I have several Nano Puff jackets and decided to try the vests. I wear medium in the jackets, but found the small to be a better fit in the vest. It is still roomy enough for a light sweater under and it's is perfect to take the chill of of the fall mornings and evenings in both Colorado and Arizona.

Beckster589
This vest has a nice shape to it that makes it flattering in addition to being functional( a. k. a. oh- so- warm). The quilting pattern is a nice variation from the more basic ones you might find on most pieces like this. And with Patagonia, I know I 'm getting something I can trust to hold up for the long haul!

[ I bought this Nano Puff vest for my 14 year old daughter for Christmas. I loved the Black Friday discount offered too. My daughter loves this vest. She is 5 ft. 8 in. tall and usually wears a small in most tops. The small fits her great. She loves the gray color as it is great for layering with anything and would love this vest in every color! Haha!

[ Exactly what I was looking for! I ’ m bigger but short, so I hate how long jackets are on me when I would get bigger sizes. This fixes all of those issues! Since it ’s cropped it rests right at my hips and I have plenty of room to move around in it. It is a little big on my shoulders but I wouldn ’ t size down to a M. It ’s super comfy and warm, and I love the colors.
5
Bug383
I LOVE this jacket. The fit is spot on and it's very flattering for a slight puffer jacket. I got the light cream color and it's beautiful. Love the color on the inside.

[ This jacket is very fashion forward and warm. I love the unique details, like the wave pattern stitching and the lining. As a 5 ’ 2 ” curvy person, I also love the cropped length. It hits me just at my hips. I found the relaxed fit to be very generous — I wear a medium on most jackets because I have a large bust and larger arms, but the medium was too large and the wrong proportion for my frame. I ended up going with a small

[ I ’ m in surgical menopause& am constantly trying to strike the right balance between being too hot or too cold. This jacket is absolutely perfect. It ’s lightweight enough to e breathable but at the same time the Omni- tech heating feature kept me warm during a hike. Love that it ’s waterproof as well( walked in rain& I was completely dry). The hood is also great- I can wear a winter hat underneath it& it ’s not too loose. Plus the moonbeam color is my favorite color. 10/10 would recommend.

[ Absolutely love my new coat. It ’s perfect for late Fall/Winter/early Spring days. I especially love the waterproof layer, so I ’ ll stay dry at all times here in Washington state. I definitely have some room for an extra layered sweater and I can ’ t wait to travel with my new coat to London!

[ I bought this pair for a backup to a pair I currently use on all my outings in the backcountry where I live. In this part of the country, it can get extreme and in the winter time, we use snowshoes most of the time because of the steep, rugged, and forested area. Flexibility for mobility is necessary for comfortable traveling conditions. The better I feel the farther I can go.

Jamie H.
I bought this jacket before a 5 day backbacking trip in the mountains during late August because of warmth, weight, and compressibility. It was plenty warm enough for cool evenings and at high elevations. But the best feature of this jacket is the hood. The hood fits so well around your face and neck. This has become my favourite layer under my shell for cold winter hikes when its- 20 and the wind is blowing.
5
Bumblebee
Super warm. The hoodie is great and the front flap keeps your chin and lips out of harms way if zipped all the way. You can easily lower it, to your liking, to control warmth. I love this jacket, and it is now my goto for really cold days.

I bought this to go under my Keb rain shell, to turn the Keb into a proper winter coat. It works great! I 'm now comfortable in wet blustery winter weather. And on days when it's cold but dry, this down jacket is great by itself. A total winner! Could n't be happier.

Bought this for my wife for Xmas, and she has worn it every day since! Even in California. She loves it.

LW
I ’ ve had this coat for a few weeks now and I love it. It ’s dreamily warm, looks fantastic and the pack down feature it really going to be great for travel. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. Still thinking it will work as a mid layer when I need it to.

I ordered the small size and the fit/cut is great. Both body and arm length spot on. Elasticized wrists help keep it in place and get the draft out. Enough room for underlayer and not bulky or puffy. material is n't noisy either. I have enough black in my wardrobe so I got the dark green/olive and it goes with everything. Even though it's thinner, it provided enough insulation at 30- 40 deg weather. Great buy.

Rating: ★★★★★( 5/5) I recently purchased the North Face 1996 Retro Jacket, and I could n't be happier with my decision! This jacket has truly exceeded my expectations in terms of warmth and comfort. Even in the coldest weather, I stay incredibly cozy without feeling weighed down. The insulation is top- notch, and the quality of the materials is evident. I love the stylish design, which makes it versatile for both outdoor adventures and casual outings. Plus, the pockets are spacious and practical, perfect for keeping my hands warm or storing essentials. If you ’ re looking for a reliable jacket that combines functionality with style, I highly recommend this jacket. It's worth every penny!

JasFace
[ I bought this jacket because I needed something a little lighter than my full on, white out, blinding blizzard, mid- west 40 below winter coat. It ’s perfect. Long enough to cover below my waist, but not parka length. The hood is great too! The coat is a little fitted but still roomy enough to wear a sweatshirt underneath. So far it ’s been great for cool fall camping nights.
5
ABF10
[ I am usually a small and bought a medium to layer. Perfect. I have large hips and I can zip easily. The arms are a good, long length. This coat breathes so on really cold days, I use it as a mid- layer. I would say it's good on its own above 40 degrees.

Morris1986
[ I got this jacket a month ago and was a bit worried because it was so light weight but I quickly found it was soo warm! I love it for everyday and the quality of Fjallraven continues to impress.

linbrin92
[ The perfect jacket if you ’ re looking for a lightweight, warm jacket. It is not too bulky and keeps me super warm. I am usually a medium and ended up with a large so that I could have many layers on at once. I originally got an XL because of some of the reviews saying that they ran super small but had to exchange it because that was way too big. I hope this helps!

[ All of my wife ’s coats were heavy, dressy- looking coats that weighed a ton. Because of her handicap, and difficulty walking, the heavy coats were a nuisance. I got her this Expedition Hoodie, and she has absolutely fallen in love with it. She was shocked at how something so light, could keep you so warm. Sometimes, when unable to walk, we need to use a transport chair. Sitting in that chair on a cold, windy day, unable to generate heat from walking, this jacket makes all the difference.
$150.00
Keeps me warm on cold winter days. ... Great winter jacket ... Love this lightweight waterproof warm jacket ... Really love the length of the jacket as I wanted a longer coat but not too
5
sofp
I got this for an upcoming trip to Ireland. I am 5' 1 '' and a size 25 waist but I got a size S so I can still wear sweaters underneath. It's so cute and exactly what I was looking for! So far I 've worn it during heavy rain while walking my dog and I stayed completely dry. I like the little flap on the hood so rain does n't get in your face as easily. I like the adjustable waist and hood. I would 've preferred buttons or some other way to secure the front flap as opposed to the velcro but it is n't that big of a deal to me. It feels well made and is warm without making me hot. It does look like a heavier coat because of the insolation but it's pretty light.

[ I bought this jacket for my daughter, who says her favorite thing about it is that it keeps her warm. She added, ``... sometimes a little too warm. '' If you tend to be a person who's naturally on the warmer side, know that the Omni- heat* works*!( I have my own jacket with this feature and love it.) The jacket fits well, and the hood closure, drawstring waist, and Velcro at the sleeves that allow for some customization help improve the fit even more.
5

[ Love the way the jacket fits, love that it ’s water resistant.

[ Love how warm this coat keeps me. It ’s pretty lightweight, exactly what I was looking for. Love how you can pull the strings around the waist to make the coat look a little more stylish. Really love the length of the jacket as I wanted a longer coat but not too long. Keeps me super warm for the cold weather.

After getting through a NYC December/January where conditions ranged from 40F with heavy rain to nearly 10F with strong wind and snow, I can officially say I love this jacket. It ’s very stylish and the warm adjustable hood is a highlight. I prefer the flexibility of having a versatile “ lighter ” jacket that can get through three seasons but this jacket isn ’ t super light. When it got down into the 20s, I just layered with a light insulated vest and the jacket remained effective. I don ’ t understand some of the complaints in other reviews… two- way zippers are always a little more difficult to zip up but with the longer length of the jacket, it ’s well worth it. And no, my arms didn ’ t get cold in the jacket either.

Johnny Matrix
I purchased this jacket to replace a Skogso. I wanted something that was waterproof and with a bit more cover. This jacket is fantastic. I live in the PNW and we have damp `` cold '' weather.( rarely below freezing.) so this jacket is better suited for here the the standard Nuuk Parka.
5
Jacob
The jacket is great! Reviews regarding double zipper, not true. You just need to learn how to zip it:)( or do you still wear shoes with Velcro?:) Zipper is great if you need to unzip jacket from the bottom. Very warm, length is great, hood is adjustable so you can actually see something when walk. Highly recommended! Great product, runs a big larger than other brands.
5
deckhopper
This jacket is super high quality and is warm, waterproof and windproof. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”, 190lbs, athletic build. The Men ’s size medium fits perfect, with room for layers without being too small or too big. It is long below the waist so there is a double zipper to allow you to manuever into your car or a chair without pulling the jacket up to your waist. I removed the faux fur from my hood, it comes off easily with buttons. The fur just wasn ’ t my style. A few people complained about the double zipper, which is plastic( not metal), and is a YKK branded zipper. I ’ ve had no issues with the double zipper. Someone complained about the arm length. There are velcro cuffs so you can control how low you want the cuffs to go. No issues for me there. Bonus: there are two zippered hidden pockets, one on the inside of the main vertical zipper and one on the outside of the zipper. This outside pocket allows you to access items without unzipping the coat. Another bonus: there are two large pockets on the inside of the coat large enough to store ski googles. I happily store my winter scarf in there for when the temperature drops down and the wind picks up. Chest- level hand warmer pockets are comfortable and fantastic for walking or standing in the cold. I wore this coat for a trip in Seattle during the cold and rainy October season and it kept the wind and rain at bay, no wind or water got through. I ’ ve wearing this coat here in Orlando, FL for the cold winter months and have stayed quite warm and cozy! Keep in mind, this is the “ Nuuk Lite Insulated ” version so it ’s perfect for Seattle or Orlando. Fjallraven makes a warmer version called “ Nuuk Insulated ” which is probably more suited to arctic places like snowy parts of Canada or New England. I highly recommend!

[ I bought this in Nov 2020 because I was looking for a lightweight winter jacket that I can wear as my primary jacket. I was worried it would n't be warm enough because it's not down but I can say that for non- active use, you could probably be comfortable in it down to 32 F or so. If you 're outdoors for extended periods of time( e. g. Standing outside for the bus/train, long walks), you might want something a little warmer. But for typical Philly/NYC winters, I think this is great. I also have a Fjallraven parka for when it's colder. If you 're being somewhat active, you could wear this comfortably in even colder temps. It does a good job of insulating the heat you generate from biking, jogging, brisk walking, etc. The fit is perfect for me! I have a long torso for someone my height( 5' 8 '') but it's nice and long, so I 'd guess that if you 're tall and skinny, this jacket would be great. For short torso people, it might feel long. The jacket looks great and feels like a great quality product. I hope to wear it for many years!

[ I bought this jacket a month ago to have something light for dog walks. Its been fantastic and stands up well to wind in chicago. Highly recommend!

[ Really a great jacket. Fjallraven is always a great brand to support. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ” and 190lbs and got a large and it fits great. I did end up sending it back to get the down version for more compressibility and better warmth but if synthetic is what you ’ re looking for, this would be hard to beat!

I like this jacket, I usually wear Large and ordered a Large and it fit as expected. I prefer synthetic insulation over real down because feathers do n't end up everywhere and they tend to be warm enough. I have n't actually tested it in cold weather yet since it's summer here but I 'm confident it will be a warm jacket in cooler weather.

The description is a bit off. This thing is huge! Quite heavy and very bulky. That said, it ’s by far the warmest jacket I own. I love it. Very warm and cozy. Fantastic belay parka for cold weather. The synthetic insulation is a game changer. No more down feathers pocking through. Very lofty and warm.

Chadbro.
LOVE this jacket! I 'm 6' 2 and bought XL for extra movement and layering when snowboarding. Pros: The synthetic fill is the best I 've ever felt, I honestly thought it was down fill. I love that it stays warm and holds its lofty puffiness when in wet snow conditions. My other Sitka down jacket loses its loft quickly in the arms and back when I start perspiring from a morning of hiking or snowboarding. But's it's so soft a cozy. I often just wear a t- shirt or thin base layer under it if I 'm just staring around a camp fire. It's very warm and the hand and chin backings are super soft. Cons: My only complaint is that it does n't have a well placed hood draw string for windy conditions. The single draw string on the hood is more a retention string for side to side movement of your head. And the outer fabric is very delicate, I know its gon na snag and tear on a tree branch one of these days.... I personally wish it was a little bit thicker like on my wife's Expedition down jacket.

This jacket is exactly what I 've been looking for. It's crazy comfortable, perfectly warm and not bulky or cumbersome. Perfect for commuting and walking around the city. It snowed this week here and it kept me so warm.

These are great pants! Just the right amount of lining for me in Chicago winter when it's cold out- keep in mind I generally run warm, but this helps me avoid wearing leggings/long underwear on the real cool days. Zippers are well designed and I like the phone pocket on the right leg. Sizing, for me, seems about right. No complaints whatsoever!

Gizz_n_goots
[ I was really surprised how warm these kept my legs! Wear these over jeans or thermals and have n't been cold at all, and it was- 10 today. Pros: Fit, style and detail is superb! Warm and protective Cons: The fleece lining can get hung up on whatever they 're going over, mainly when taking them off. A minor inconvenience They are very expensive Absolutely worth it for me, I have used them almost everyday this winter and stayed warm without sacrificing any movement, or hearing a constant swishing noise!
$159.00
I would suggest using these for climbing, bc ski or snow shoe because the rise is tall and slim and the pants stay up despite leg movement with no needed

shalomvendetta
Went hiking in the Lake District and discovered my abisko tights were too large. Fortunately, I found a Fjallraven vendor and found these tights, which turned out perfect as I need a bit more insulation. I love the feel of these. They kept me warm on some pretty brutal days. They dry quickly. I am absolutely in love with Fjallraven tights, and these are a new favorite.
5
FjällFox
I think Fjällräven really succeeded it balancing the comfortability of tights with the durability required for trekking in forests. These are a perfect combination of the two- flattering and well fitting tights that hold up to the scuffing and scratching that comes with trekking through a natural environment. They still look brand new after several washes and many many treks. The added warmth is such a nice bonus!

Got this jacket today, looks pretty good! Quality is great! I love those side pockets! I 'm going to use it as everyday mild winter down jacket. The only thing: I see it's mentioned that 6' 1 is size M, but I would consider to choose L. M will fit, but imagine if you will want to put on a sweater under the jacket? It can be really tight.

I bought this at the employee store. The shell feels like it has more texture and feels durable. Those things were obvious. The size is nice and roomy without being too bulky, It fits just right. I ca n't speak of cold winters just yet, but layering this with something under would be enough for me. The color is true to the picture. It has some good pocket verity.( small on the front, regular pockets on the side, and pockets on the inside. This is good jacket overall. Only way they could improve on this jacket is if they went with 700 fill.

[ I bought this to replace a 16 year old 800 fill down coat. This coat is warmer than the old one was. It fits well, lofts well and seems durable. It packs into its pocket for backpacking or cold weather hikes. I 'm happy.

[ I bought this jacket with the upcoming Winter in mind replacing my previous ten years ’ old puffer. I can tell it ’s going to be warm enough for the E coast winter but what really blows my mi d is just how light it is. Whereas I ’ ve always had jackets that encumbered my movements and I ’ d simply got used to that fact, this jacket feels so incredibly light and form fitting that it ’s going to be a new experience for my winters. I love the fact it feels like a light jacket instead of a ‘ winter coat ’ and can ’ t wait to be wearing it daily very soon.

[ This jacket is designed and is so suitable to stuff and pack tightly. The jacket is light and warm enough for a hike with pack. I do n't overheat and with a mild breeze I 'm not effected in the way other lightweight jackets can be. I recommend this for thru- hiking and that extra outer layer of warmth and protection!

[ My body temperature usually runs very warm, however during cold weather this is the only jacket I need. It's light and keeps the heat in. Added bonus that I scored on the eggplant color while on sale!

[ This jacket is great for all occasions. Early mornings, late afternoon walks or in the snow. I live at a higher elevation where the weather changes in a blink of an eye. You will be plenty warm with just a shirt underneath. This jacket is so easy to stow and go, also versatile with what ever outfit you are wearing. Pack it in the pocket and throw it in the truck, you will be glad you did! 5' 9 '' 200 lbs

It's a flattering fit and quality of construction seems great. It's not the warmest down jacket, but that's not what I bought it for and it is great for what it is. Have n't let it get very wet, but it has handled the water associated with melting snow better than regular down

This jacket looks small to begin with, but Mountain Hardware has engineer a lightweight full- warmth down jacket that molds and adapts to the user's body. With a low profile, it feels very insulating without limiting the wearer's range of motion. Even though it is down, a waterproof hard shell easily fits over the StretchDown jacket assuring warmth and dryness even on the wettest days.
5
Science
I am 5 ’ 11 ”, 180 lbs with long arms and an athletic build, and Mountain Hardware is one of the only brands with sleeves that are long enough for me to wear a medium. This jacket is a little tight in the chest, but should be fine with the stretchy material. It is warm and seemingly well made. I like the slim fit because it ’s not bulky and doesn ’ t get caught up and snagged on branches etc. the way baggy jackets can and I can wear it underneath a shell.

I really like this jacket. I had read some views and will comment first on some of the things others did not like- giving my perspective. Then will add some things I myself found I like. This jacket is fitted, especially around the chest. I got a medium and I am 5' 7 '' 160lbs, waist is 32. I actually like this because when I wear it under a shell it is not bulky. The waist is also fitted. I would say you need a trim body type for this work well, or you have to be willing to go a larger size than usual. The hood does not have a way to adjust opening while wearing this jacket alone- other than the quick let's get some cover for some rain or wind. But, under a shell is great. The shape makes it stays in place, and the if the shell is adjustable then you are set. I would not suggest wearing this only for a downpour- must use a shell, but it does take on some moisture without a problem. In terns of temperature my experience is that without activity( e. g. standing outside) this can take the 30s well( unless is very very windy). With some activity it will keep you warm enough in the 20s. The zippers work well and find myself using the top pocket to keep my phone handy and dry. I find myself wearing this very often and is `` dressy '' enough to wear casually around town.

Got this on sale, worth every dollar. The fit is little snug but overall it's good. The material is water resistant/proof, and its very worm. Ordered one for my son after he saw it on me.

I absolutely love my new jacket! Just to be cleared... I loved the previous Mt Hardwear jacket I had, but the zipper broke& your co. stood behind their product& gave me a very generous credit, when they could n't fix the original zipper. THIS is why I shop with Mt Hardwear!... Excellent quality& standing behind your product( when it failed after 12 years of HEAVY use).

I just got this jacket, but by first impressions of use... WOW! This thing is exactly what I wanted. I have a shell for warmer days but had to bundle too many layers to stay warm on those cold days. I run very hot while skiing, I get to the bottom and need to strip or open all my layers to not overheat. This jacket gives you breathability while carrying the insulation that keeps you warm on the chair up. Literally the only thing that could be improved is the size of the armpit ventilation. Like I mentioned above I run hot so I would have enjoyed more airflow when I open the vents. But that tiny detail is the only thing I can find at fault and it's more of a personal preference. Bravo Mountain Hardwear!

This jacket is my go to for fast and light approaches, summit pushes, rainy day runs, the ski resort or around town because of it's clean look. It seriously can handle any weather conditions and is super light so you hardly notice it in your pack or on your back. I love the backpack compatible zippers, but wish there was an extra internal chest pocket. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I used this coat as a great shell layer while climbing the Grand Teton and I would n't wish for anything else! It was perfect!
5
This shell has proven a perfect addition to time in the elements where protection is critical and weight is a factor. I have used this on a several volcano ski missions this past summer and spring. It packs light and provides the summit protection needed when wind is ripping and body temps are dropping. Marmot allotted a good amount of pockets without going overboard and the pit zips provide ventilation that allows you to tune your protection on the move without having to stop to layer up or down. When it comes to rain protection, it's hard to beat Gore. It also vents well for active pursuits.

The softshell material on these trousers is indeed thicker than the standard Keb Agile, and thicker still than standard Kebs. The brushed interior is softer than both Keb variants as well. Additionally, the softshell material runs the entire length of the trousers, and the G- 1000 panels are sewn over top of it; no more chilly knees! The boot hook is back, thankfully. I did have to go one size up from my usual, `` non- improved fit '' size of Keb Agiles. These really hit that sweet spot for winter activities, stoked to put them to the test in the mountains of New Hampshire this winter.

I bought the Keb Agile Winter Trousers in size 34 ” long for winter hiking in the Adirondacks of upstate NY. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 ” 200lbs and they fit beautifully. [ I ’ ve been wearing this jacket for the first time during my Leave No Trace trainer course this weekend. Not only is it stylish, but it ’s warm and comfortable as well. It packs small and is lightweight for backpacking but still lofty enough to keep you warm during those cool mornings and evenings. It ’s also just perfect to keep you at a comfortable temperature during the day wether in a classroom setting or outside doing outdoors stuff. To have a ghost whisperer lined interior on this jacket is genius! It's super warm and insulated, and still compacts down super small.
5
I have been wearing this in the Bay Area in the 40s. Great jacket. Breaths well. Very light. Wind resistant, does fine in drizzle. No experience in really cold or real rain. There are no clinch cords at the bottom, though, and so I need a light vest to fill out the jacket. As for really cold, I was able to put a another layer of ghost whisperer under and, I assume, I am good to go for really cold, too. I should mention that I am a senior and am bundled up when the kids are running by in shorts! Again, this is a really light jacket and feels wonderful to wear. Packs well, too.

[ This jacket is of excellent quality. If you want to keep water out and are going to be in cooler temps I highly recommend it. I am using year- round for cost saving with layers or not. If I had the means I would use this only for colder temperatures which I think is what it was designed for.

I love this coat. It is beautiful, warm, and exactly what I was looking for. I have multiple Fjallraven coats, and this is the only one I have had to size down in( XS instead of a S), as it does run pretty large.
5
Malory
You can immediately feel the quality craftsmanship in this piece as soon as you touch it. When in bitter conditions and needing to hunker down, the inner sections cover my mouth and nose and are soft against my face. For a synthetic piece, I was impressed by how much the insulation reminded me of down. It ’s light and warmed up quickly within moments of me having it on. The massive interior drop pockets are awesome and large enough to effortlessly stash my bulky gloves. The hand pockets are deep, so I don ’ t have to worry about fitting my whole hand inside to warm up if I forget gloves. The stretchy wrist cuffs completely seal out drafts, yet I barely notice they are there. This is my preferred jacket on wet winter days.

I have only had this coat for a few weeks but I have used it in sub zero temperatures, snow and rain. It kept me warm and dry. This jacket is much roomier than your typical hoody jacket from other brands. I can easily wear sweatshirts and other layers underneath if needed. We shall see how it holds up but so far it has been great.

[ I am so in love with this jacket! It is classy and cozy. It allows room for you to even sweat a sweater/hoody underneath and still be comfortable. I love the outer shell jacket alone for rainy and or cool days as it ’s light.
5
Diane
[ The coat runs a tad big and the sleeves are a touch long. This is my only critique! Other than that it ’s a great coat that keeps me warm, but also doesn ’ t make me overheat when it ’s not freezing out.
5
Linbob
[ What a fabulous coat! It's really warm and you can remove the inner coat and presto- a great option when you need less warmth but crave comfort and style. I 'm so in love with this purchase. My Northface puffy coat finally needed replacing- this checked all the boxes!!

[ The North Face Women's Arctic Triclimate Jacket is an excellent investment for anyone who wants to stay warm and dry in the coldest of weather. The outer shell is made from durable, waterproof material that keeps the elements at bay, while the inner layer is insulated with premium goose down for unparalleled warmth. One of the standout features of this jacket is its versatility. The Triclimate design means that it comes with a removable, insulated inner layer that can be worn on its own or zipped into the outer shell for added protection from the elements. This makes it an excellent choice for those who want a jacket that can adapt to changing weather conditions. In terms of style, the North Face Women's Arctic Triclimate Jacket is both practical and fashionable. The sleek, streamlined design is flattering and looks great with a variety of outfits, while the range of available colors means that there is an option to suit every taste. Overall, I would highly recommend the North Face Women's Arctic Triclimate Jacket to anyone who wants a high- quality, versatile, and stylish jacket that will keep them warm and dry in even the harshest of conditions. It's a great investment that is sure to provide years of reliable use and enjoyment.

Great warm winter jacket at a great deal ... The stretch material is great and provides a lot of freedom of movement. ... I do n't know how to describe better than it just feels good to wear
5
SeaFour
[ I really enjoyed the stretch- fit feature, I could actually be active and use my arms without the jacket riding up. Then matte- like finish is fantastic and a lot more subtle than the Ghost Whisperer finish, with a soft yet durable feel. Plenty of pockets for everything you 'd need to stash away and the chest pocket fits a rather large cellphone, I use the Galaxy S8+ with an OtterBox case so this should fit pretty much any phone on the market. I have yet to be in freezing temps but at low 40s with wind the StretchDown jacket kept me very arm, the seam welded baffles do their job. I would absolutely recommend this jacket after reviewing the Ghost Whisperer as well as options from Patagonia and Arc'teryx I decided to buy the Mountain Hardwear StretchDown Jacket and I do not regret my decision.

[ Super warm and light, this jacket is my go to in cool weather and pairs well with a shell when it's really nasty out.

[ I bought this jacket online with size large and color zinc. It is so amazing it keeps you completely warm in even in 16F. I love the full neck covering design and it ’s water repellent technology is amazing. I poured a glass of water on the hands and no wetting at all. Zinc color is also extraordinary. Love this product.

SierraWhiskey
[ This is my favorite jacket. I probably wear it more often than I should, to be entirely honest. It's just so darn versatile, though, that I find myself grabbing this jacket in nearly any situation. The fit is perfect and the angled baffles look great on anyone. The baffles themselves are much more firm than most puffy jackets, which just feels fantastic every time you throw it on. The material is durable, and the range of motion is completely non- restricting. Interestingly, I was especially impressed by the way this jacket feels when moving between being outside/inside. I 've ridden my bicycle outside and felt toasty warm while wearing this well below 30 degrees+ windchill, but then when I go inside at 70 degrees it still feels comfortable enough that I do n't need to take it off. I think everyone should have a Stretchdown. Mine has completely changed the way I think about down jackets.

I received my men's small Ghost Whispered 2 vest today. Weight is 5. 1oz. It's the same fine quality of my Ghost Whisperer 2 sweater that weighs 8. 0 oz. They are roomy enough for layers under and the most packable layers that I own. Kudos to MH for a home run.

ATLJ
Keeps me warm in the 30s easily with just a normal shirt and a sweater. With real layers I have been able to walk approx 30 minutes round trip in the low 20s and strong winds. It ’s very warm and also gives you that psychological warmth boost of a fat, cozy puffer. The length is just right if you need a big outermost layer but don ’ t want a full parka length. I am normally between S and M for most things and a S easily fits me even with a chunky sweater. The two internal mesh pockets are clutch.
5
J Dawg
Super warm and comfy. Runs just slightly big. I like it that way though. Love mine. Highly recommend

BJ123
Probably the highest quality item I own. The cut, the craftsmanship, everything feels premium to me. Have n't had the chance to really test it l, but I wore it outside on a 20 degree day with a t shirt and it was toasty. I 'd probably recommend it for dark days below 20 degrees. It does runs true to size; I 'm 6', 42- 44 '' chest and it fits me perfectly. The hood adjustment it spot on, the pockets are great and plentiful. The down loft is perfect. I definitely recommend a parka like this one.

I bought a men ’s size medium because I like the colors better than the women ’s, so it is a little big but I love it. Perfect for spring weather and looks great!

I bought these pants on a whim and have gotten a ton of use out of them during this chilly Utah winter. I work in sports and often have to look semiprofessional standing on the sidelines in the cold, used them walking the dog, Nordic skiing, and around town! The length is great at 5 10 I ordered the long. The stretch out a little bit after a day of wear but the waist is high enough that have not had any slipping. Highly recommended, I love these pants!!

I am so excited to have found these pants, they 're absolutely perfect for winter trekking and hikes. They are very comfortable and allow for a lot of movement while being durable enough to withstand scapes and such through small brush and rocks and branches. They look well tailored and sleek, and are definitely nice enough to stop somewhere and have a nice lunch in them without looking out of place. The brushed interior is warm on its own, and I have also worn them over the Bergtagen Thinwool Long Johns in- 15 with heavy wind gusts without feeling cold. I 'm 172cm and 52kg and ordered a size 36( EU) with long inseam and they are a fantastic fit.

I ’ ve had the same winter jacket forever, it was time to upgrade. I liked this style a lot when browsing so I pulled the trigger( got the green color). Picked it up in store and haven ’ t stopped loving this thing since walking out of the store. When I initially got it I thought it was going to be way too thin but I was pleasantly surprised. The inner shell works amazing and it cuffs off your hands, pretty cool, def keeps warmth in. I ’ m not a hood guy but it has a great hood in case of rain. I ’ m actually waiting for bad weather to come so I can test it out more. But so far 5 stars! I wear a medium and decided to try it, fits well with other fleeces and such with the same size. Very happy with that.

[ `` I 've been wearing this Columbia jacket daily since the start of Minnesota's brutal winter, and it has become my absolute go- to. During a recent- 9°F hike, I was amazed at how warm I stayed. The jacket's insulation is top- notch, and the waterproof exterior kept me dry during a sudden snow squall. The roomy fit accommodates my layers comfortably, and the multiple pockets are perfect for my phone, gloves, and other essentials. I 've tried other brands, but none have matched the warmth, comfort, and durability of this Columbia jacket. If you live in a cold climate, this is a must- have. ''

[ I surprised my husband with this jacket and he absolutely loves it. I was happy to find a great selection in his size. It checked all his boxes. It has a hood without fur. It's a perfect fit. It's not bulky. It's nice and warm however very lightweight. We could n't be happier with this jacket.

[ I love this coat! I tested it out in our recent, cold( single digit) and windy weather and it is really warm. I especially like the high collar and length( a few inches below my knees: I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ”). Roomy, so you can buy your usual size and layer up. Not as stodgy looking as some other longer down coats. Highly recommend!

[ I needed a longer winter coat that I can move and walk in. This one is perfect. Comes down to upper calf( I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ”) and unzips from the bottom for hills. The coat is lightweight including the shell so it ’s not for standing still in a blizzard, but ideal for** city** commuting and longer walks. The whole collar and hood are so squishy and cozy, but slippery so they don ’ t make your hair wild and electrified. Great for an active person who doesn ’ t have the luxury of a preheated car to commute in the winter!! Bought my normal size, but size up if you ’ ll be wearing bulky/oversized sweaters etc underneath. I usually add a Patagonia 1/4 zip for extra cold days… fits great.

[ I brought this coat for a dear friend and she loves it. Extremely warm and weathered for the elements. It ’s a great buy and it ’s actual down not synthetic.

[ I tried on so many coats to get me through Chicago winter with a dog and a toddler who loves to play outside. Out of several coats, this was the winter! I love the length and the high collar. I also love the hood, but am not sure how to loosen it once you pull the drawstring.
When selecting winter hiking clothes, prioritize insulation, moisture-wicking properties, and breathability. Look for materials that provide warmth without adding bulk, as well as features like windproof and waterproof capabilities to protect against harsh weather conditions. Layering options are also essential to help regulate body temperature during varying activity levels.
Insulation types in winter hiking clothes can vary significantly, with options including down and synthetic materials. Down insulation is known for its excellent warmth-to-weight ratio but may lose effectiveness when wet, while synthetic insulation retains warmth even when damp. Understanding these differences can help you choose the right clothing based on your hiking environment and personal preferences.
The best materials for winter hiking clothes include moisture-wicking fabrics like polyester or merino wool for base layers, and durable, weather-resistant materials like nylon or Gore-Tex for outer layers. These materials help keep you dry by wicking away sweat while providing protection against wind and snow. Additionally, look for clothes with thermal linings for added warmth.
Layering is crucial for winter hiking to maintain warmth and comfort. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer to keep sweat away from your skin, followed by an insulating layer for warmth, such as fleece or down. Finally, top it off with a waterproof and windproof outer layer to shield against the elements, allowing for easy adjustments based on activity level and temperature changes.
When choosing winter hiking clothes, consider the specific weather conditions you may encounter, such as temperature, wind, and precipitation. For colder, drier conditions, heavier insulation may be beneficial, while layered, breathable options are better for milder, wetter weather. Always ensure your clothing can accommodate changes in activity level to prevent overheating or excessive chill.
To ensure comfort while hiking in cold weather, focus on proper fit and flexibility in your clothing. Avoid overly tight garments that can restrict movement and circulation, and opt for materials that allow for breathability and moisture management. Additionally, consider the weight of your layers and choose options that provide adequate warmth without hindering mobility.
