I work in a warehouse and walk 10- 12 miles a day, 260 days a year. I have worn the Eagle Trail boots by Georgia Boot this past year. They have been amazing. Only now are the insides starting to fail at the heels. The outsole has worn evenly and still has lots of life left. The leather has resisted being run over by pallet jacks, the toes have saved my toes numerous times. I bought them at the outlet store in Nelsonville and love them so much I will order them again full price. My feet do n't sweat, stink or get blisters. I sized them in W to allow exptra room in the toe box and will likely go up a half size this time. They fit true to size and look very good after a touchup with Helix Foot and Boot care. Because in retrospect, they are the best boot I have ever worn. I have done EVERYTHING in them. Camping, hiking, yard work, home remodeling, etc. Rain, sun, snow, it has not mattered. These boots have passed the test. The tread is still in tact, and I do n't have one loose stitch. I 'm sure they wo n't work for everyone. They are heavy, rugged, and undoubtedly there are more comfortable boots on the market. '' I am ordering another pair just to have them on hand for when these go. I love everything about them including the laces. I cleaned and protected the boots with fluid film lanolin oil. I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Chose the copper rough and tough because I think the look is so classic and understated. Love the versatility as well. Can use them with just about every pair of pants and( even shorts) in my closet. I 've worn these a few times a month for about five months now and I 'm impressed by their waterproof ability. Recently I had to work for several hours out in the rain and every layer I was wearing ended up soaked- but my socks and feet stayed dry! They are high quality leather, although they are comfortable out of the box, they do get more and more comfortable as you wear them. I am on my feet all day everyday so I put some Dr. Scholl ’s insoles in them to make them that much better.( I also have flat feet) One pair last me about 3- 4 years. And that is wearing them literally almost 365 days a year. As a welder I tend to not like laces and these boots are perfect for a welder except if you are needed steel toe. I have usually bought Ariat, Wolverine, Red Wings and Tony Lama. I am tired of buying good boots only to find out they are trash after the soles are worn off or the glue separating. These boots( Georgia Giant Wellingtons) can be resoled by a cobbler and should last a lifetime with proper care. Well, I ’ m sold. I ’ ve been a farm and ranch boot guy for the last 12 years. I bought these on a whim with plans to return them if I didn ’ t like them. Easily, this is the best pair of work boots I 've ever purchased. I work in IT and while it may sound like I sit at a desk behind a computer screen, I assure you, I am climbing, squatting, lifting, pulling, in cramped quarters, outside, on roof tops, in dirty crawl spaces... All in the PNW, so rain is a constant concern and not only are these incredibly comfortable but they 're sturdy, allowing me to feel confident that my boots will hold up under whatever pressure I put on them, keeping my feet, warm and dry. Buy a half a size lower for slip- ons and you 'll never have to worry about them getting too loose from wear and tear over time. I have two pairs now, the black pair and now the brown ones.
