This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. [ I have had several pairs of these and will keep buying them as long as they are available. I use them for everything from hiking and fishing to farm work, roofing and all types of construction. I even have a pair I wear for casual outings. I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

Columbia is by far my favorite brand of hiking boots/shoes because they always just fit me really well, and this boot is no exception. The Newton Wander is a good looking and comfortable hiking boot. I do n't feel like it needed any break in period, and I wore mine as my daily drivers until the arches were shot. I always left them tied, but could get them on and off quickly by looping the laces on and off of the top couple sets of hooks. Even after they were worn out and the soles were worn down, I kept them around and wore them a couple more times to do some landscaping work and rebuild a retaining wall in my back yard. They can really take a beating!

[ I was finally happy to see a wide light weight hiker from Keen. For awhile most of their light weight hikers never came in wide, so this is very welcome. The shoe overall is well build with solid traction. They are sneaker comfortable out of the box but I do wish they had slightly more arch support. The lack of arch support was solved by using a Keen foot insert, the k- 10. Tons of room the toe box too.

[ Ordered these boots and wasn ’ t sure how I ’ d like the wedge style sole as I usually get the work boot style sole. I absolutely love them! I ’ m a Framing Carpenter by trade so I work my boots hard and these are super comfortable and have been waterproof so far as well. I suspect they may start to leak after time, it gets pretty wet here in the Pacific Northwest, but they ’ re roomy enough for me to wear my gortex socks once they do. I wear a size 13 and I got just the normal width and they fit great, definitely 10 out of 10 would recommend!

It ’s hard enough for me to find shoes that fit( Size 17), but these not only had my size in stock, but they fit well on me right out of the box. Not too heavy, and the waterproofing has worked well so far in my three months of ownership. I would recommend sizing up if you have wider feet, but outside of that small issue the boots are a winner in my book.

I 've bought these Keen Targhee boots for several years. My latest pair arrived in mid April in the middle of a northern Wisconsin spring storm with rain, snow, sleet, and hail, all at the same time. None the less it was time to walk the dogs, so I put on my new boots, and spent 3 hours out in the storm with my dogs. The boots stood the test, keeping my feet warm and dry. Plus they were comfortable right out of the box! Good job Keen!

I 've taken these boots on multiple 10+ mile hikes now and can say I absolutely love them. They 're very comfortable in steep terrain or for long scrambles. I 've worn them in snow, rain, and hail and can say they 're definitely waterproof! Everyone is different when it comes to boots but Ive had Merrell hiking shoes and sandals and I know Merrells fit my feet well. These boots were no exception.

I work outdoors and walk tens of thousands of steps every day in every possible type of weather. I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. I 've only been wearing them for a few weeks, and while my feet have been delightfully dry( yes, they 're 100% waterproof even in standing water), I 'm wary about whether or not they will last as another brand or two also managed to keep themselves together for a few short months before disintegrating miserably and proving themselves not worth my money. So, while I 'm cautiously optimistic that my Merrells will outlast their competitors, I can confidently say that these are unequivocally the most lightweight, comfy and waterproof boot I have tried. Did n't even give me blisters as they broke in! All around, I 'm in love with the boots and am just desperately hoping their longevity is as impressive as their first impression.
