I have gotten rid of one pair, a suede pair, because after years of being in the elements they were not looking very professional anymore- but the shoe was still holding up minus the, understandably, worn down tread on the ball of the foot. The Emelie can be slipped on and off! Totally love this feature in a bootie. I ’ m still breaking them in but the foot shape that Sorel uses fits my “ pizza ” feet well( thinner mid foot and slightly wider toe splay). I sized 1/2 down for the Emelie because the last pair of boots I bought broke in so well that they are a tad floppy now. I only wish they came in half sizes. My usual size 6 fit with lightweight socks, but I knew I ’ d want to be able to wear heavier socks in winter, so I sized up to a 7. They ’ re pretty big with lightweight socks but fit very comfortably with heavier socks. A 6. 5 would have been perfect for both, but that ’s not stopping me from wearing them with lightweight socks too

I was looking for a waterproof boot that was n't thermalized so I could wear it in a range of weather-- these are perfect. The Chaco footbed is nice and supportive, and the shaft is wide enough for easy on and off. Also love the finger loop at the back to help. I wear a size 8 or 8. 5 wide in women's and I bought the men's 7-- it fits perfectly and the width is great.

Usually wear a women ’s 8. 5 wide. These fit just about right. These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.
