This is very well, thick and cozy hooded sweatshirt. I think it would be great for fall and winter outdoor activities like hiking, camping, going to football games, etc. Color is a pretty dusky, medium blue, appropriately named Mountain lake. I 've had mine for a few months and have gotten to wear it a few times. It's been everything I 've ever wanted in a wool sweater; warm, hefty, soft, and cozy.+ It feels solid. I 'm tempted to describe it as `` heavy '', but you really do n't feel any kind if weight when wearing it; it's just closer to feeling like a blanket than a shirt, and this is a good thing+ The wool is soft. It's not as soft as fine merino or alpacca or rabbit fur, but it's far from a scratchy old blanket or shirt. I 'd say it's closest to these soft, cable- knit cotton blankets my grandparents have. I found no irritation with it against my skin.+ It's warm! I first wore it over a t shirt and under my Greenland No. 1 Special Edition( just G- 1000, no insulation) on a brisk 15°F day. It kept me comfortably warm on my walk.+ It looks really nice, nice enough to wear with more proper business clothes.- There is n't much to complain about, besides the depth of the pocket; it's a little shallow( my iPhone 7 sticks out a little) and the button can be a little hard to get open at first. Overall, it's a great sweater, and a go- to for when I 'm trying to beat a brisk winter day.

So, everyone loves a good hoodie, and this might be the perfect shoulder season hoodie. It's been a beautiful spring so far here in the PNW; cold in the mornings, but still kind of chilly in the afternoon. This hoodie is perfect for this weather. It's nice and warm in the morning, but does n't seem to over heat when the sun hits it. A perfect hoodie for around the fire or those early morning inconvenient coffee bike meetups. The only low point of the hoodie is that it's sizing is a little on the smaller side. Fit's a little more like an XL than a XXL Other than that, it might be my new favorite hoodie.

I must say, I never thought I 'd replace my R1 as I 've had two. I took a shot on this because there was no zipper when in Balaclava mode. I live in this now! I am 5'10 '' and 160lbs and medium fits well. It is perfect snug level to fit under a lightweight down jacket and shell ski jacket in CO. It is more snug than I would want for an everyday shirt, which is maybe why some did n't like this? The hood and neck keeps me warm without choking me. It is super comfortable. I would recommend it.

I 've had this for two winters now and it's a great insulating layer. I prefer fleece when active for the breathability. This one is thick enough as an outer when there's no wind. Excellent design, with two chest pockets and a kangaroo/hand warmer pocket. Since it's a pullover, field repair is much simpler than a jacket, since it's usually the zipper. But with this pullover being so well built, probably wo n't be needed until you 've had it a while or put it to very hard use.

Would have given 5- stars, but for fine- toothed zipper catching and jamming after six months( needs bigger zipper), and wrist hem decoupling from sleeve, frequently pulling it over watch( elastic would be an improvement).
