They ’ re lightweight but have plenty of cushioning to make them comfortable to wear for extended periods and an array of activities. [ I was very impressed when I first tried on the Nike Pegasus 41 GORE- TEX. The fit was a little snug at first but loosened up with wear. Although the shoe is true to size, you may need to up a size if you have wider feet. The shoe is very comfortable and light weight, it felt like I was walking on clouds. [ This is my second pair of Trail Pegasus, and I like it more than the first one:) The Pegasus are a staple for any running enthusiast, but I had n't worn a pair of trail shoes until recently, and I 'm sold. The sole has a lot more grip, which makes these shoes truly `` all- terrain '', both for trail runs but also for every day walks. On top of that, these shoes include Gore- Tex material, making them water resistant( no more excuses not to go for a run in light rain!). They are as comfy as their non- trail Pegasus counterparts, and they have a very similar fit. This color combination has quickly become a favorite for their versatility. I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

These are so comfortable. They feel like your best moccasin, but firmer for walking on cold cement in the winter/fall weather. I got these online last week and wore them on Saturday night. The black Merrill Mid Wrapt Barefoot Hiking Boot is great. I am an avid hiker and have always purchased salmon for their quality and comfort and this is probably the worst shoe I ’ ve ever purchased in all my years. They get so hot on my feet so fast and I can not leave them on for more than a 2- 3 hours with just regular socks. After only a month of wearing these the rubber notches on the bottoms of the shoe just started tearing off and now whenever there are rocks or sticks on the path the bottom of the shoe catches on those things because of the hanging notches so I trip so much. There is little to no ankle support and my shoe laces never ever stayed tied no matter how much I tie them. As a person who has always bought Salomon hiking boots I am extremely disappointed. I literally can ’ t even wear these. I have probably worn these less than 30 times since I bought them a year ago and am just using my old busted up Salomon ’s with holes in them and no tread on the bottom rather than these to hike. What a waste of money. Please do not buy.

Just breaking in my Montrail Trinity AG Trail Shoes. Out of the box, this shoe checks all the boxes. The seamless mesh upper and overlays bode well for comfort and longevity. After sliding them on, literally, easy entry and hugged my foot( Navic Foot System). It's the little things about this shoe that I appreciate. As an middle aged runner, easy on and easy off is appreciated. The laces are not your typical lace, made with some stretch that again makes for an easy comfortable fit. Nice cushioning on the ankle as well. The Trinity has a 8mm drop with 32mm/24mm stack and form me that worked perfectly. First two runs were in soggy spring conditions with a mix of gravel and single track. The 4mm lugs grip well and gave me confidence on the downhills even on that ever tricky wet Ohio clay. Did n't notice the lugs other than their grip which is complimented by the outsole( Adapt Trax), which is a good thing! The ride was smooth and responsive( Techlite+Dual Density Midsole), you DO N'T get the feeling of riding too high that leads to a loss of stability and performance like I 've felt in other max cushioned shoes. The Trinity has married cushion and performance seamlessly. I was able to glide along on the flats as well as take the sharp turns with confidence then bomb the downhills. I had this slight forward propulsion feeling that is always welcome, that comes from the Tech( Adaptive Guidance Pebex Plate) that also does the job taking on heavier rocks and roots. Bottom line these shoes are exactly what I 've been lookin for in a trail shoe. Looking forward to the next 500 miles in these bad boys!

This shoe has become my go to everyday shoe for knocking around or hilly neighborhood hiking. We have a lot of good trails near our house and the streets to get to them have a lot of hills and trees that provide shade and encourage wildlife. These shoes provide a stable and well cushioned platform for older feet with metal repairs and really make walking a lot less about thinking about how my feet feel. I have tried a number of expensive shoes and these are the ones I grab for most of the time.
