I 've only wore these a few times but so far I really like them. I may have got a half size too big but they are spacious, flat and proivide lots of room for my toes. The traction on the bottom feels really good as well. I had ordered the low top to see if they would replace my trail glove but unfortunately those ones seem to have a much higher arch support than these mids. These ones are much more neutral. So if you are like me and want a more barefoot feel then these may work even if the low ankle wrapts did not feel good for you. I wear a 10 in some of their shoes and I got a 10. 5 in these.

I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

Where did I take my new shoes? First trip is to Portugal, including beaches, cobblestone streets, hiking on gravel and stone paths. And yes, a bit of water to test the waterproof claim. Warm and dry- but not too warm. They breathe better than past waterproof shoes( including from Merrell) I have had. Fine for wearing all day in the sun. [ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

[ Going with Columbia Sportswear again for my latest walking shoes. I am an avid walker who has not missed hitting 10k+ steps in a day since February 8, 2021. I was very happy with the Granite Trail I just finished burning through. Columbia seems to have stopped making the previous style, but I like these even more. Same great feel, but like the design and color options even more. I have gone through a lot of shoes over the years and Columbia Sports shoes differentiate with their solid construction, comfort and durability —the fit is true to size. Like all my walking shoes, these Columbia shoes are waterproof and they hold up extremely well against the elements. I walk in extreme rain, blizzards, etc. and on a variety of different terrains that have punished the competitor ’s shoes. We ’ ve been doing a lot of yard work and they haven ’ t shown much as far as signs of wear and they do a great job of keeping water out. And they ’ re extremely comfortable which is great when being on your feet and moving around for hours. I already started to see if they ’ re available in any other colors. Definitely wouldn ’ t mind adding more of these to the collection. Great fit and great quality.

[ I got these shoes for running outdoors. As the weather gets cooler and wetter, it ’s very important to have proper footwear that will allow you to get through your exercise comfortably and confidently! This waterproof shoe also allows me to run as long as I want without stopping due to the elements. The shoes are very comfortable overall, I do feel as though they run a tad big, but I don ’ t think I ’ d size down. It honestly just feels a little big in the heel area; my toes were in a good spot in the shoe. I love the reflective piece! It ’s very innovative, looks really cool with that rainbow effect, and keeps me visible/safe if I run when it ’s dark. I like the black/grey colorway but I definitely want to cop these in a lighter color too so I have options as far as outfits go. I ’ d recommend these for any outdoor runners or athletes! They definitely keep my feet dry, as intended.

Recently purchased these for our trip to Iceland. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the mixed reviews but ultimately decided the price at the time was something I couldn ’ t miss out on and was a risk I was willing to take! On our trip, they proved to be waterproof( at least up the ankle of course) and had a great fit. I first broke them in on our trip and they were very comfortable. I ’ ve used them again and again on hiking adventures and just for regular use and they ’ re awesome! I have wide feet and they didn ’ t feel as tight as other reviews have mentioned. I have severe plantar fasciitis and have to switch shoes on the regular. These are part of my rotation and have been great. I like the traction, support and waterproof features. I do find it a bit stiff but not enough to complain about it they need broke in. The fit is roomy not narrow like other brands and true to Keens shape with a wider area by the ball of the foot. Stability is great. The color is perfect love the green ones matches my Oregon Ducks gear.

Great comfort and fit. Most shoes of this type are built for much wider feet. These were near perfect right out of the box. Just a little tightening of the toe box laces and I was ready to go. Needed something black to go with work clothes. Dressy enough in all black. These are just right for my needs. On my feet a fair amount and walking between offices. I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

[ It took forever before I receive the shoe. Due to hurricane that hit the state of Florida all mails was delayed. But I was so excited upon receiving the shoe and was in love on how sleek it looks! It fit prefectly! The cushion is nice and comfortable. It was breathable even for a long run or walks. I tried it on dirt and the grip is amazing. Never had a problem that I might slide as it was slippery every where due to the hurricane. The material used for thus shoe is top notch. I love the color and the support it gives to my foot and legs every time I take a step or stride. Definitely a great shoe to invest in especially foe those who loves to run or walking.

[ I ’ ve been seeking for a pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk in long distance, can maintain its support, and ultimately be my go- to walking shoes for the 1+ hr daily walks with my dog. I ’ m usually splitting my time between three different pairs of shoes for these daily walks- leather Jordans for when it ’s slightly wet outside, rain boots when it ’s really wet, and knitted running shoes for the nicer days in case we want to jog at any point during the walk. Because the Gore- Tex is versatile, it was able to address all three case needs and I have been wearing it every day for the past two weeks since I got them. The inside is not as soft like some other shoes but it ’s also not too hard like walking on the cement directly. There is a slight bounce that gives me comfort in knowing that the shoe is absorbing some shock from my footsteps and when I found myself at the beach with them on, I was pleasantly surprised that water and sand did not seep into the front of shoes like it normally would ’ ve with the knits( mind that I didn ’ t walk into the ocean with them on and am referring to an occasional splash while walking on the shore). As for the design, I thought that the little weather icons on the shoelaces was a cute yet settled detail. I was worried that shoes like this would make my feet look clunky, but it ’s giving more of the contemporary fashion with an edge of construction workwear. Highly recommend them for a daily wear! I have yet to test them in arduous hiking or heavy downpours but my impression is that these will satisfy my daily walking needs longer than most other shoes.

I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

I have had 3 pairs of the Encore Ice 5 over the years, and wear them daily. I keep one pair is for the house as my slippers, and another for short errands. My feet run cold and these are the one shoe with adequate support( unlike Uggs) that keep my feet toasty. Recently purchased these as a light hiker for dog walks on trails. I have a couple of foot issues that require a wider toe box and these delivered. I find them to be comfortable, roomy in the toe box but still snug around the heel to prevent slippage. They also fit my custom orthotics perfectly. [ I needed waterproof trail running shoes for winter runs. I 'm very careful about proper shoe fit and function since my runs typically are about five miles, three days a week. These were very comfy right out of the box! I wore them, with yaktrax cleats, on a 5. 5 mile trail run, 450 foot elevation gain, and mostly snow, slush, mud and mud puddles on top of rocky terrain. The shoes were the best! My feet stayed warm and dry, the shoes felt sturdy and yet allowed my feet to flex for up hill and down hill running; Plenty of space in the toe box. I have relatively wide feet and after reading the reviews, I decided to size up. To be precise, I measure 23cm so technically a 6, and after going up a whole size, I found that they ’ ll be okay to wear with thinner socks( especially once I break them in). If you want to wear chunky socks, I ’ d probably go even bigger.

I got these boots for a trip to Iceland and ordered a half a size up from my normal 8. 5. They were really, really narrow. I then ordered the size up but those were too big and I sent them back. I stuck it out and after a week these boots fit perfectly to my foot and I wear them every day. I ’ m now looking for some Spring/ Summer Sorels I ’ ll be able to wear every day.
