I use these boots for work, which typically means walking through streams, wetlands, and all sorts of forests and briars. I wish I had found these earlier! My previous boots were much more bulky in the foot, which is okay for wearing for a short time or distance. These boots are much better for walking a few miles and encountering streams. They had no break- in time( immediately comfortable), and have n't given me blisters like all other boots and many shoes have. My only issue is that the neoprene snagged on a twig and ripped a hole, and I had only worn them a couple times! If this boot came with the tall calf AND thicker neoprene, that would be great!! I need my boots to hold up to thorns etc.

I knew these would be great since I own at least 5 pairs of Chaco boots, including the regular Fields Chelsea ones. I have high arches so I know I can always count on Chacos to be supportive. They are TTS, comfy, and of course look great. I have two small complaints though- The arch support seemingly hits my arch a few millimeters too far back. It's not uncomfortable but it's enough to notice it and this has not been the case with any of my other Chaco boots. I know everyone's arches are in slightly different places so maybe I 'm just weird. The other thing I wish they would change is the shape of the lace hooks. They look sharp( as in stylish), but they are also literally sharp, in such a way that if you do n't carefully guide the laces around them, they split the laces and cause them to get stuck. This happens like half the time I wear them and as a result, the laces are starting to look sloppy already as the different threads have been getting pulled. I still love these boots and am happy I bought them, but I will probably need to replace the laces soon.

I wore a different Georgia boot for 3- 4 years before buying this one. My other one was not waterproof. It started falling apart after using it on my dirt farm. With this one I can walk in the creeks and all over. It is super comfortable, waterproof, light, and fits great! It handles cow manure, creeks, woods, rocks, dirt, etc.-- Just all- around great! In addition, the bottom grip is nice. I do n't have any problems walking or shoveling, and the inside cushion makes you want to wear it for all occasions. The only thing you might have to do is replace the cushion every now and then; with around 230 lbs. the cushion performs well, but takes a toll. For winter, I recommend some thick, cushioned, wool socks. Wool socks and boot make it a winning combination that ca n't be beat by any other. Buy it!

Needed a new pair of steel or composite toe work boots so went to a Bass Pro Shop on a specific mission for Keen boots. Wore non- ST Keens years ago and always like the look so thought I 'd try the ST version. Unfortunately Keen now runs wide and were exceptionally heavy... disappointing. Tried on about 8 pairs of boots from 4 different manufacturers and a price range from low 100's to 300+. Carhart,( or as we say in the northeast- Cah- haht) Millbrook CT was the clear winner both in price, comfort, and cool ol' school look. Literally bought them last night and wore them all day today and they felt like I 've owned them for years. If these were available in low cut, I would have bought those too. I prefer a boot that hugs the foot( see prior reviews) so this was perfect for me and very comfortable immediately. You 'll notice the single lace hook at the top so 95% full lace support is excellent, unobtrusive, and again, sooo comfortable. Appearance is a 5; Durability is admittedly unknown as this is my first pair, but based on initial observation, these should last for a while; Quality is definitely a 5; Functionality is a 5... for me. Well done Cah- Haht!!

Love the boot so far. The composite toe is definitely lighter than the steel toe but they are comfortable right from the get go! I made the mistake of getting a half size bigger since my normal size is always a little tight with the thicker socks in the winter so theyre definitely too loose on my feet. I shouldve stuck with my regular size. Oh and the zipper on the back is pretty sweet too. Definitely makes it very easy to slip on!

I think I may have ordered a half size too small, the toes on my right foot feel a little crowded. It could also be that I am used to square toe boots, but all around they seem like a solid set of boots. The tread is good, the stitching seems tough, and the zipper on the back is a nice touch for making the boots easier to get on and off. I do busway work for power plants, which requires a lot of climbing and crawling and these boots have held up very well over the past three jobs( total of almost six 70- ish hour work weeks) so far with no signs of degradation. They are lightly insulated for the waterproofing, so I think they could get a little warm for the hot and humid months.

Playing in the mud
So far so good! They were a little uncomfortable at first but after a week there are comfy. I wish the tongue was attached a like higher up the boot so you can stand in deeper water but other than that they work flawlessly! I ’ m a well driller and good boys are hard to find that hold up to the constant mud and water every day. George boots hold up better than anything I ’ ve slipped my foot in!

I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. Only now are the insides starting to fail at the heels. The outsole has worn evenly and still has lots of life left. I already own these boots without the safety toe and love them. These are no different aside of the break- in period. The non- steel toe were like house slippers from day one. These have taken a few weeks of wear to soften up and I am still having an issue with my left boot, but the right is great. They are extremely comfortable and easy to stand on most of the day. They run perfect to size and the steel toe is not invasive like other brands I have tried. I work in an environment that has a number of silicone based chemicals on the floor and it is slippery, but not in these boots! I have not even come close since I started wearing them. I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

I do n't usually buy slip on shoes/boots because I hate it when they slide up and down on my heel. These do not slide. They definitely take a little work to get on, but man do they fit well and stay snug. Being a little more difficult to put on is worth how they fit and feel. After a few days of break in, they are super comfortable. The quality is awesome. I hate shoes where the glued sole comes loose and starts flapping. These are made of heavy boot leather and the stitched goodyear welt means they wont come loose and can be resoled when you wear them out. For the price I DEFINITELY recommend these shoe/boots

Well first off these are Lightweight and at the end of the day you don ’ t feel like a horse shedding a saddle. They slip off and my feet feel great. I did put my arch supports in and these boots picked up where my other Georgia boots left off. The soles of the boots grip well on many surfaces and the tops have a nice feel and not too restrictive also. I ordered a half size bigger, since I wear wool soaks for added cushion on my feet. Now the only draw back is I wish they were a little narrower by a little. These feel like they are wide instead of a standard width. Again, my wool soaks help make up for some of the looseness but it is not a deal breaker by no means. Thus far for everyday work boots for someone who is on their feet a lot on concrete, these have done really well.
