I bought this about 3 weeks ago. I have arthritis in both knees. Treadmill is hard on my knees. So I decided to try this under the desk elliptical. I love it. I use it while watching TV. I don ’ t remember the brand of equipment or I would have purchased it again. This piece of equipment isn ’ t as sturdy as the one I used to have and it ’s not as comfortable. I ’ m still adjusting the seat and resistance. The size is nice, it fits in my small office and it ’s easy to place against a wall. I like the work out videos on YouTube, they are easy to follow. I prefer water rowers to any type of rower. You can fill it as much as you like for a strong or light resistance. I keep mine on the lower end so I can row for 15 minutes. Easy to move you lift up the front and you can push it anywhere with the wheels on the back. I pull it out into the sun and other days I keep it in the garage.

I was a little concerned it would be of poor quality due to the price compared to the others, but if you aren ’ t a peloton groupie and don ’ t need false encouragement tossed at you every five seconds, save some money and get this one. The water resistance is perfect, and once I get stronger the magnetic resistance is going to build on that.( If you do need some false encouragement, there ’s always Apple fitness+) It hooked seamlessly to my phone and the app works perfectly. I 've only been using this for four weeks. The product is sturdy and well constructed. The nylon strap looks and feels like it will provide lasting use. The handle is easy to grip and comfortable in the hands. The seat is comfortable and I 've had no issues with it. I 'm starting out with 30 minute sessions on low level to work on my technique and form and very much like the steady resistance. For older first time users on a rowing machine( I 'm 66), if you have n't already been exercising regularly this will give you a good initial workout at level 1. If you 're like myself and do regularly exercise but have n't used a rowing machine, once you feel comfortable with proper technique and form you 'll be ready to push upwards and this machine has very good resistance settings and built- in programs that will challenge you. Also allows for custom programming. The digital screen is easy to read and simple operations. I 'm very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it!

So far so good. Assembly was a challenge by myself but managed to figure it out with some help from a wall. Have been using for a couple weeks now with no issues. It is a little short for me( 6' 4 '') so might try to figure a way to move the foot rests back a bit to gain a couple extra inches. The biggest problem is getting the pin in( correctly) that holds the two main pieces together. Even in the video the guy does n't have it right the first time, but it is corrected later in the video. Perfect for someone who is just getting into working out but does n't want the stress on joints( ankles, knees) and who may or may not have a great outdoor space to walk daily. Biggest complaint about assembly is that the instructions refer to nuts, bolts, and washers by item numbers( 1) that are slightly different than how they appear on the packaging and( 2) that disappear when you try to open the package. The rowing machine arrived with a gash in the package and the metal shroud around the Magnet was bent. During assembly I was able to bend the shroud back into shape, thus removing the risk of injury during the use of the machine. Once assembled the machine worked smoothly. We assembled it quickly and easily( we are NOT handy people) and it works very well. I 'm a beginner so I ca n't comment on the display- I 'm just trying to burn calories, not race. I like the fact that it's higher than other water rowers because I have lower back issues, so the fact that it's a bit higher, and also that the back/seat is higher than the feet seems to alleviate stress on my lower back. The only `` surprise '' was that it is a bit noisier than other water rowers BUT I think that's because of the tilt of the tank. That said, I think the tilt makes for a better workout because it seems like you 're pulling the propellers through more water( pooled at the bottom of the tank) than you would be with the same amount of water in a flat tank. Frankly, when I tested the flat/level tank it felt `` too easy '' for me. Yes, I know it's about how fast I pull, but I like the additional resistance. It's not so much that it's noisy as that I ca n't watch/listen to anything unless I make it loud. My husband said you barely hear it in the rest of the house. I just wear earbuds so I can listen. One other thing to note: even though you can put an iPad on the lip of the display, you have to be sure to tilt it backwards a bit so the display does n't flop forward from the weight. Last, but not least, you ca n't beat the price( and nominal delivery charge) and availability. It arrived within a few days of ordering it. Great purchase!

Streaming the Olympics, I became fascinated by the sculling events, so thought to look up rowing machines. I had only ever rowed a few times in a canoe. This rowing machine is wonderful! I did not want to give a full star down- rating for only a minor issue, so will leave my rating at 5 stars. The only issue had to do w/the LCD display attachment. There was a one of 4 screws that did not fit properly in the mounting hardware and my display ended up in a crooked position. However, like I said it's only a minor thing and does not at all impact the functionality of the machine. I 'm so glad that I purchased this rower!!!

I got into rowing at my local gym on this same exact rower and loved it. I deceided to buy one for the house( one of my greatest decisions) and tried Concepts and various hydro rowers. They did n't come close as far as comfort and also they did n't have a high enough resistance which I enjoy. The assembly was more complicated than I expected( it took me an hour to get it fully out of the box and assembled), but it was worth it once I got the whole machine together. I was only able to do 2 minutes on it my first time and my thighs had a good burn going! I also felt it in my lats, shoulders, biceps, and my core a bit, just after 2 minutes on it. I like that you can adjust the resistance and the seat easily. I have n't tried the resistance band cables yet, but I 'm looking forward to it to target my inner and outer thighs like it shows in the video. This machine does n't feel like a beginner machine- I work out already, and like I said, after just 2 minutes on resistance 3, I had to take a break and my legs were burning! If you 're a beginner, you may have to work up to being able to be on it for several minutes at a time. It gets your heart pumping, too!
