If I do n't wear them for a while they become narrow and tight but give them some heat or mink oil and they loosen back up and once they get hot from body heat they loosen back like my childhood baseball glove. I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

These boots are warm and waterproof, which was exactly what I was looking for. The snow levels were n't very high, so the boot height was perfect. I work in IT and while it may sound like I sit at a desk behind a computer screen, I assure you, I am climbing, squatting, lifting, pulling, in cramped quarters, outside, on roof tops, in dirty crawl spaces... The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Because in retrospect, they are the best boot I have ever worn. I have done EVERYTHING in them. Camping, hiking, yard work, home remodeling, etc. Rain, sun, snow, it has not mattered. Well first off these are Lightweight and at the end of the day you don ’ t feel like a horse shedding a saddle. They slip off and my feet feel great. I did put my arch supports in and these boots picked up where my other Georgia boots left off. The soles of the boots grip well on many surfaces and the tops have a nice feel and not too restrictive also. I ordered a half size bigger, since I wear wool soaks for added cushion on my feet. Now the only draw back is I wish they were a little narrower by a little. These feel like they are wide instead of a standard width. Again, my wool soaks help make up for some of the looseness but it is not a deal breaker by no means. Thus far for everyday work boots for someone who is on their feet a lot on concrete, these have done really well.

here's how much i love these boots. for the last 2 decades they have been on a constant rotation: oldest to still- in- the- box. as the oldest worn- out pair rotate out into the garbage( after years), the next pair moves to oldest slot for really dirty work, and i open the box for the newest pair for general wear. as soon as that box is opened, i order the next box. so, i always have a ratty pair, a semi ratty pair, a new pair, and a boxed pair. they are everyday wear, work& non- work, on& off the motorcycle. highly recommend, obviously.

I have been wearing this make Georgia boot since I was a little, I am 22 now, I work in the labor industry as a welder. This is the best most comfortable and very hardy boot. They are high quality leather, although they are comfortable out of the box, they do get more and more comfortable as you wear them. I am on my feet all day everyday so I put some Dr. Scholl ’s insoles in them to make them that much better.( I also have flat feet) One pair last me about 3- 4 years. And that is wearing them literally almost 365 days a year. As a welder I tend to not like laces and these boots are perfect for a welder except if you are needed steel toe. I mainly bought this boot because it can be resoled and the reviews on Georgia boot were very positive. This is the first time I have bought Georgia boot. I have usually bought Ariat, Wolverine, Red Wings and Tony Lama. I am tired of buying good boots only to find out they are trash after the soles are worn off or the glue separating. These boots( Georgia Giant Wellingtons) can be resoled by a cobbler and should last a lifetime with proper care. After throwing away two pair of RedWing Boots because the soles are separating because they are glued and can not be resoled, I am now a Georgia Boot customer.
