I have a hiking/trekking shoe problem( name the brand, I might have 2 pair), and if I had to pick only ONE, to wear every day.. doing every thing.. for eternity... it's got to be this one. Sizing: I 'm an 11. 82, medium. I have the greys size 12 here. Great fit, there 'd be extra room if needed. Toe box remains roomy due to lacing grid, but it's welcomed. Nothing thicker socks/insoles ca n't fix of course if it pleases you. Closest thing to a barefoot shoe that I 've put on and liked. They call this a barefoot and I wo n't put up a fight, but they seem pretty tall( FOR a bf shoe). In any case, it's close, and I do love the grounded feel, but only because the tread is so supportive. Ya know how most shoes are either very technical, or, `` go straight! '' etc etc? These, you 're just kind of, surfing B) What's the Catch?... 1) I 'm aware of some longevity concerns w/ tread, but I 'd imagine the give- or- take goes to the shoe FTW- anything reasonable would be worth it b/c the shoe is that great. 2) I 'd be lying if I was n't a bit concerned about the construction of the eyelets- they give the impression that too many tough yanks will make them angry. Worst case, you can craft some metal loops into the shoes, and gives you a reason to visit w/ your local tailor and share stories:)

This will be very helpful. My foot is 10 inches exactly and this shoe in an 8 1/2 fits it absolutely perfect. I don ’ t have a really narrow foot but it ’s not very wide that you ’ ll have to figure out. The shoe is great pretty waterproof but don ’ t try to keep it submerged, definitely doesn ’ t feel like a barefoot shoe. You do have some soul. It is very thin. I would say extremely light.

Shoes are really attractive and can be worn for casual wear as well as rock scrambling and hiking. Sole was very rigid but became flexible after 2 or 3 climbs. They wrap around you foot like a glove so you feel really secure in them. So far I have not found a surface they slip on. They are very grippy and the sole wraps around to the sides for extra grip and toughness. The toe is square so doesn ’ t squish your feet and you can spread your toes. The outers are very tough and tend to shed dirt. Definitely my favorite minimalist shoe to date. I highly recommend them.

I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I do n't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version... I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.

I used these for the first time yesterday, and they were outstanding. I spent seven hours wet- wading in Western North Carolina, and they felt more like a pair of slippers than wading shoes. I paired them with SIMMS quick- dry pants, and the combination worked great. My only quibble is the strap adjustment system. You can ’ t really fine- tune the straps while they ’ re on your feet. I had to put them on, take them off, wrestle with the straps, and repeat the process a few times before I got the heel locked in without slipping. Once dialed in, though, they were excellent — easy to slip on and off, and I never had to adjust them again.

So when I found out that Nike was coming out with a Roam Winterized version I was super excited to see what the silhouette would look like. These do not disappoint! They have the same great fit and feel of the regular Vomero 5 ’s. Very comfortable and super easy to slide on and go. I really like that the laces just have to be tightened and clipped. The materials would be comparable to almost like a rain coat vibe, allowing the outdoor elements to just slide off. The rubber mudguard adds a rain boot aspect without being an actual boot. I ’ m a big fan of a chunky midsole; and the bright yellow on the sole adds a nice pop of color breaking up the neutrality of this colorway. First of all I don ’ t understand why there is a recommendation for one size up for wide feet since I have wide feet and this fit perfectly maybe for those with extreme wide feet it ’s recommended to go half size up. Second this shoes are extremely comfortable and good looking as well. The upper mesh is breathable and water resistant as far as I heart but I am not going to that that:) all in all I don ’ t see any negative in this shoe. I absolutely loved my blue Duckboots, sadly, to death. After about a year on the job at my work, it is time to replace the best pair of work shoes I 've EVER owned. And while they are still holding up great on the bottom, the tops are starting to get blown out. In fact, after spending nearly 60 hours a week in them for over a year the tread is amazingly intact with little evidence of regular wear. If they were still available in the dark blue I would be happily putting my feet into them again on Monday. I 'm about to purchase my second pair now, not sure about the new style and color changes, but if they are as durable and comfortable as the last pair, I 'm certain I will be happy with them for the next work year.

This is such a dope shoe! I love this design. It looks so stylish and unique. The shoe is super light and incredibly comfortable. I went down a half size for my second pair and theyi 're perfect. I bought my first pair back around 2014( the black and olive ones) and I still wear them all the time throughout the year. So happy I got my hands on the black ones with the gum soles now.
