This is a great waterproof, wind blocking rain coat. I have already worn it quite a few times. Strong Velcro too. Pros: I ’ m 5 ’ 125- 130 lb. It is not too long on me. Which is a problem when you are short. Sits just below the hips. Velcro on the sleeves cuffs is a plus because the arms are a little long& it keeps the wind out. Ordered a medium& can still wear a light weight sweater under it. Cons: Would be nice if it had a two way zipper for getting in& out of car& an inside pocket.

This was a replacement pair for my old ones that had done me a good 10 years' service before the left zipper slide broke. I am 5' 2 '' and really appreciate Marmot making full- zip pants in `` short. '' Because I live in an arid region, I use these mostly in winter for backcountry ski touring, layered over a pair of thermal bottoms. Aside from my unfortunate experience with the previous zipper slide, I do like the robustness of the zipper teeth. The water repellency of the fabric needs to be renewed every once in a while with a spray- on product. I have never been wet on the inside. Good fit, relaxed legs( 5' 2 '', 125 lb. wear M- short). [ I love this jacket. It's a perfect weight to layer warmth underneath, or keep yourself cool on warm rainy days. It fits beautifully. I prefer light colors for visibility in stormy conditions, so I got the white/tan one. The internal drawstring at the waist is flattering. The hood WILL NOT blow down in wind. I wish they did n't use so much velcro on the front tab covering the zipper, but I do like the low profile effect of it, so it's a wash. I am 5' 8 '', 125# and I got the small.

Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. Zippers are fail points for waters so we elected to minimize the water ingress points. Tl; dr kept us dry. Breathed well for intense, medium duration active wear

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I purchased this hoodie for sun protection on a recent 9- day backpacking trip. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. Furthermore, all the bug/blood/sweat stains cleaned up nicely after the trip and it looks good as new! As for durability and wind- proofness, I will bring it on my next two canoe trips this July and report back:)

The small fit fine, but I prefer a looser fit for layering and breathability:) And because this is a sun shirt, looser fit is best for the fabric to keep out sun rays, anyways. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

Leggings are the only thing that I have ever been able to wear hiking/ backpacking until now. Although leggings are great to wear while hiking, they are sometimes not durable enough for parts of the trail, but they were the only pant that came up high enough on my waist and had room for my hips and thighs. The Nikka, however, does both AND they add much more durability and confidence to my hikes. They also have bigger pockets which allow more room for storage. The stretch fabric through the midsection and thighs make rock scrambling and uneven terrain much more comfortable than a regular hiking pant as well.

I bought this for a trip to Paris, France and Tromso, Norway. I also bought the men's version for my son. I wore it as an outer layer in Paris( highs were low 50s). It rained a bit, and I was happy with the waterproof material. In Tromso, I wore it as a mid- layer under a thermal suit. We were in the Arctic Circle in freezing temperatures to see the Northern Lights. It compressed well and was not bulky to pack. You can also use it as a pillow( it can fold within itself). The jacket is lightweight and is thin. It's not a bulky, puffy jacket. If you 're looking for a slightly heavier jacket, then the next weight up is the Lätt( X- Lätt is this lighter one). Although I got it to travel, I still wear it on the `` cold '' days in Florida because it is so cozy. I 've washed it a few times with no issues. It's European sizing, so consider the next size up.

This is my first Fjallraven pair of trousers. I 've previously bought from other outdoor brands. Pros: Material seems high quality and very breathable even with long johns underneath. It feels durable and the stitching is immaculate. It has a lot of ventilation pockets and deep storage pockets. Deep pocket placement is great so items wo n't poke you while walking or squatting/sitting. The ankles are slightly flared so thick socks and boots can fit comfortably. They also have buttons so you can do a tighter fit. It is comfortably high waisted and makes movement smooth/easy. I have a curvy figure and the fit is very flattering. No crotch seam. Cons: there are questionable too many seams, which squeeze on you when squatting or bending the knee, but the pants may be flexible because of the seams. It is not a stretchy material so your size is very important. It hugs your waist, so it is not easy to put the pants on as a curvy person. Once it's on, it feels like a second skin though. It does run small. I was hoping a large would let me wear a base layer, but it just barely fits. With the amount of seams, a base layer will probably protect your skin from seams digging in. Will update once I take it out for a few weeks.

I got these pants in the spring for field work( I work in environment). I ended up wearing them all summer and was impressed how well they handled bushwacking in thick forest and shrubs without getting shredded. The big pockets are very useful to keep your things within reach at all time. In the fall I went for a 5- day backpacking trip and I was absolutely impressed by their versatility. We had some hot days, and the vents allowed me to stay comfortable. We had a night of pouring rain and the next day everybody got their pants soaked by the wet vegetation. The G- 1000 fabric was just water repellant enough to keep me dry. Finally we went over a snowy mountain pass, and the hooks allowed me to tie the pants to my laces and keep the snow from getting into my boots. Overall the only thing these pants could n't handle was the darn chipmunk that chewed a hole through the pocket one night to get at the couple peanuts that were left in there!

The first time I really used them, I was backpacking in the Sierras in the middle of summer and though I might use a lighter pair in that particular climate, the fact that I did n't feel like I was melting was huge. The Keb trouser is my favorite Fjallraven pant. I sometimes call it a technical sweat pant. It is THAT comfortable. These are my go- to pants for colder mountain biking temperatures and spring skiing. The botton system at the ankle makes for a good jogger style fit. Or you can loosen it up to fit over a bigger boot. Despite the two zipper vents I find that these trousers start to feel a bit too toasty for temps 65 degrees farenheit and warmer. Check out the abisko lite trekking trouser for a comparable style made with a lighter weight fabric.

I ’ m hard on gear, especially clothing when in the mountains. After loving my first pair of Kebs, I bought a second and they ’ re quickly replacing most of my softshell- style mountain pants. The side zips are great for venting the legs on sunny days on the glacier. I wear a women's 14- 16 depending on the bottoms and the 14 fits very well. They have a little give in them as well which is nice. I love that the slightly longer inseam helps prevent them from riding up in between the legs when walking( I find it annoying when my shorts do that). I hike with my phone in the back pocket and have not had any issues. I also like that the front pockets are very deep! The side zipper pocket is not very big but is still useful for things like keys and tissues.

I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. Like other reviewers said, it's a little rougher that ideal, but I do have to say, it held up to backpack friction much better than the Abisko wool shirt I took on the same trip and I did* not* get any irritation despite walking all day with a 10- 20kg bag for the first time. Dries very very quickly, which is great when conditions are damp.

I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. The reinforced knees and butt have been scrapped, snagged, and slid through mountains& forests and have held up incredibly well. After 250+ days in the field I finally retired then and bought another pair. Best investment ever.

I LOVE these! I have three colors and intend to buy the black pair: I wore them all day and barely noticed they were there. Incredibly comfortable, and they were not overly constricting. I am obsessed with these.

I wore these on a four night trip to the backcountry. They were incredibly comfortable and I loved the zippered pocket. By the third day, I did have to pull them up a bit but the drawstring came in handy. Our trip involved multiple water crossings and I found these tights dried quickly, which was a relief once temperatures dropped. I am 5 ’ 10 ” 155lbs and purchased a medium- great fit!

[ The stitching around the knees takes a little walking around to get used to, but once you do, these were quite comfortable to use. The large pockets were very handy for stashing a phone, and the reinforced butt and knees were great.

Went hiking in the Lake District and discovered my abisko tights were too large. Fortunately, I found a Fjallraven vendor and found these tights, which turned out perfect as I need a bit more insulation. I love the feel of these. They kept me warm on some pretty brutal days. They dry quickly. I am absolutely in love with Fjallraven tights, and these are a new favorite.

I think Fjällräven really succeeded it balancing the comfortability of tights with the durability required for trekking in forests. These are a perfect combination of the two- flattering and well fitting tights that hold up to the scuffing and scratching that comes with trekking through a natural environment. They still look brand new after several washes and many many treks. The added warmth is such a nice bonus!

[ Love the way these pants fit! I always love the look of Fjallraven pants, but these aren ’ t as warm as I hoped. I ’ ve used them in lower temps( 20- 30 ’s F) and my legs are cold to the touch. I definitely have less expensive rights that keep my legs warmer.

[ I was so impressed with how lightweight these pants are. They will be perfect in the spring, when I go on hikes. I found them to be true to size. I also love the fact that they can be converted into shorts as well.

[ Received a pair of Marmot Women ’s Arch Rock Convertible pants from Influenster and tried them on right when they arrived. They are a little bit snug but still on a weight loss journey. Looking to do a lot of hiking this spring and these pants will be very helpful. I love the option to make them tight at the ankle or to remove them at the knee to turn them into shorts. They are very comfortable and made of excellent quality material. I do love that they have sun protection as well.

[ These pants are great and versatile, the fabric is lightweight but durable and feels extremely high quality. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and the inseam is perfect as it hits the top of my hiking boots, not to mention the drawstring at the ankle makes it versatile when I ’ m wearing thicker wool socks.

[ I received the Marmot Arch Rock Convertible UPF 50 Pants for free in exchange for an honest review, and I couldn ’ t be happier with them! When I got them, I immediately thought they ’ d be perfect for my mother- in- law, who loves hiking and travels to all sorts of unique destinations. After trying them on, she said they were incredibly comfortable and lightweight. She wore them on a hike, and afterwards, she mentioned that they were some of the most comfortable pants she ’s ever worn. The convertible design is a great feature, especially for fluctuating weather during hikes. The UPF 50 rating is a bonus, offering solid sun protection while still being breathable.
