[ This is my go- to base layer for skiing( or any other outdoor cardio activity... if I ever did one). It 's form fitting and has great mobility. I always use merino fabric as my base layer since it 's' breathable and odor- resistant. This top kept me warm but not overheated in 30 degree weather with a down ski jacket. I prefer to minimize my layers so this top paired with my jacket is all I need in everything but extremely cold or warm skiing weather. I run in the desert up to 96 degrees in these shirts. I wear a medium in other brands but a large in icebreaker tops. The slit in the back makes a nice vent for heat to escape and the shirt flows AWAY from the body which allows for airflow over the skin. The air also flows through this fabric cooling me down and when it is saturated in sweat it still feels cool to the skin. Awesome! Functional and attractive. What more could you want?

[ I bought a size L and my bust measurement is 39. 5 inches( 34H in US bra sizing). I am 5'10 '' and this shirt is perfect in every way except that it 's a little too short in front. The hemline is intentionally scooped so that it 's longer in back and shorter in front. When I raise my arms over my head, the front hem is at my ribcage... so it 's not very gym friendly, better for an activity like running or maybe hiking, although the back vent means I 'd need to apply sunscreen to a rather unreachable part of my back. So this top is probably not going to get as much wear as my other icebreaker t- shirts. It 's a cute design and I like the fabric, but the functionality is a little bit compromised for me.

I have the Abisko wool shirt in the long and short sleeve models. When I had a bad fall in Argentina and broke my arm, I had on the long sleeve version. The arm was badly damaged, but the shirt still looks great. I look forward to wearing it when I get my arm out of the cast. Now I can wear only the ones with short sleeves and REALLY wish they came in other colors.

[ I usually buy mens t- shirts because they are just a bit looser, more room through the shoulders to move and the neckline is a true crew neck. But I took a chance on this womens blend zone knit Tee, and I have mixed feelings. Perhaps I should have ordered a Large rather than Medium, as the shoulders are not as comfortable when riding a bike, lifting weights. As other reviewers have mentioned, the armpits are intentionally large. This is an athletic cut that is supposed to be looser, sort of like a basketball jersey.
