I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

[ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

Had the normal one full day break- in period. This is my third pair and I keep coming back for them. They are rugged and durable and last a little over a year when used roughly for hiking, trail running and slogging through the mud. I compete with these a lot because they keep the water out( unless I go in the streams) and they hold up really well. The soles start to get thinner after 1. 5 years but I have n't found any others that hold up any better and still stay together like these Moab 3's.

Fit perfectly from day 1 and I used them for hiking, ordinary wear around town, and even to a casual restaurant dinner. Got many compliments along the way. I am male, wear a men's size US 6/Euro 39 shoe, and have difficulty finding my size, and a women's size 7. 5 works with this shoe. First, I ’ d like to share how amazing Vasque ’s customer service is. I initially purchased a differed boot that wasn ’ t hardy enough for the type of hiking I do- Vasque allowed me to return the boot immediately! So instead of going back to the brand I was with before( Scarpa) I decided to stick with Vasque and purchased this boot with my refund money. I am so glad I did. These boots really hold up with all the things the white mtns throw at you with little break in needed. I did need to loosely lace the boots and insert a toe box stretcher for my own needs but the boot has now confirmed to my foot. I fully submerged both feet by mistake several times. My feet were kept dry and warm. I felt my ankles were supported and my boots got more comfortable as my hike went on. I think I used the first 10 miles of the boot to break it in- and I just completed a 20 mile, 4 4000k peak hike in the whites. Zero blisters or hot points on my feet. Thank you vasque!!!

[ Only had a couple of days to wear around the house before a hiking trip to Arizona. I have a slightly wide foot and these fit perfectly even with wool socks and without sizing up. We pack light on flights so had to wear these 90% of the time on our 5 day trip and they were impressively comfortable throughout. I even got a compliment in the airport on how stylish they are. Went on 4 hikes of 2+ hours over somewhat rocky terrain with no soreness whatsoever; excellent traction both on smooth boulders and loose, sandy soil. Have also performed well back home in Wisconsin on wet, slippery leaves/mud. Have only been in use for a few months so ca n't comment on longevity, but would purchase again without hesitation.

Just got these and I have n't had a chance to break them in yet, but based on first impressions I 'm very happy with this purchase. I got the sage color and I think they look even better in person. These are SO lightweight I was n't even prepared for that. They are very comfortable on the feet and have enough width to accommodate my wide feet. I 'm excited to get to use them. I 'm not an avid hiker, but I 'm looking to walk more outdoors and these seem like they 'll be perfect for that.

I bought these in- store last month and they are my new favorite everyday shoes. Rugged enough for impromptu visits to the dog park while still lightweight and stylish. My wardrobe was missing a good pair of high- tops to wear with leggings and skinny leg pants so these fit the bill perfectly. I had a slight amount of ankle rubbing on one side when I tried them on but they broke in comfortably after a few days. I ’ m seriously considering buying a backup pair. Can ’ t wait for more colors next season!

Have been wearing Targhee xx's for quite a few years. Obviously, they have worked great for me, and now my wife has a pair. I wear them year- around, on snow, ice, wet leaves, steep hillsides.... They are functionally waterproof- I wear low- profile `` walking shoes ''- not for serious stream crossing, but fine for tall wet crass ''. Only problem has been delamination and eventually leaking. Will see how the model for IV performs- just bought 3 pairs.

I tried on 3 other pairs of Danner boots at the store and the 8. 5 fit right but they had a more generous toe box than the Adrika. So I had to send back my boots. Unfortunately for me the size 9 are out of stock. I hope they will be available again soon. I 'm still without hiking boots. Dona
