I ’ ve never been a shorts person( usually wear capri cut tights) but recently I got the idea to try shorts+ long sleeve crop top( sun protection) for summer running. These are phenomenal. The ends don ’ t roll up and the side pocket fits my iPhone 11. I probably could have fit more comfortably in a Small but I like a lot of compression so got XS. Takes some work to squeeze into but I feel secure during my run without being uncomfortable. 5 ’ 3 ” 120lb Only thing I don ’ t like is that the logo on the left leg peels off( might be attributed to how tight the shorts are so they have to stretch a lot).

[ These are my favorite shorts! The sizing does run small, so size down one size, but the sizing has been consistent year after year. The leg openings are wide enough to make the shorts comfortable and the length is flattering without showing your cheeks. I ’ m glad that I ’ ve purchased some of the great colors throughout the years that are no longer offered( pink, orange, macaw blue, collegiate navy, green, and nocturnal). Columbia should always offer black, grey, and navy as staple colors while introducing trending colors each year.

I bought a pair of these shorts at a Columbia outlet and LOVE them SO MUCH. I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ”, 105 lbs, and wear XS. As other reviewers have said, the waistband is a little looser than I typically prefer( and definitely looser than my XS Columbia skorts), but these still fit well, feel great,& look fantastic! It is SUCH a flattering fit, length,& design. I will absolutely purchase more pairs! I ’ m bummed the website is out of XS in some colors. Yes, it would be great if Columbia will take our feedback and make the waistband tighter in future iterations of this item, but you can purchase these with confidence as they are. I rarely find a fit/design I love this much!( And, hey, maybe all my shorts don ’ t have to be so tight... there are days I definitely appreciate a little extra room, as long as it doesn ’ t sacrifice how flattering it looks, and these don ’ t!)

I normally don ’ t write reviews. But these are by far some of the most comfortable and flattering running shorts I ’ ve worn in a long time! I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ” 115lbs and the XS was perfect. Waistband just right, not too tight or loose, and the rise is in- between typical mid- rise and high- rise so I don ’ t feel like I ’ m having to roll them down or pull them up to be flattering. Sitting down they don ’ t bunch up. I went back and bought them in every color. Just buy them for yourself before they sell out!
