I used these for the first time yesterday, and they were outstanding. I spent seven hours wet- wading in Western North Carolina, and they felt more like a pair of slippers than wading shoes. I paired them with SIMMS quick- dry pants, and the combination worked great. My only quibble is the strap adjustment system. You can ’ t really fine- tune the straps while they ’ re on your feet. I had to put them on, take them off, wrestle with the straps, and repeat the process a few times before I got the heel locked in without slipping. Once dialed in, though, they were excellent — easy to slip on and off, and I never had to adjust them again.

I just ordered my 4th pair of these. I love them and have completed several trail events ranging from 1/1 marathon distance to 50k wearing them. I even wore them when I ran the Chicago marathon last October, Honolulu Marathon in December and the Rock and Roll half marathon in Vegas in February- they were great on pavement too. I go through shoes pretty quickly, but these hold up well especially if you ’ re not a wrecking crew with your shoes, which I admit is a good description of me. I highly recommend them.

I have found the perfect shoe for me. I need a fairly good amount of arch support, which these have. They are lightweight yet sturdy. I have worn Brooks for years, but lately find the footbed wears out really fast. The footbed in these feels more substantial, yet still has a good amount of cushion. I am also prone to toe pain and have no issues with these shoes. Wore them walking 11 miles in San Francisco and my feet and legs felt great at the end of the day.

[ I was very impressed when I first tried on the Nike Pegasus 41 GORE- TEX. The fit was a little snug at first but loosened up with wear. Although the shoe is true to size, you may need to up a size if you have wider feet. The shoe is very comfortable and light weight, it felt like I was walking on clouds. The design is simple and thought out as it's waterproof and has good grip. The thick sole provides a lot of cushion and comfort. Even though the sole is thick, the shoe does not feel bulky. It is nice that these shoes are waterproof and have good grip as we are approaching rainy and icy season. I wore these shoes to the gym and it had enough support and grip. What I like about these shoes is that it has a lot of cushion that supports the sole. The only thing I would change about these is to make them a little wider. [ This is my second pair of Trail Pegasus, and I like it more than the first one:) The Pegasus are a staple for any running enthusiast, but I had n't worn a pair of trail shoes until recently, and I 'm sold. The sole has a lot more grip, which makes these shoes truly `` all- terrain '', both for trail runs but also for every day walks. On top of that, these shoes include Gore- Tex material, making them water resistant( no more excuses not to go for a run in light rain!). They are as comfy as their non- trail Pegasus counterparts, and they have a very similar fit. This color combination has quickly become a favorite for their versatility. [ Wow! These are my new go- to workout shoes. I do everything in them and have experienced no problems during my Zumba, cycling, running, and HIIT workouts. They ’ re super spongy, almost like walking on one of those rubber bouncy floors at the playground. The mesh material keeps them airy and lightweight. They don ’ t have much grip on indoor hard floors but they still get the job done. Outdoors they ’ re great and really flex well with the changing terrain. The curved sole in the back has a unique design and allows for a lot more mobility than a flat shoe. It ’s almost like rocking in a rocking chair! I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

I have a hiking/trekking shoe problem( name the brand, I might have 2 pair), and if I had to pick only ONE, to wear every day.. doing every thing.. for eternity... it's got to be this one. Sizing: I 'm an 11. 82, medium. I have the greys size 12 here. Great fit, there 'd be extra room if needed. Toe box remains roomy due to lacing grid, but it's welcomed. Nothing thicker socks/insoles ca n't fix of course if it pleases you. Closest thing to a barefoot shoe that I 've put on and liked. They call this a barefoot and I wo n't put up a fight, but they seem pretty tall( FOR a bf shoe). In any case, it's close, and I do love the grounded feel, but only because the tread is so supportive. Ya know how most shoes are either very technical, or, `` go straight! '' etc etc? These, you 're just kind of, surfing B) What's the Catch?... 1) I 'm aware of some longevity concerns w/ tread, but I 'd imagine the give- or- take goes to the shoe FTW- anything reasonable would be worth it b/c the shoe is that great. 2) I 'd be lying if I was n't a bit concerned about the construction of the eyelets- they give the impression that too many tough yanks will make them angry. Worst case, you can craft some metal loops into the shoes, and gives you a reason to visit w/ your local tailor and share stories:)

Only qualm is that the sole began to separate from the rest of the shoe a little before it really should have, but I partially blame the wet/rocky unforgiving terrain I usually hike in. Very comfortable and good traction on uneven, dirt and gravel surfaces. I would not use them for hiking the AT( which I hike often) lugs aren ’ t deep enough and you ’ d need ankle support for that but great and supportive for light trail runs and gentle inclines.

I am an avid trail hiker and runner. I have completed the AT and the PCT and the South Island of the Te Araroa. The fit, comfort and durability of the Wildhorse shoe are extremely good and the weight is as light as I would want it to be for 30 mile days. A couple suggested improvements would be: 1: a lace band in the lace channel so laces can be tucked, 2) a gaiter clip at the front of tongue to attach a gaiter clip, and 3) a small channel in the middle of the sole for a gaiter bottom strap.

Just breaking in my Montrail Trinity AG Trail Shoes. Out of the box, this shoe checks all the boxes. The seamless mesh upper and overlays bode well for comfort and longevity. After sliding them on, literally, easy entry and hugged my foot( Navic Foot System). It's the little things about this shoe that I appreciate. As an middle aged runner, easy on and easy off is appreciated. The laces are not your typical lace, made with some stretch that again makes for an easy comfortable fit. Nice cushioning on the ankle as well. The Trinity has a 8mm drop with 32mm/24mm stack and form me that worked perfectly. First two runs were in soggy spring conditions with a mix of gravel and single track. The 4mm lugs grip well and gave me confidence on the downhills even on that ever tricky wet Ohio clay. Did n't notice the lugs other than their grip which is complimented by the outsole( Adapt Trax), which is a good thing! The ride was smooth and responsive( Techlite+Dual Density Midsole), you DO N'T get the feeling of riding too high that leads to a loss of stability and performance like I 've felt in other max cushioned shoes. The Trinity has married cushion and performance seamlessly. I was able to glide along on the flats as well as take the sharp turns with confidence then bomb the downhills. I had this slight forward propulsion feeling that is always welcome, that comes from the Tech( Adaptive Guidance Pebex Plate) that also does the job taking on heavier rocks and roots. Bottom line these shoes are exactly what I 've been lookin for in a trail shoe. Looking forward to the next 500 miles in these bad boys!

I bought one of them almost a year ago and I put on them over 1000 miles, and still look great on the top, the bottom is gone so the best shoes for running ever, today I have 5 pair of Montrail shoes, my feet always feel great and I don ’ t have any issue, like knee pain or something else, to me just the perfect running shoes

Fit works well for me even though I have wide feet. Ca n't speak to durability yet, but I think the overlways will keep the upper in good shape for many miles to come!

The waterproofing is great for the slushy winters we get here in the Midwest. I typically wear a 2E shoe, so I was pleasantly surprised when this fit well as a 10. 5M. Took about a week to break in, and once broken in, feels great. The traction is awesome, no worries about slipping on the ice. The shoe makes it easier than a boot to take on and off, but I 'd use a boot to shovel the driveway or walk through heavy/deep snow. This is good for walking on icy roads and driveways. I 'm a big fan of Keen's pragmatic sense of style. The toe cap means I do n't have fear of stubbing my toe. Also, it's a great feature when you kick the tire wells of your car to get the disgusting snow that accumulates that after driving for a while and you wonder if removing this snow actually makes a difference performance wise.( But once it drops it feels satisfying like you actually fixed the car.)
