Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

To me the Plus is an improvement over those with better cushioning, especially compared to the 40, but not overboard like the Invincible Run that caused me hamstring problems. I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

Bought these as my first trail running shoes after reading many reviews and settling on a pair that has good comfort/cushioning and is suitable for most types of trails as well as some road running. Tried them on my first 10 mile trail through forest/fields/gravel paths and they were great to run on all kinds of surfaces, including road. Good grip and stability and stayed comfortable throughout the whole run. My feet have been getting a fair battering in recent weeks as I 've been running a lot but I did n't feel these on my feet at all through the whole 10 miles. Very happy with my purchase. I 'm size 7 in all Nike shoes. I always stick with size 7 even when suggested to size up half a size and it always fits me perfectly in all Nike trainers and running shoes. Size 7. 5 always feels too big.

The wide fit Gel- Venture 8 seems to have been designed for my feet. It 's a great fit and has solid traction with a thick tread that does n't make every rock or stick I step on feel like I 'm barefoot. I have 4 pairs in 4 different color combinations. They are the perfect balance between being well constructed, durable, supporting my foot and ankle for good stability and still being lightweight and flexible enough that I feel light on my feet. These are perfect for trail running but also just a great daily wear tennis shoe that wo n't fall apart after a couple months of wearing them.

I have recently started running more, and these shoes are more luxe than I could have imagined. They are my first super shoe. I also run in the Evo SL, and I sized up in this model due to running in heat and fearing my feet would swell a lot during a race. I think I could have actually gone either my normal size or up 1/2. At first, I was nervous to try a shoe with a carbon plated shoe. I had a bad experience with a pair of NB. I race 10K to 15K distances primarily. My weekly mileage is around 45. I absolutely love these shoes! I ’ m prone to getting blisters but that isn ’ t a problem any more with these shoes. They are super lightweight, comfy, cushioned but still give you that bounce from the carbon plate. I feel like my runs are lighter and faster. I font feel any shock when I hit the ground so it feels like walking/running on clouds. I can not recommend these shoes enough! I plan on using these for race day. They are so comfy for longer runs and faster speed runs.

This is my first purchase of On shoes-- I generally buy cheaper shoes but then have to use inserts after about a month to maintain comfort. These were more pricy than I usually buy, but they were on sale, and so far I have zero regrets.- They are very comfortable. I do n't even notice them.- They are lighter colored and I am clumsy; I expected them to be stained within a couple days. I have been pleased to find that dirt/grime/spills wipe off of them easily.- I can be on my feet all day and my feet are n't tired To be honest, the only `` complaint '' I have so far is that the laces do n't stay tied all the time. Sometimes I have to retie them. I can live with that. Also( and this has nothing to do with the shoes) this is the first time I 've ever ordered from Dick 's and they made the ordering and delivery process a pleasure.
