunting pack. I would buy again!

I 'm a bit of a bag snob& own too many bags that serve a variety of end uses. This is an excellent commuter bag. It really checks all the boxes. The weight distribution is my fave. part of the bag. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch - job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

Was excited to try this bag out from the moment they announced it. Even more excited to use it now that I own it. I threw a 15 lbs kettle ball in to test it and it does well to distribute that weight. The tension I usually feel on my shoulders was minimal to nonexistent. There is so much space to utilize in the bag and even more with its ability to expand. Perfect bag for the gym and for my travel plans

[ Have only taken this pack on one trek so far but it was great. Very comfortable and distributes weight nicely. I love how convient it is to access the inside of the pack with the front pouch. Only complaint is the water bottle pocket - it ’s very difficult to get a 1. 5 liter Nalgene in and out when the pack is full.
5

I did n't understand the significance of a female - specific pack until I got this one - - I had been using a 75L+ unisex/ male pack for 10+ years and it always felt just a little off. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game - changer it was. Originally I was concerned going down in size by 5L, but all the pockets and stash points make up for it. It packs much better than my previous pack and the weight is distributed better and sits on my hips more comfortably. Definitely recommend!
5
Jem J.
Just got this pack as a replacement for my very old and trusted Arial 75. Despite being a guy I got the women's as my last one was a women's and it fit me so well. I am 5' 7 '' '' and 155#. Super comfortable and easy to adjust. I have just used it so far for day backcountry skiing. It easily synched down to a small size and was narrow with no wobble for skiing in the trees. Lots of pockets, I especially like the double pockets in the lid for sorting small stuff.

[ Bought this a few weeks ago for a backpacking trip to Olympic National Park and it ’s been great so far! I ’ m a 5 ’ 9 ” woman with athletic/curvy build. Thoughtful compartments, detachable smaller pack, built in rain cover, and seems pretty lightweight to me. I love the green color of the pack and the neon green color of the rain cover. I use it for work and anytime I need to have my laptop and iPad on me( a lot of the time). I love how the laptop sleeve has a false bottom so when you place the laptop in the backpack it does n't accidentally knock the surface the backpack may be resting on. I use the sleeve next to the laptop sleeve for files, and it has enough space for everything I need without being too big or too small. Comfortable, no worries. I 'm not thinking about having any other backpack - it suits my needs perfectly.

[ This thing is awesome! Super simple and light weight. Pretty water resistant as well. I use it as my go to and have been caught in some pretty good rain storms and it kept everything dry. The back pad does n't hold too much heat and the taller more narrow shape of the pack does n't feel like you have a bunch of stuff. [ Just returned from the BWCA with my Aether 65. This is a nice pack that worked well for a 4 day self supported journey deep in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. Our trip included 5 portages with 3 having quite a bit of undulation. The pack was weighed down with 44lbs of gear and was comfortable( as much as 44lbs of gear can be, definitely dropping some weight on the next trip). I liked it because I typically start trips like this fresh and strong and have my pack set up to that posture with quick( on the fly) adjustments being made as I ’ m flagging from hiking and paddling for hours. Nice pack that is well thought out with all the features you need and none that are useless. Both of my sons were wearing the same pack with zero complaints. Nice product that ’s worth the investment.

Some other bags( Aer SF) have more pockets but filling one pocket takes up space in another, this is not the case with the Base Camp Travel Pack

Great bag. Great size. I bought this bag to replace another 40L bag I had for work and daily use. I was looking for a bag that had plenty of room in a main compartment, while also being able to hold a laptop and smaller items( pens, small tools, notepad). This bag fit the need great. I recently traveled across the country with it and it held up great. The straps and back panel make it comfortable to wear, the roll top makes throwing and grab large items easy, and it did well holding up to a light snow flurry while I was out( though I feel the material would struggle with a heavy soak). I bike commute and found this bag to be useful even to throw a few groceries in on the way home. Overall if you 're looking for a good size do anything bag this is a good fit.

I have this as a backpack and I love it. I am still in high school and I honestly could n't want a better bag. In my opinion it is a little small for all the stuff I had but not too bad. I love the look of it, the skinny cute bag is so nice and i love the light blue on gray. The side pockets are a bit small for all water bottles but most of the time i do n't have a hard time pushing my bottles in. The wire on the side though makes it hard sometimes but u just have to make sure you press down and not out.

I was looking for a backpack that would be big enough to replace a carry on bag, but small enough to carry daily while out exploring when traveling. This is the perfect size. The storage pockets and divided interior makes it easy to stay organized when on the go. I am incredibly happy with this purchase.

[ I haven ’ t used it on a hike yet, but I must say I really like this pack. It seems to be toe perfect size for what I need. I did add some shock cord with cord locks to the top and front daisy chain loops. Just to add some quick storage if needed. It is very comfortable once adjusted to my torso size. I hope to get out on a wi get hike with it soon!

[ My new Kestrel 38 is a replacement for my old Kestrel 38, which I thoroughly wore out, trekking through the Himalayas, Andes, Pyrenees and here at home in the North Cascades. The pack fits perfectly and carries comfortably, not to mention how good looking it is.
5
I originally bought this pack to walk the Camino de Santiago France, 500 miles. But, it was too tall to use as a carry on bag on the airline. I did train with it and walked a lot of miles through mountains, etc.. Very comfortable and well designed. Everything functions well.

I ’ ve taken this backpack to two different 30 day trips. And I have been through every single situation, terrain( minus snow), 10+ flights( a few made made check in bag) camped, hiked, walked through beaches, visited hostels. Hours in airports and this backpack is A beast. I stuff the heck out of this bag. It packs like a 50L. The top most pocket is so big. Can fit a toiletry bag and more. Still looks new, quality is superb. Passport fits perfectly in hip pockets and snacks and earbud case. Very light and comfortable. My bag was roughly 25 - 40 pounds at all times. Perfect for long trips( 10+ days)

** Review of North Face Surge Women's Backpack** I recently purchased the North Face Surge Women's Backpack, and I could n't be more pleased with my choice. The quality of this backpack is outstanding; it feels durable and well - constructed, ensuring it will stand up to daily wear and tear. The backpack is exactly as advertised, with a sleek design that is both stylish and functional. The various compartments and pockets are thoughtfully designed, providing ample storage while keeping everything easily accessible. I was looking for a small backpack that I could use when I walk or bike into town( about a mile) that would be big enough to hold small items I might purchase in addition to my wallet, phone and a bottle of water. This bag is perfect! It ’s lightweight, comfortable, big enough that it has a sleeve to hold an iPad. I used it a lot this summer at my kids ’ baseball games. When they warm up for their game I ’ d go for a walk. I needed something bigger than my Lululemon belt bag to hold an extra layer like a long sleeve shirt. I use this bag all the time!

Great for the price. I 'm a hydration pack fanatic because I use them several times a week. This one is quite good. The good: Really well made and durable materials. It is a really versatile hydration pack that can be used for hiking, cycling, etc. It has some internal pockets in the main compartment that really distributes your stuff and the weight well and keeps the pack well balanced. The back pads are nice and plush. The straps are stout. The external stuff pockets on the side/front are very useful. I like how the waist straps tuck away if you are not using them. Trekking pole straps/compression straps are nice. The pack is really streamlined, fits snug against the body, and is very stable for activity. The stuff that can be improved: The hydration bladder and bite valve are not the best, but they do function decent and for the price it is not a big deal. It would be nice to have some sort of velcro on the large external stuff pocket just to secure your stuff a little.

[ I love this pack! Perfect size for a full day out of summiting or ice climbing. Plenty of room to add gear for whatever conditions the mountain decides to throw at you. You definitely get a perfect fit based on the provided adjustments and the feel if the pack distributes the weight beautifully to not weigh you down so that your energy isn ’ t spent by the weight. The fit is part of you so when you are calculating every move on a ridge thousands of feet up, you don ’ t have to worry about your pack. This pack hits it for me in every way for my mountains, cliffs, frozen waterfall needs and the Mars Orange is awesome! Climb on!

Spent three months backpacking in Europe upon my retirement, at age 65, with this wonderful Osprey backpack! We traveled in all kinds of weather and used all modes of transportation! Also, have been backcountry camping in Canada, California, and Colorado! She still looks new after a busy 10 years on and off the trails! I 've had this pack since 2006. It's been on many adventures with me, from backpacking in Canyonlands to training hikes in Teluride to travel through Taiwan. For several years, I used this bag for grocery shopping and going to the laundry mat, when it was often 70 pounds. It's so comfortable that even fully loaded, I can easily dance while wearing it. This pack has survived bear attacks, rain storms, deserts, baggage handlers, and having its capacity tested endlessly. After 15 years, I 've noticed the first sign of wear - a small tear in a seam. I 'm happy with the longevity of the product, and I 'm heartened that I can send it to Osprey for a professional - level repair for just the cost of one - way shipping. The All Mighty Guarantee is one reason I 'm so loyal to Osprey - they did a fantastic job repairing bear damage, and they quickly sent me a set of replacement buckles after I damaged one of mine. I love how comfortable the hip belt and harness are, partly thanks to the high degree of adjustability. If it every gets lost or stolen, I will happily buy the same bag. I barely notice my bag while I 'm hiking, meanwhile my hiking buddies complain about how uncomfortable their similarly priced non - Osprey packs are, or say how happy they are to get them off. I do n't mind how the weight gets divided on group trips, because I know my pack can handle adding on the tent, carrying more than my share of food, and having a few liters of extra water. If you 're looking for a comfortable bag that you can use in a range of circumstances for decades to come, look no further than the Osprey Ariel.

6/22: had the Sirrus 24 for years. liked it. Compression - fratured lumbar region early spring. Feared hiking days over. stubborn but realistic: Had to carry pack light and high. Wore same clothes daily, hat, pricey poles. Tied jacket around waist, saved pack space for tent, food, water, rain gear, navigation, first aid, sleeping bag n cooking gear. There was other stuff inside bag, but I forget. Was able to carry light even with food. This pack solved my weight fears: helped me keep all under weight, not stressing back. Wore a lot; usually kept inside pack. Used water bladder. Was able to muster the entire CT in 2022. Cons: not able to reach back and grasp water bottles, pockets on belt too small and plastic zippers ceased in cold. Otherwise; really liked.

It does n't get much better than this. Solid bag that has held up to a year on the road getting thrown around and taking a beating. The webbing strap that works with carry - on luggage is a genius move, along with the cloth that is used on the side of the two, YES TWO, exterior mesh pockets to help prevent wear down. [ Compact very good looking hiking/snowboarding bag that have a rain cover attached with nylon cord hidden in a small pocket. Golden and burgundy colors match very nicely and it is very pleasant to look. I can fit everything I need for a day trip like clothing, food, external charger, gloves and etc. It looks very aerodynamic hanging on a back whilst curving snowy slopes. It can be also used for a trail runs as it has hydration pack compartment and hole for a pipe. material looks water repellent and back is covered with mesh and sturdy frame. Overall very versatile mast to have small pack for day adventures.

[ I love it. I gave it a pretty good workout, hiking multiple trails in Arizona over the past 10 days. The magnet connection for the water is brilliant. The pack held plenty and was comfortable to wear.

Love this bag. Fabric is tough, the bottom lining is great when setting the bag down on wet concrete. The bag has the perfect amount of rigidity, holds it's shape well enough that it's not falling all over you when you reach in and stands on it's own even when its not too full but is n't stiff or rough. The soft lined outside pocket on top is so great for sunglasses and smaller things and the bigger pouch pocket has a lot more room than you 'd think. This thing is perfect.

This bagpack is fantastic for keeping your items cold/hot. Everything on the pack is high quality. It's very spacious and when you 're carrying the pack, the weight feels evenly distributed. I took it on an 8 mile hike and the only issue I had was the straps chaffed against my skin. I hike in tank tops so that was a bit of an issue for the bare skin in contact with the straps. The heavier the bag is, the more you 'll feel the chaffing. I have other bags that do n't do this. Other than this minor detail, the bag is fantastic.

The Backroads Cooler Backpack was a great addition for our day hikes. It kept our food cool, did not leak, and had room to hold other items we took along with us for the day.

We purchased this bag before a school trip to DC. It was the perfect size to hold a wallet, small water bottle and rain jacket. The quality is nice and sturdy.

Very nice bag in fun colors! It has two zipper pockets I ’ ll call the main ones the bigger one towards the back has 2 compartments in it. One is padded with a bit of covering. The font pocket has a place for keys. And lots of room for smaller stuff. Then in the strap there ’s a zippered place for your sun glasses. And on top of the pack there ’s 2 stamps that tighten down for water bottles my is 36 oz. Or a tent.
