Because in retrospect, they are the best boot I have ever worn. I have done EVERYTHING in them. Camping, hiking, yard work, home remodeling, etc. Rain, sun, snow, it has not mattered. I work in a warehouse and walk 10- 12 miles a day, 260 days a year. I have worn the Eagle Trail boots by Georgia Boot this past year. They have been amazing. Only now are the insides starting to fail at the heels. The outsole has worn evenly and still has lots of life left. The leather has resisted being run over by pallet jacks, the toes have saved my toes numerous times. I bought them at the outlet store in Nelsonville and love them so much I will order them again full price. My feet do n't sweat, stink or get blisters. I sized them in W to allow exptra room in the toe box and will likely go up a half size this time. They fit true to size and look very good after a touchup with Helix Foot and Boot care. My paycheck depends on my feet being healthy. My feet depend on my Georgia Boots. Yes, I would say they are the best boot I have ever worn for work.

I have tried thorogoods, wolverines, and red wings all at 2- 3x the price of the boots, and these have consistently lasted longer for a much better price, the soles wear at a much slower rate and the leather does n't fall apart like others I have used. I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Chose the copper rough and tough because I think the look is so classic and understated. Love the versatility as well. Can use them with just about every pair of pants and( even shorts) in my closet.
